Unfortunately we broke down on I-95 on our way from Jacksonville to Miami. After having an awful experience with another mechanic shop in the area, we ended up here. THANK GOD WE DID. WORST customer service I've ever experienced! We asked to be called when the driver was 30 minutes out because we were 25 minutes away. The driver called when be was 1 minute out and was extremely rude and very unprofessional. He told us he would just pop the door and when we askwd him not to do that (last time someone had to pop the door it was broken and we had to pay $80+ to get it fixed. This is why we asked for it not to be popped) he said he would just cancel the call and hung up. When we called dispatch they said the tow was canceled ans hung up. Now when we call tbey send our calls to voicemail refusing to answer. We are trying to get our vehicle towed and fixed. I would never recommend or use this company. Rude driver and even ruder dispatchers. You don't hang up on cuatomers. UPDATE- We had to start over with our insurance company to set up a tow and our insurance company said they they (KAM Towing) was showing that our vehicle was on the truck being towed! It is NOT...I am sitting next to my vehicle at this moment (7/27/2023 @5:35pm). So not only did they cancel our call and hang up on us they are stating they have our vehicle in order to get paid from our insurance company. FRAUDS!!!!! read more

Terrible, dishonest company. Lied to my fiends mother when AAA sent them to pick her up. On the way to the her repair shop they told her their tow truck had a wheel problem and they would have to stop at their repair facility to check it out. Once there, they scared and pressured the older lady to do repair there. She said she was afraid of the area of town they are located and afraid to tell them no, take me to my repair shop. She complained to AAA but they still use them because they are cheap for AAA. I received poor service from this repair shop. My vehicle was towed to this facility by a driver provided by AAA. The driver and manager assured me that my vehicle would be repaired properly by 10:00 am the day after it was towed to the shop. He assured me that they would call me or text me to inform me of any changes. In addition, they damaged the controls for the cruise control. They did not repair the vehicle in a timely manner. I had to wait 3 days before they called to say the vehicle was repaired and available for me to pick it up. They did not call or text to inform me of issues that would delay the repair of the vehicle. Finally, the damage they caused to the Cruise Control will require replacement of the control buttons and the wiring harness. An estimate to fix the damage from a reputable repair shop $831.91. At this time the manager refuses to acknowledge that the damage was done in his facility. read more

Several months ago, our car wouldn't start and attempting to jump the battery didn't work. We had the car towed by AAA and they said it was the air compressor that needed to be replaced. Found it hard to believe since it was replaced less that a year prior. We were not there for all this and they said they were able to get it started, drove it to test and died on them. Hmm. They then had to replace the alternator which I had a feeling it was as the compressor and battery were recently replaced. They replaced it but lost some bolts to hold on the engine. This took them several hours to get a replacement for. I had to pay credit as I didn't have $1000 cash and they charged me an extra $80 cause I paid by card. After I got home, I started having all sorts of issues with the car. Air conditioner stopped working a couple days later, got a leak in the radiator, the list goes on. Long story short, they stripped the engine bolts which my normal machining said he would t repair as it would cost too much to fix. I had to sell my car. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They do not know what they are doing. read more

We were visiting in Cocoa and after breakfast found our car with a dead battery, and we weren't sure why. We thought we would have to buy a new one, but the local retail store was out of the replacement. We looked up the brand and found MAK auto repair was a certified retailer and could honor the guarantee, if there was one, and they had the replacement. We went there expecting to have to pay for a new battery plus installation, because we knew we hadn't left any lights on . We'll when they tested the battery, alternator, and starter, they let us know that we not only didn't need a new battery, but that there was no charge for the service. This is an honorable business, they could have sold us a new battery or even a repair and we wouldn't have known, but instead showed the reason you should support small local businesses. The people we visited there will be long term customers now because they know they can trust them. read more
