But the first night was great, our server, Shauna from KĂNEOHE was friendly, we had the Steak Bites, side of rice and PUA'A KĀLUA GRATIN (that was very good)!! We vacation at Aulani every summer and regrettably this is only the second time we've dined here. Out of all the meals we've eaten on our trip, we ranked The Olelo Room in our top two. Our server, Ui, was AMAZING!!! She was very attentive and took great care of us. We did the Olelo room for breakfast. They offer hot malasadas individually, as a 6 pack, and as a 12-pack. We did the 6 pack figuring there were only 2 of us and 3 malasadas each would have been plenty. We were wrong. They pair so so so well with hot coffee. It's always nice to visit the Aulani resort when I come to Oahu. The Olelo is a great place to share some dishes and have a few drinks while "talking story". It's a bit overpriced but it's a Disney resort so it's expected. We split a couple of sushi rolls which were good, sliders that were underwhelming (I don't recommend them. Dry and unappetizing) and a pineapple cobbler that was pretty decent. The fries are great. My pina colada was mixed really well. Not overly sweet and the correct amount of alcohol. Service is always great. The servers are always pleasant and check on you to make sure you're having a positive experience. They always have a pair of musicians providing entertainment playing mellow Hawaiian music in the background. A relaxing way to spend a few hours on a warm summer evening. read more

Came here for the first time with my friends. Everyone knows and loves Leonard's Malasadas, but my friends swear by the Olelo's Malasadas being either just as delicious or even better whaaaaaat. Anyways, we order about 10 malasadas. They're definitely larger than Leonards. In fact, they look like the buns used for the McDonald's hamburgers. Anyways, it is very delicious as well and even more so when it's warm. We basically smashed most of the box within minutes lol. Overall, definitely something to grab while you're here. I probably wouldn't drive all the way here to pick it up, but I'd say it's delicious in its own way so I can't really compare the 02 malasada shops, but at least one doesn't have a crazy long line and another has the beautiful surroundings of Disney characters. The staff were fast and friendly. Parking is located in their paid parking garage, but don't forget to validate your ticket. Lots of tables in and around the Aulani Hotel. If you're not a guest of the hotel, I believe you're not allowed outside so be mindful of that. read more

The Olelo room is one of my favorite spots in Aulani. We like to stop here for dinner with no need for a reservation and usually no wait in line (around 6pm). We ordered the moriawase sushi and a couple rolls. It comes with a very cute Mickey shaped wasabi! The sushi quality is fairly decent although could be fresher. Prices are reasonable, not cheap but not too expensive. I also ordered chicken tenders and fries from the kids menu and it came with an ample amount of fries. read more

As a local, we love the Olelo Room. All staff speak Hawaiian, the menu, the decor, everything highlights the Hawaiian language and has clear intentions of teaching and educating its consumers. The live musicians that play here are all local artists who are known as some of the best Hawaiian musicians that our islands can offer. We always come to support Uncles Jukebox and Nick Lum (from the band Keauhou). The sweetest getaway from everyday life for locals or the best way to experience Hawaiian language when on vacation. The food is all sushi or appetizers but more than enough selections to have a full meal. The drink selection and cocktail selection is expansive and they have something for everyone... even the servers are pretty knowledgeable with suggestions if you're unsure of what to get. Walked in at 8 pm and there was no wait. They have beautiful decor with the wood carvings labeled in Hawaiian. The carvings were really cute, tying Disney characters in some of the figurines. The Portuguese donuts were not cheap by any means, typical resort prices. But the donuts were big and fluffy, very delicious and filling. So we came at least twice to get a half dozen in the morning. The servers here will speak the Hawaiian Language as a cultural immersion for our guests but don't worry they'll speak English to you as well. Food is delicious and the best drink is the old canoe.
