Longhi's Ko Olina is one of the two restaurants that the Marriott in Ko Olina have to offer at their resort in Hawaii. The hotel is pretty secluded compared to being right in the city, but if you don't mind a walk, is close to a small shopping center with a few other food places and the hotels next door. The Marriott's other restaurant, Longboard's, is more casual, while this restaurant, Longhi's, is their fancier option for fine dining. With this in mind, this restaurant is, at the end of the day, is just alright. The seating area has the best views, but is slightly packed, although it is truly a beautiful ambiance. It is somewhat in the middle of the hotel, though. However, the service was lacking, if even present, and the food is, as expected, pricey. For some guests, hotels gave them vouchers to redeem at the restaurants near by, and this was one of those restaurants that you could redeem it at. With the voucher, this restaurant is a little bit easier to justify, but without, you are left paying high prices for fine food and a great view. If you are on the resort, then this is also easier to justify, as it is one of the closer options compared to the others. If you're not staying at the Marriott connected to it, then I wouldn't suggest going out of your way to go here. We ordered the crab cakes and the shrimp risotto. The crab cakes were really good, with a few different textures like the crunchies on top! If you like crab or crab cakes, or if you want to try something new, I would suggest that you order this or split it with a friend or partner. The shrimp risotto was fine, but after trying it, I ended up wishing that I ordered something else on the menu. It wasn't that it was bad, it just was okay. I feel like people have certain expectations for a higher end restaurant like this, and it wasn't hard to see why after going, that this restaurant is rated the way it is. read more

We were staying at the Marriott and this restaurant is on the bottom floor. Convenient with a nice, relaxing atmosphere. We split a Rueben sandwich on the day we arrived while waiting to check in. The sandwich and the fries were good but not spectacular. One morning we split the Egg White Omelette. It has spinach, feta and tomatoes. It was a solid omelette and the bread was toasted perfectly. This review is long overdue, but we went to Longhi's for Mother's Day brunch and left feeling a bit underwhelmed. One thing this restaurant definitely has going for is the setting. It's a beautiful outdoor and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't quite live up to the location. I ordered the fish and chips, while my boyfriend went with the Maine lobster eggs Benedict. We waited a long time for the food to come out, probably well over an hour. While I know it was a holiday and they were very busy, it still felt excessive. When my fish and chips arrived, it was a bit sad looking for the price. The fish itself was good with the tartar sauce, but the plate consisted of just two small pieces of fish and a modest serving of fries. On a more positive note, my boyfriend enjoyed the lobster eggs Benedict and had no complaints about his dish. Other people in our party though the food was just ok. Our server was nice in the beginning, but service became less attentive after our food arrived. We had to tag her down to get additional assistance or check-ins Since we came on a busy holiday, it's possible we caught the restaurant on an off day. However, between the long wait, portion size, and inconsistent service, the experience didn't quite justify the cost. While it's a very nice and higher-end restaurant, there are other brunch spots that offer better value and a more memorable dining experience. read more

I come here at least 4 times a year so hopefully management reads my review and takes time to coach up the hostesses as they are the face of the restaurant when welcoming customers. We had a reservation at 8:30 PM on Friday night. When we arrived the hostess told us that last call could be in 10 minutes. She was not friendly and seemed like she was burdened to seat us or maybe she was just eager to get off her shift. Either way, it was not the normal friendly service I'm used to when going to Longhi's. Unfortunately, when we sat down we rushed to order drinks and food. Luckily, I have the menu memorized so I ordered quickly. However, Lance, our waiter totally was amazing and did not rush us at all. He totally made up for the initial experience with the hostess. Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 Crab Benedict with real crab was perfectly seasoned 10/10 so delicious on top of toasted fresh bread. I prefer this more than it being on top of an English muffin. FOOD, LOCATION, AMBIANCE, SERVICE and quality - Longhi's has it all. First off, for those missing the Longhi's at Ala Moana (from many years ago) THIS is the place. Who knew? I've known and just didn't want to share. It's located at the Marriott Beach Club at Lagoon 4 at Ko'olina. Valet parking only unless you're staying there (then you have parking). Get your ticket validated and I believe it's $3.00. Then head down the stairs or elevator to the ground floor. You can opt for bar or table seating. I've taken all my off island friends and family here and they love it as much as I do. I've even had a private party here (that's how much I love the place). I've eaten my way through their menu and I can attest that everything is good here. I'm a "Benny," (eggs Benedict) kinda gal and it just never disappoints. Their crab cake apps is also a go-to if you're not that hungry but want a lil sum-sum. Add a mimosa to the order and it's perfection! The menu is pretty mixed too, so you can go for breakfast or jump straight into things like pasta or a sandwich. The fish and chips were delicious! The batter was light, not too greasy or heavy, and the shoestring fries definitely hit the spot. The açaí bowl was really good too. It's made with açaí and mango sorbet and loaded with fruit--bananas, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries. Super refreshing and actually pretty filling. The lobster Benedict was the letdown. The sourdough kind of took over the whole dish, and the lobster was chewy and oddly cold. Not something I'd order again. On the plus side, the service was great--everyone was really friendly and attentive, which made the experience better overall. Definitely a convenient spot at the resort, but I'd stick to the basics next time. read more

