But the "Catch Feelings" Chicken Wrap at Kareem's? It genuinely needs a emotional warning label. I ordered it thinking I was just grabbing a quick bite on the go. Big mistake. Huge. Now I'm driving down Brookhurst having a full-blown existential crisis because a wrap has better structural integrity and emotional depth than most people I've dated. First off, whoever is back there assembling these wraps isn't just making food; they are practicing architectural geometry. Most spots toss your veggies in like they're launching confetti at a parade, leaving you with one bite of pure lettuce and another of pure existential dread. Not Kareem's. Every single bite is a masterclass in balance: vibrant, bright, colorful veggies that actually crunch, perfectly seasoned and juicy protein, and a sauce so ridiculously good I'm convinced it's strictly classified under international law. It's colorful, it's mouth-watering, and yes, I absolutely caught feelings. I am now in a committed relationship with a pita-wrapped masterpiece. And can we talk about the hummus? Smooth as a smooth-talking salesperson, richer than a crypto influencer, and paired with proteins that are cooked with actual respect. If you are anywhere near 1208 S Brookhurst St, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be prepared: you will leave addicted, you will crave it at 2 AM on a Tuesday, and you will never look at a standard wrap the same way again. 10/10, no notes, sending Kareem's my therapist bills.

It seems pretty empty most of the time, so the chairs and table could have debris on it. I got to try the chicken bowl, and we also ordered some wraps. I mainly had the chicken bowl, which I thought it was pretty good! I liked how it also includes a pita bread with it, although, I wish it was more fresh and warm lol. The ingredients in the bowl were quite fresh though. I also had a side of garlic and wow the garlic made is veryyyy flavorful, including the hummus. I thought it was pretty good! The pita chips were also very nice as they were definitely very crispy, although, not as good if you save it as leftover, but still not bad. We also had a few pieces of falafels on the side, which they were surprisingly pretty good! It was not as fried dense ball as I thought it would be, which it actually made me enjoy or appreciate falafels more. I would definitely try the falafel instead of the chicken next time in my bowl.

The food was excellent, but Bashir's hospitality really made the experience special. We had three rambunctious teenagers with us, and Bashir completely charmed them with his great attitude and humor. He even took the time to show them how the food was prepared, which they loved! We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the evening air. It was such a fun, relaxed, casual experience, and everyone left well fed and happy. Great food, great atmosphere, and Bashir was awesome. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered two pies- Sujook and the chicken & jalapeño, and both were made fresh to order. They were packed to the brim with so much meat and had such a delicious, wholesome, homemade feel to them. I especially loved all the cheese and flavorful sauce throughout the filling. Every bite was hearty, satisfying, and full of flavor. And knowing that everything is Halal makes it even better! We'll definitely be making our way back here again. Highly recommend The Feteer Guy if you're looking for something delicious, fresh, and seriously filling!

We also tried the Alexandrian Hawawshi (made with dough, not baladi bread) and the macaroni béchamel, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and high quality. My son is an extremely picky eater and rarely tries new foods, but he loved the pies and finished every bite, which says a lot! The restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is calm and comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the prices are very reasonable, and the location is easy to get to. It's located on Beach in Huntington Beach in what looks like an old bar, we came after beach day and we were the only ones here. We came on a weekday lunch and the bad thing is our order took quite awhile to make, we ordered just a little to try different things and add more later but it took so long this just ended up being a snack. The cashier seemed to be the only person working so he had to ring us up, bake, and clean. You can order Egyptian, American, or Mexican way. The protein and food is the same but its spiced differently. The sauces it came with were good, one was garlic based and the other was spicy. Soujouk Egyptian way sausage: Very cheesy and reminded me of stuffed crust or cheese bread. Fluffy and cheesy with sausage and bell peppers inside. Pastrami Pie Hawawshy: Our favorite, it had less cheese and wasn't so heavy with nice bits of red pastrami mixed in with bell peppers.

It was around 6:45 on a Saturday and there were only about 2-3 other groups. To order you have to scan the QR code at your table. Its convenient because everyone can just order and pay on their own tab. The food, hookah, and cards are all ordered through this. Everything came out lightening fast. I got the chicken plate with white meat and the cinnamon tea, less sweet. The plate had plenty of food and was pretty good but not anything special. The tea was absolutely delish and I would highly recommend it. Randomly the chips off of my friends plate were one of my favorite things. I dipped it in the hummus and it was a great flavor combo. They have plenty of hookah flavors and by 8:00 pm the place was packed and you could not see through the smoke lol. Service is a little spotty if you need help. There were some helpful servers and some that were lacking. The place has 2-3 too many tables, you have to walk through a maze to try to exit because it is so cramped. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Most of our group ended up just holding our pee in! Overall the place had good vibes but there are some holes in the service. Also, Parking gets extremely crowded at night.

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants.
