As Egyptians, We had a wonderful experience at Stuffed & Bitelab Grill! We tried the Mixed Meat Egyptian Way pie with pastrami, sausage, vegetables, and mixed meat, as well as the mixed cheese pie. Both were absolutely delicious! We also tried the Alexandrian Hawawshi (made with dough, not baladi bread) and the macaroni béchamel, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and high quality. My son is an extremely picky eater and rarely tries new foods, but he loved the pies and finished every bite, which says a lot! The restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is calm and comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the prices are very reasonable, and the location is easy to get to. My partner and I make a point to stop here whenever we're in the area. It's about an hour away for us, but it's absolutely worth the drive. We usually order the Egyptian-style stuffed pies because we love them and haven't found anything quite like them elsewhere. Our favorites are the ground beef (definitely get the garlic sauce on the side) and the pastrami. We've also brought family and friends, and they've enjoyed the sausage, BBQ chicken, and zaatar cheese. Tip: You can also mix two flavors for a half-and-half pie, which is a great way to try more than one. Since everything is made fresh to order, the wait is usually 20-45 minutes. They're best hot, so it's worth planning extra time. It would be helpful to get an estimated wait time when ordering, especially for first-time visitors. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and they're quick to restock the self-service station if needed. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the bathroom cleanliness. Live in HB, but my first time here. Specifically looking for Egyptian food as it was requested by my out of town guests. First off, I knew that the only thing offered here was the Egyptian pizza, so I did recommend other Mediterranean places to my friends. Unfortunately, they selected Stuffed. The hours here are ridic, but we were the only people in the restaurant yesterday at 12:30 p.m. Maybe it's busier at night. Not sure. The nice gentleman recommended the mixed pizza. We decided to try two small instead of one large so that we could try at least two varieties. Both tasted similar. One just had 2-3 types of meat. I don't recall anything other than chopped up meat and spices in either. The pizza itself is a bit greasy for my taste, but I'm always down to try something new. We just ordered water. It took the machine more than a few minutes and more than a few tries to get ice, as if it hadn't been used in awhile. Once we got our ice water, the taste was nasty. I just set my water aside. It took about 30 min to get our food and it was just lukewarm, not hot as most pizzas are. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be, but not impressed. Make sure to pay attention to the pricing. They only have pizzas, but the price list shows the EGYPTION, MEXICAN & AMERICAN "way". The Egyption is the most expensive "way".... which is approximately $16 MORE PER PIZZA than the AMERICAN. We were so excited to try Stuffed Egyptian Pie when we saw all the excellent reviews of this place. It was a plus that it was also right up the road from where we were staying in Fountain Valley. Unfortunately, our experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths, figuratively. The food was delicious! We had the Soujouk feteer, and when it finally arrived, we enjoyed the flavours. It's greasy and rich! Unfortunately, it took one hour to get to our table. We saw many others that arrived after we did, ate their food, and left the restaurant before we even got a taste. We did approach the staff a couple of times when we noticed, and they kept assuring us that our order was somewhere in the mix. We ended the meal with the sweet potato ice cream, which was also pretty good! If you want a sweet treat, then look no further! Even though we had some tasty eats here, the experience as a whole was soured by the excessive wait time on our food. The restaurant was not busy, and they did state they had no excuse. Parking lot was small, but we had no issues here. Food is pricey here, and it makes sense because of their specialty foods! Came right when it opened on a Saturday as I read the reviews about the possible slow service. We ordered as the 2nd group in line but didn't receive our food until 45+ minutes later. Then when they finally served our pizzas, they were whisked away a few minutes later as they realized it wasn't our order. Apparently they were working on a very large order at the same time, but we had kids with us who were hungry... This was not good service. The restaurant has plenty of seats. Casual, surrounded with various large screen TVs so of course our kids were glued to them. Can't stand restaurants that have TVs showing things that might not be appropriate for little kids. Or simply put, especially to laypeople like myself, it can kind of be described like an Egyptian pizza. Not sure if this spot or the building where it's located was previously a small pizza restaurant, but that is what the layout/inside feels like. When I came in, there were a few groups, but the place wasn't especially busy (came in on the later side of dinner time on a Sunday night). I was pretty much able to order right away. The folks here are friendly and the person helping me was very helpul. I ended up ordering a small 'Homemade Sausage' pie, which I was told was one of the more popular and traditional pies. I ordered it 'Egyptian' style. You can also order the pies the American or Mexican Way, which are just basically the same ingredients but have a different structure. I didn't pre-order, so there was a bit of a wait, which was expected and no big deal. The pie came with two sauces on the side and everything was neatly packaged in a takeout pizza box. Spices, flavors, textures were all on point. The sauces were so good for dipping or pouring a bit over each bite. The small easily lasted me at least 2 meals and easily could have been stretched to 3 or 4. Also, I know it's a whole different culture, but the feteer here reminding me of a similar savory meat pastry that my neighbors made. We ordered through doordash and delivery was fine. It was our first time trying Stuffed and it wasn't for us. We got the ground