From the reviews, the first conversation, up until the day of the wedding, my husband and I had the best impression of MDP. I loved their style, their warmth, and professionalism. To give context, we chose the base package. That also means waiting for the video for 9-12 months after the wedding, which we were prepared to do. But the experience from after the wedding until now was unexpectedly frustrating. It felt like buying a used car. Salesy tactics in flash sales. You, as the buyer, see something you like, purchase it. Before receiving it though, you have to jump through hoops to buy more options or upgrades for things you thought were inherently in your initial purchase. Makes you question what you are getting. And at the very base level, a wedding vendor should offer all that you need. In terms of actual video, the highlights video is well done but felt the most important moments were not actually edited in/captured. The full edit of ceremony and our reception dinner (an added request) was edited and framed at an almost amateur level. Review for Wedding on May 13th 2016. My wife loved the cinematic productions of Major Diamonds previous work. She loved their style, their warmth, and professionalism. To give context, we chose the base package which include waiting for delivery of our highlight video for 9-12 months after the wedding, which we were prepared to do. Positives: Both Jennifer and Chris were pleasant and friendly to work with in person. Both were accommodating and even brought a drone to capture angles that we did not know they were going to bring. Negatives: Started after the wedding the experience was frustrating, as communication was poor and slow. We continued to receive sales emails from Jennifer trying to squeeze more money from us. "Flash sale! Capture your toasts and parents dance for only x.99!" These emails made us question what we paid for if the video did not include important parts of the wedding. What made us even more frustrated, was that we paid more to have them stay and film our full wedding. However, the extra cost to have them cover the wedding, did not mean they would deliver a video that included the full wedding. Parents toasts, bridal party toasts, and dances were excluded and seemingly held hostage for more money. The highlights video that was delivered was produced well. However as I mentioned above, the most important moments were not edited in/captured. Carrie C. and I got married yesterday and I couldn't wait to come to Yelp and tell the world about it! it is a crying shame that these two do not have a review on Yelp. You will not encounter a more warm and professional pair. They were so awesome with us, and the same day edit had our guests in awe! (Like seriously this was shot 3 hours ago? how is this possible?) Jennifer Mae will really connect with the bride because she herself is newly married and knows what brides are going through. Chris felt like one of my bros hanging out shooting the shit with us as we got ready. there is no vision they can't make happen and you can tell they are really vested in making this awesome for the bride and groom. 2 pieces of advice- 1) Make room in your budget for a videographer. Seriously, it's the only thing that you can relive over and over again. 2)BOOK THEM NOW BECAUSE IN A YEAR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS TALENT! We love you guys! read more

Ryan Y and I hired major diamond productions because we love their work. After previewing some of the weddings they filmed on their blog/website, I knew they would do an amazing job filming our wedding. Jennifer and Chris are very responsive (quick to answer emails/phone calls,) super creative, flexible, and all together fun to work with. Wedding planning is difficult, but they made it so easy for me. They drove out to our venue the week before the actual wedding to search for great places to shoot...places we would have never discover ourselves. Major Diamond Productions is one of the best wedding vendors of all time! Since the day we first met, Jennifer Mae and Chris have been both very professional, approachable and most important of all, hands-on. They are very passionate about their craft and it definitely showed in the finished product! They are not the type of videographers who will just come on your big day and press the record button. They are there with a goal in mind - to tell your story. And that is what we and our wedding guests witnessed! I have seen our extended SDE for about 10x now and I have cried every single time. Jennifer Mae really tried to know us personally so she knew the background of our love story. She knew that there was a story to tell and she delivered it with so much life and emotion. Before our wedding day, they asked us for our love story and our favorite artists. To our surprise, they used songs from the singers we listed down even though they weren't mainstream! Talk about tedious work! They even asked us for a copy of our proposal video. I was wondering why they needed it but lo and behold, they were able to connect it to our wedding day video which added even more "awww" and "aaah" to it! These guys are really amazing! On our wedding day, we were expecting two videographers as we have discussed. BUT they came with an additional videographer which made them even more awesome! All of them were very nice and accommodating. They made the nervous bride and groom feel comfortable and at ease. Months after our wedding, we were expecting to receive a plain dvd with a handwritten title on it. We were so wrong. As soon as we arrived at their office, we were given not just one but 8 copies of our wedding DVD nested in a basket of goodies - popcorn, chocolates, candies and so much more! They said it was something for us to enjoy while watching our wedding video! Wow! Thank you Jennifer Mae and Chris! Jennifer and Chris did a good job on our wedding video. We were pressed for time but they managed to do all the shooting in one day, and delivered the video a couple weeks ahead of time. They did this while they were at a very busy time in their lives. We felt proud showing the video at our wedding, and our DJ and guests commented on how professionally made it looked. The content of the scenes synchronized with the music's lyrics, and Jennifer and Chris conveyed the storyline (the concept of which was decided by us, but the sequence and choice of shots was by Jennifer and Chris) in 2 1/2 minutes. read more

Let's put it this way, if they are booked on your wedding day... change your date! I am serious, these folks are AMAZING! I didn't particularly want a video as I thought it would be intrusive and boring - I am so happy to be wrong. First, they have cameras that take video (with no lights) so it just looks like you have more photographers. Second, they do something that no one else does, they make a little music video of you getting ready and the ceremony that they show AT THE RECEPTION! I am so glad that they captured how my dad sounded when he saw me for the first time, how it was to see Mike for the first time, everything. They are not cheap but spend less on flowers (I recommend Paul's flowers btw very affordable and beautiful) and make sure to hire them ASAP. I would like to highly recommend this wonderfully talented couple as videographers for everyones wedding (and I suppose party as well). We were married in Beverly Hills and Chris and Jennifer did not give us the usual boring chronological tale of our wedding, the type we have all seen numerous times. What we got was absolutely artistic, exciting and different, with all the subtle influences well trained videographers and more importantly editors employ. Major Diamond Productions performed beyond our expectations in every dimension. The first time we met with Chris and Jennifer Mae, they made my fiancee cry ... and that's a good thing! They seemed to really care about us even though we were complete strangers. They let us know, that no wedding goes perfectly but no matter what, we will always treasure our wedding day memories and they seemed to really want to give us that gift. All in all, their service is top notch. They showed up (on time) in professional looking all black outfits. They set up cameras and moved about in the ceremony and the reception in an inconspicuous way. It seemed they were conscious about not getting in anyone's way. Wow, Jennifer and Chris are consummate professionals! I cannot overemphasize the extent to which we recommend them. Think about it: there are so many wedding-related expenses the fruits of which you're only able to enjoy for ONE evening. A video, however, can be viewed and cherished for a lifetime. There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Major Diamond Productions. I will forever be grateful for their artistic and creative eye that forever captured the love I felt on our wedding day. The level of professionalism, kindness, and love that they approached our wedding day with was more than I could have ever asked for. I already knew after watching a few of their videos that I was going to love their work, but when they showed up on our wedding day and I watched them set up a scene for them to shoot- I knew that they were the best people I could have ever picked for our day. We got married in August 2010 and could not be any happier with the work that Jennifer Mae + Chris did for our wedding video. Our highlight video is just perfect and comments from friends are that it's the best wedding video they have ever seen. Both Jennifer + Chris are so easy and pleasant to work with, they were very patient with us from the beginning, as my husband was anti-video from the beginning, but he now is so thankful we hired them and just loves the video. We are so thankful for having good video coverage as our photos did not turn out at all. Jennifer was especially helpful to me as a bride, offering advice and comfort during a stressful time. They got all the great angles on shots that the photographer did not get, with a great eye for details, creativity, and really captured all the right moments.