First and foremost, I must commend the staff for their outstanding customer service and surprise, complimentary celebratory dessert. Valet with parking validation from restaurant up to 3 hours. Thereafter, $8 per every half an hour and not allowed to stay past 11 PM. We were done before the three hours. If the menu indicates warm French bread, I'm hoping to see it served in a basket with covered cloth napkin to preserve warmth. Delicious black lava salt honey butter made a huge difference. It was a hit especially with the younger generation. Grateful that the first serving is free. Thereafter, it's $5 per extra serving. Calamari tasted good by itself. Spicy Arrabiatta Sauce and Lemon Garlic Aioli tasted better on its own or separate. Seared Scallops and Creamy Pesto plus Shrimp Fettuccine Lombardi, both $44 for the quantity and number of ingredients doesn't match price point. This entree is a prime example of inflation in fine dining. Simple dish. Expected more flavors. I appreciate scallops from Maine and basil from Maui. I enjoy the ambiance, watching the sunset, observing Koi in the pond. read more

Staying at Marriott Ko Olina, we made a red at Longhi's in Ko Olina (on the property) and were immediately taken by the beautiful setting. The ambiance truly stands out--relaxing views of the koi pond, a gentle island breeze, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable evening. Service from Christine was excellent. She was attentive, warm, and kept everything moving smoothly, which we really appreciated. As for the food and drinks, it was more of a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, which unfortunately fell flat. It lacked flavor, and the pasta--which was an extra $6--tasted like it came straight from a box. On the brighter side, the seared ahi was well-prepared and much more satisfying. The Old Fashioned was another miss for us, coming out overly sweet with a very large chunk of orange that overpowered the drink. Despite the inconsistencies, the setting and service helped balance the visit. With a few improvements in the kitchen and cocktail prep, Longhi's could easily match the quality of its beautiful location. read more

Really disappointed this time around. Our server was great! They sat us at our expected reservation time of 10 am. Our server took our order pretty quick... But, it's the food that did everything for us. Not too sure if there is a different head chef from 4 years ago, but the food was not great this time around. We order a burger, 2 loco mocos, a breakfast plate and the kids foods. The kids food tastes better than everything else we ordered and that's bad. Our patties were dry, no taste and needed seasoning. Our gravy on the loco moco was tasteless. The burger as well, it was lacking seasoning and my husband only ate half. I don't know if we will be back after what we just ate. They need a new menu or need to revamp what they are serving with a new cook. This was not worth what we paid for. We could have just ate at the market down the street. This was an awful experience. I have never before written a bad review for a restaurant, but I just have to this time. I know it is in Hawaii where everything is expensive, but the high prices charged here definitely do not reflect quality when compared to most of the other restaurants we ate in over the past three weeks. Several issues: * The cocktail my daughter ordered came with a strawberry that was covered in mold * The salad she ordered came with all the greens brown and wilted - was sent back and replaced with a mid level version * My first order was a clam dish - the server came back to explain politely that they had run out of clams - not a problem. Things happen. She offered me a mussel dish instead - I agreed. She then returned to say they had run out of mussels! This was at 5:00 when the restaurant opened for dinner. She offered to get the manager. * The manager explained that they don't get a fresh delivery on Sundays. Which makes me wonder why this wasn't explained when we were ordering. There were other dishes that contained mussels, so I asked about them as well. She finally agreed to use some of those mussels in a different pasta dish. I agreed. * The mussels came with pasta in what was supposed to be a cream sauce - it was very watery, some of the mussels were undercooked, some overcooked, some not opened, the pasta was borderline - I left much of it in the bowl of watery sauce. At least the manager decided not to charge us for the salad and mussels. We come to the Ko Olina Marriott every year to visit with our family. We spend a lot in restaurants. Weather here in Oahu is perfect all year round so of course I want to eat outdoors while overlooking our beautiful West Side Ko Olina views. It's so rare that I can ever get a free Saturday morning so my bffs for weekly life group took a nice early Saturday Morning stroll through the lagoons and we enjoyed a nice dip in the water before we started getting hungry. Longhi's offers a perfectly relaxing yet upscale ambiance great for bonding with company. And everything I ordered was so darn yummy! A disappointing dining experience from start to finish. Booked in advance for Valentine's Day and didn't see it was a fixed menu. While it makes sense , all other restaurants I researched publicized their set menu well in advance. This one didn't and it would have been nice to know prior to booking, but I saw it the day of. Since we were staying at the resort, this was a convenient and easy option. Some surprises and why the disappointment: Options: - We had a 7pm reservation and they were already out of 2 of the 6 dinner offerings. No lamb chops and crab stuffed salmon. (We were pleased to hear they could substitute mahi mahi for the salmon. ) - with the fixed menu, there were 3 dessert options: strawberry shortcake, tiramisu and chocolate torte. But by 7pm they were out of tiramisu ...and the chocolate torte. Food: - the food was mediocre. The scallops were surprisingly tangy, and too sweet for my liking with the prepared sauce, and very very ... red. - the strawberry shortcake had limited strawberries and the dessert was bland and tasteless. I've never met a strawberry shortcake I didn't like, so this was a first. They said their desserts are made on site. The portions were generous. They offered a cheesecake to substitute for the lack of offerings. - the salad dressing was also tasteless and the bread was nothing short of meh- your typical store bought French loaf. Service: - we were told dining experiences were limited to 90 minutes, which makes sense. But we sat down and waited and waited and waited. Finally flagged someone down to ask for our server. - we didn't have stellar or even attentive service. Amongst all the options they didn't have, the drinks were slow to arrive and when we placed our second drink order, I think she forgot about them! They did eventually make their way to our table but not in a timely manner and definitely not within the 90 minutes guidelines. Ambiance: This is one of two hotel restaurants. It looks like it could be viewed as the nicer of the two, but don't be fooled. It's incredibly overpriced and the hotel chairs are ridiculously uncomfortable with no cushions. I guess I expected more. Maybe the regular menu is better but at well over $600 (for 4 people), I'd expect to be pleased with at lease one thing. I have zero desire to return. All of these disappointments do make for a memorable evening and a great laugh. read more