beef Egyptian pizza with garlic and bbq sauce. The pizza by itself was bland- reminiscent of a worse version of the philly cheese hot pocket. The dipping sauces didn't do much for the flavors either. Yesterday I drove all the way from Northridge (around 1 hour and 20 minutes drive) to give it another try after the last time that was a disaster. First, I went there around 9:30 PM and made the order and asked the guy there how long it will take? He told me 25 minutes I said ok and guess what it tool 50 minutes to get my order!!! Second, i ordered a large Basturma and when I drove back home found it was a Sujuk one!!! Third, I ordered a sugar and milk pie and figured out they just no milk or sugar was there just a cream thing that was so disgusting!! This place is easy to find right off the main road plenty of parking. I recommend calling in your pie since it does take a bit of time. Inside is nice with plenty of drink options. This Egyptian pizza spot is my new #1 fave restaurant in the OC and I'll be going out of my way to visit anytime I'm in the area! The food is very unique and absolutely delicious with some of the best dessert I've ever had. This restaurant offers "authentic Egyptian cuisine with an American twist" which is what got my attention. I'm not in OC often so I've had this place on my radar for over a year and finally made my way down to try it out. For our dinner we ordered a small half ground beef pizza half chicken ranch pizza. The portion was quite large - feeding the two of us for two meals! The ground beef pizza has several different types of cheeses and some green peppers - the texture of the beef was lovely and soft - I loved every bite. The chicken ranch is what it sounds like with a couple types of cheese and comes with ranch drizzle on top - also with excellent texture and flavor. The crust for both was very unique and comes on top and bottom so more like a true pie - but it's thin and flaky and absolutely divine. For dessert we went with the staff's recommendation of the boghasha and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I will be craving it forever now haha! It's a sweet Egyptian pastry that's lightly fried and flaky and smothered in a sweet custard and I believe he said a little kefir also - and topped with powdered sugar. It was light and creamy and not over-the-top sweet. It's divine and I highly recommend it. Prices are on par with the area and good given the novelty of the menu. The vibes inside are very cozy and welcoming. You can tell it's an old Pizza Hut type building but the way they've decorated is very warm, authentic to the cuisine genre, and charming. I worked at a Pizza Hut during college and although they did a great job of making it an Egyptian themed restaurant, I could tell it had been a P-Hut. There were a variety of choices with different flavor profles, including Egyptian, American and Mexican. We ordered the Zaatar Stuffed Pie along with a BBQ Chicken stuffed Pie which were served like pizzas. Although we bought the smaller size, we couldn't finish the two pies along with order of Boghasha for Dessert. The Zaatar Stuffed PIe was excellent. I would go back just for that. The BBQ Chicken pie was also good but I think I would probalby try another one of the other Egyptian pies. The Boghasha was good but it was soggy, in the picture it looked like it was crispy like a chip. First time trying Egyptian pizza and it's cool how this place serves pizza 3 ways (Egyptian, American, Mexican) I ordered via Uber Eats: the Soujouk Egyptian Way, so the price was a bit higher. It was a relatively quick service and pickup. I do admit I didn't expect the price to at least $35. Inside the place: there are at least 6-9 tables so there's plenty of seating to sit down and enjoy pizza with family in a cozy setting. I recommend enjoying the pizza there since it's fresh out of the oven versus ordering to-go like I did. I felt that by the time I had a chance to try it, it already cooled down and the cheese pull was somewhat nonexistent. Reheated though, the pizza was great and pairs well with side sauces. They made everything fresh so while we did wait about 20-ish minutes, it was worth the wait. No line on a Monday afternoon with plenty of seating and parking. Mixed meat small Egyptian pizza: crispy on the outside, loaded with meat and cheese on the inside. Very savory and flavorful. Didn't need the hot sauce and garlic parmesan they provided but the sauces were also good. Similar to a stuffed savory baklava. Soujouk Hawawshy: essentially a sausage thin crust calzone. We were 3 people ate from it; we were full and there was still more left over. It is very fulfilling, amazing portion, nice amount of cheese and meat in the pie. I did not even need sauce, that's how good the flavor of the meat was. The Bechamel Pasta was flavor but more cheese than cream. I was hoping for it to be a bit more creamy with more beshamal than cheese that's my personal preference but it still had good flavor. I loved LOVED the Schweppes lemon mint, ended up buying 2 more. Friendly staff and nice service. The place was cozy. One small suggestion would be a bit more attention to restroom upkeep, but overall a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend! With this not being a style of pizza most Americans would eat or are even aware of, one would assume she would be more kind in her approach and try to ask us if we had any questions. Nope. Pro tip: If you are bothered by being there then you should look at a new career field. The service was lack luster to the point that it overshadowed the amazing food, which seemed like she did not have a hand in making, since we know that to make a difference. I wonder if there are any other Egyptian style places around because I would definitely not go back if there were. I'm just going to start by saying that I was a bit surprised to see they use Paper Plates. So much so that I'm still a bit surprised Hours later. Cutlery is the white cheap Plastic. Trying to eat Thick cheesy Pasta with those Forks was not the business. Now, that Egyptian style Pizza was exceptional. So good that we couldn't decide which was better, the mix meat or the cheese. I mean really good! The Past was good as well but as I said it was difficult to serve with plastic Forks. I joked and said when we go back we'll bring our own Metal Forks.
