Katie was beyond our expectations! We were told that she is starting her photography career, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We saw some of her work with family photography and immediately saw the potential. She arrived the day before the wedding and what a breath of fresh air. There was no pretentiousness, no "Well, I wouldn't do it that way" attitude. Instead, she listened to what we were looking for in a photographer, asked some questions to dig deeper in some areas (i.e. important family / friend photos, dancing photos, etc.), and then got a feel for the flow of the event (as it was really an all-day affair). The next day, she showed up early and was ready to rock. She did a phenomenal job of meandering throughout the crowd to get shots that we'll cherish for a lifetime. The wedding was at a lake-side resort in Northern Michigan (Chimney Corners, Frankfort) and Katie used her expertise to incorporate the lake and rustic surroundings. One minute she'd be taking a photo of our family, the next she'd be laying flat on the ground to get the perfect shot of our friends. At one point, she was laying in the middle of M-22 (a lovely road that winds through Northwest Michigan) to get a priceless shot of us walking down the road. We escaped the party and did a more private photo shoot with the bride/groom, leveraging the rustic exploits of the resort. She was never pushy. She knew where the good shots would be. She was always asking us for any feedback. It was reassuring to know we had a budding photography wizard at the helm. Wedding photography really comes down to one thing - the end product! It was delivered to us in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! We plugged the thumb drive into our computer upon receipt and were immediately whisked back to our wedding day. The quality was immaculate. The photos looked like they were ready to be printed. She already touched them up, picked out the best photos, and provided them to us for immediate use. She even gave us good advice on what companies to use for printing photos for us and our families. marcie of pink moon photography captured my hard but redeeming vbac experience from beginning to…read moreend and also did a maternity shoot for us a couple weeks prior to the birth. she is very personable and was such a pleasure to work with. my husband and i were a little leery about having someone we didn't know capturing such an intimate experience. but when i initially spoke to her on the phone i knew she was the right person for the job and meeting her in person before the birth to go over the process put me and my husband totally at ease. marcie documented every emotion of the labor and delivery process. priceless looks exchanged between me and my husband. the support of our doula. joy, exhaustion, pain, setback, perseverance, accomplishment. our daughter crowning and being delivered from my body and placed onto my chest, something i had not had the privilege of experiencing during my first birth. i will forever treasure these moments marcie so beautifully captured that make up my redeeming vbac experience. our maternity photos were taken at the botanical gardens in ann arbor. i love outdoor photos but didn't think they were possible in january in michigan. but marcie informed me the impossible was definitely possible! the greenhouse of the gardens was like a balmy bit of florida in the middle of winter. marcie made this 36 week pregnant mama feeling like a whale look like a goddess! i can't recommend marcie highly enough. i loved working with her and plan to continue to do so in the future.

I was told to come here for the jeans on the boutique side of course. Someone that used to work…read morehere highly recommended it and said they have a great selection of jeans. She even suggested trying on their Parker Smith jeans. The first day I came they were closed. I came back during the end of this week. The photography side was closed today, but the Boutique side was open. It's a small boutique shop on the other side of this building. There's a sordid dresses, shorts, skirts, sweaters and Jewelry. My eyes went right to the jeans, since that was the one reason I had come. The woman that help me behind the desk is super helpful and grabbed several pairs of jeans for me to try on. She put them all into a fitting room for me. They have a lot of shredded style jeans in at the moment. They had very few non-ripped or shredded jeans in today. They will be getting more shipment in, however it was being delayed with a pandemic and all. The service was friendly and really good. The Parker Smith jeans are on the pricey side, but they fit like a glove and are super comfortable. I settled on the dark wash, even though they were little too dark for me. I was told that the wash would not feed much, bummer. At least they were super comfortable and fit well. I'll be back for more jeans here when they get another larger shipment. They definitely need to have more standard or normal medium washed jeans without rips and shreds for me.

Then she wanted more money to take more pictures. Absolutely ruined my senior photo experience. She's a huge scam and needs to be shut down.