Came here a couple of times. Once for my birthday and once for mother's day. Both times were decent experiences, but the best of all is the koi pond that my kids love to look at and feed the fish. That is one of the main reasons why id come back here. The food is pretty good too, but the service is on the slower side. Especially on holiday type weekends. Like mothers day weekend, they should up their staff so they arent so slammed. I hate hearing the "oh we are so busy today" comment when business clearly know there will be increased business due to the holiday. Our service was pretty good except that we had to send back a steak as it was med rare when med well was ordered. They made it right and took it off the bill since it took so long. It took so long that my steak was cold by the time the other steak came back. I felt super bad for the party of 20 sitting near us. They were seated well before us, and got their food after us. I was with a patt of 4. But besides that, the food was great, and the environment us beautiful. You can see a super nice sunset at the right times. Just dont expect any AC. Came here for brunch with my friends. Ambiance was amazing. We sat right next to the koi pond. Overlooking the lagoon was nice as well. Sun started to come out some of us got a bit hot but what can we do right we don't control the sun. Food was decent! I got the triple burger. Calamari was kinda plain.... I had better. Portions were okay too. Service... was super slow. They weren't even busy. There was like 4 other tables outside including us. Took 25 min just for the server to get to us. 30 min after that to get our drinks. Bartender wasn't at the bar so not sure what that was about. We asked for chop sticks. Didn't get them so we had to ask again. We weren't checked on either for the most part. Overall. Ambiance is 10/10 , food 6/10, service 2/10 read more

Wow just WOW. Ignore all the 1 star reviews the food here is SO good. Every dish we ordered was amazing! Sure, it's pricey, but you're eating at a resort in Ko'olina on the water... it's to be expected. In my opinion, the quality and taste along with the uniqueness of the flavors made the price worth it. Note: my pictures aren't the best because we dug in so quickly I almost forgot to snap a few pictures since it was so yummy. My husband had the ribeye and he is extremely picky. He said it was better than the expensive steakhouses. The sauce on it was amazing. The mahi mahi fish of the day was soooo good. It came with a tropical pineapple sauce that really hit the spot. Our last nights stay at beautiful Marriott's Ko Olina in Oahu we decided to have dinner at Longhi's. Such a lovely restaurant with an outstanding view and great atmosphere with lots of menu options. Sitting underneath the beautiful moonlight of Hawaiian skies was a perfect experience with my husband. The beautiful Koi Fish pond surrounding the restaurant makes for a perfect spot. Our Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection! The meal was mouthwatering and the service provided by the restaurant staff was superb. What a fantastic spot! We came for dinner and were immediately impressed by the stunning view. It truly elevated the entire dining experience. The food was also quite good--everything was well-prepared and flavorful. ​The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The only minor downside was that they didn't mention the soufflé needs to be ordered ahead of time, which was a little disappointing as I was hoping to try it. I ended up getting the fruit dessert instead. It was delicious, but it's a huge portion, so definitely plan to share if you order it! Despite that small hiccup, this is an incredible restaurant with a beautiful setting and great service. I thought this place had a limited menu and prices were pretty high for the quality of food offered. I thought the steaks were nothing special. I'm waffling between a 3/4 stars for Longhis! We've been Maui Longhis fans for years so Longhi's is a familiar name! After looking through their menu we were in sticker shock! So we went simple - just the dinner entrees! The dinner entrees between the steak and lamb chops were delicious! A bit way over priced for what was ordered! Service was also a 3/4. Location was beautiful we overlooked the koi pond and the outside grass area! We gave this place another try for 2/14 brunch since we were staying at the resort! The burger was delicious as well as the crispy fries! They took the waffles off the menu bec of day and I settled for the pancakes!
