Cocktails, mocktails and smoothies were all great and the bartenders were very personable and accommodating to all our special requests.

Lovely, friendly down to earth spot for drinks and a few pupus. Bartender friendly and chatty; loved the music at sunset!

Also, did I really want a Sonic burger? The answer was an easy no. Did a quick search and found this place which I had no idea existed but now I know they exist in an excellent way. People come here to drink, I'm not a drinker but there was plentynof alcoholic beverages on the back wall for your choice that it could be overwhelming. This is a bar with indoor seating and a World Cup game was on. I think there was outdoor seating but it looked like a different restaurant to me. We ordered dirty fries, a sweet tea, the simple smash, village smash, and sweet tea. I have to admit, I'm overly harsh on burgers but from the first bite, this hit right to me. The dirty fries were good also. We washed down that salt with their mildly sweet sweet tea. That's the only miss for me as I like deep sweet tea thanks to some time spent in Mississippi earlier in life. Their food put themselves on my radar so we will definitely be back as we didn't even scratch the other meats they had on menu.

I placed an online order for pickup with a scheduled pickup time of 8:15 PM. I arrived a few…read moreminutes early, checked in, and the employee told me it would be "just a minute" before walking away. Since the restaurant looked very busy, I waited another 25 minutes, until about 8:45 PM. I then asked for an update on my order, and I was told it would be another 20 minutes. At that point, I asked if my order had even been started, considering it was only two Smash Burgers and an order of fries. Given the excessive delay and lack of communication, I requested a refund. The long wait and poor updates were very disappointing, especially since I had placed my order in advance for pickup.

Good solid experience with nice food and nice ambiance and decent service…read more Caesar salad was good and fresh 9/10. Siamin was maybe my favorite dish, smokey the noodles extra al dente and the pork was flavorful 9.5/10. Pesto Gnocchi was pillowy and soft and the pesto sauce was light and flavorful and was one of the few vegetarian options. I would get again 8/10. Side of broccoli was spicy and zesty 9/10. Cocktails were also very nice way to start. It's a tradition to always hit the minkeypod when in hawaii and will continue. Don't forget the pies! Overall, definitely a touristy vibe but pretty good quality overall.

Came here while staying at Aulani. We weren't too hungry yet and mainly got appetizers and drinks…read moreduring happy hour. Majority of the appetizers we got were good. - truffle fries..well...their truffle fries and cant really go wrong - taro dumplings (i forgot if thats what we got but they were good but not blown away either) - corn chowder was good - brisket pesto pizza? (Im overdue with the review so forgot what pizza it exactly was) but i remember this was good. It was in the happy hour menu is all i can remember. - wings but unsure about the goat cheese dip. I prefer plain ranch - the kids pasta was good. Well, one kiddo loved it while the other didn't. So it depends on preferences on this one. I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Went back to Aulani a but bummed and decided to get another at Aulani the next day instead and I will say, i liked it better as it followed the more traditional way of making it. So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.

Since we moved away, I wanted to make sure we enjoyed Mickey waffles at least once during our stay. I ordered the kids' Mickey Waffles and the adult size. It came with a choice of meat and fresh fruit. The waffles were soft, fluffy, and dusted with powdered sugar. The bacon was crispy. My nephew really liked the Portuguese sausage. I also ordered the Aulani Special blended drink, a mac nut mocha blended with your choice syrup, while my brother got the iced version of the Aulani Special with whipped cream. The blended Aulani Special was good! Nice consistency, flavor and it was nice on a humid day. Off the hook is an outdoor casual dining area. There is bar seating and tables that you seat yourself. The lots open from sun rise and close at sunset. At the same area near lagoon four is paid parking on the left side. If we stay again we will order breakfast from here and get a coffee to start the day . I want to try eating at night under the stars.

The portions are generous, the menu has an amazing variety. I had the special fish, which was ahi blackened tuna on mashed potatoes. I loved it. My husband had the roast beef dip, tender with a side of au jus. To round out the orders were the burger (basic), Caesar (well dressed) and a generous sized chicken club. Our waitress was pleasant. The music gave great vibes. Will stop back again on this trip.

Beachfront dining with excellent service, unbeatable lagoon views, and decent food. Overall,…read morethe food was very nice plated and great flavors, but in my opinion every dish was slightly salty, not a deal breaker but certainly could be a little less heavy handed. I would come back again but hope everything would be a little bit more dialed in to make it 5/5 stars. Kambucha squash with miso caramel: great flavor and great texture but sauce was again very seasoned. 8/10 NY strip steak: perfectly cooked medium rare with nice crunchy bits on top and very tender. It was served with a few sauces that while indeed salty again, in this case it worked and the salt let the beef flavor shine. 9/10 would definitely come back again for this. KFC cauliflower: korean fried iteration of cauliflower it was spicy, sticky, crunchy, sweet and definitely was one of the table favorites. 9/10 Sunset roll: standard sushi roll with crab and fish on top. It was good and fresh. 8.5/10 Beef, pork, mushroom skewers: the pork belly was great and the sauce was tasty and not overly salty, my favorite of the three. The beef was decent but did not really compare to the steak we had so having them side by side made it kind of underwhelming. The mushrooms were good but kind of small for the price compared to the others. 7.5/10 Shoyu eggplant: eggplant was plump and tasty with a definite soy sauce taste. Kind of verged on the salty side but considering shoyu was in the name it definitely delivered on that front. 8/10 Shrimp toast: fried Japanese milk bread with shrimp and a tangy sauce and salad on top. Great crunch and flavorful shrimp but again the sauce was verging on overly salty. That said, we all did enjoy this dish and would order it again. 8.5/10 Fresh caught fish with crispy skin over rice with consumme: this dish was the only dish that was not overly salty and I thought was delicious, well balanced and had nice delicate flavors. My one nitpick was the skin did not come out crispy as advertised. 8/10 Scallops: Three scallops served over a cream sauce with rice cakes and salmon eggs. The scallops and sauce were the star and very tasty on its own, however, when eat with the ikura, again it followed the trend of overly salty so I kind of avoided it. The rice cakes were kind of just there and was surprisingly bland considering the aforementioned saltiness. Overall, while the scallops and sauce were nice, the dish was a little underwhelming for the high price and small amounts of scallops ($16 per scallop). 7/10 In summary, most dishes had high and lows, but with the great service and views this place still offers a lot of value, I just think it has some kinks to work out.
