Catering to a mature crowd, it is not boisterous and you can actually hear the lyrics. Tickets can be purchased on line and they partner with Willington Pizza so you get a 15% discount with your ticket. Bring your own food and beer or wine keeps the evening out very affordable.Please support this non profit gem so it can continue. Too many layouts to absorb in one day, all the big manufacturers with their latest projects, clinics, children's activities, small manufacturers selling great stuff at a discount, every little thing you need to start or expand in model railroading. THE place to see the latest innovations in tech, as well as discover that long lost kit you were looking for. New layouts every year, changes every year. I have no idea what show Bob T. went to, but clearly not this one. As a layout presenter for the past fifteen years or so I can certify that the kids will be enchanted and adults overwhelmed. I was genuinely excited about participating in the Holiday Market at Sonny's Place. I toured the grounds with one of their ambassadors, discussed my accessibility needs, and was told they'd help me secure a comfortable setup. I even took the time to alert their team about scam posts on Facebook from people pretending to collect vendor fees--trying to protect their community. Instead of being met with professionalism or gratitude, I was removed as a vendor without explanation. No courtesy call, no clarity, nothing but dismissive behavior from Mackenzie, the person handling vendor relations. After everything I shared and the effort I put in, her response made it clear how poorly these events are managed. To make matters worse, the building itself is not ADA accessible, which violates the basic principles of ADA Title III. As a full-time wheelchair user, that alone speaks volumes. Equal access should never be an afterthought. I came in with good faith, ready to create something beautiful for families and children. Instead, I left disappointed, stressed, and honestly shocked at how little care was given to accessibility or communication. Vendors--especially those of us in the disability community--should think twice before signing up. Avoid the headache and the heartache. You deserve better than this.

They offer live music, art exhibits, film & video screenings, poetry & spoken word, theater & performance art, and children's events. Local and national artists grace their stage, screen, and walls. Their emphasis is on emerging artists, independent musicians, and other non-mainstream creative types. A lot of local scenes have coalesced around this place. Admission is kept low making all events affordable for the local community. The venue is supported by door donations, fundraising, and grants. Periodically Flywheel puts on large scale shows featuring acts like Fugazi and Le Tigre. Flywheel is currently on hiatus due to the renovations being performed on their relocation space in the former town hall. Their previous site featured a cafe, zine library, art gallery, and performance space. Local scenester tip: Don't call it "The Flywheel". I look forward to visiting them in their new incarnation!

Flywheel has recently been the venue for Ladyfest and benefit shows for Pioneer Valley's Zine fest, and looks forward to showcasing more local bands. It's all volunteer-run, and people are free to donate some time to help out, either with shows or at "work parties" (like the bi-weekly party for cataloguing zines) as much or as little as they can.
