Came right when it opened on a Saturday as I read the reviews about the possible slow service. We ordered as the 2nd group in line but didn't receive our food until 45+ minutes later. Then when they finally served our pizzas, they were whisked away a few minutes later as they realized it wasn't our order. Apparently they were working on a very large order at the same time, but we had kids with us who were hungry... This was not good service. The restaurant has plenty of seats. Casual, surrounded with various large screen TVs so of course our kids were glued to them. Can't stand restaurants that have TVs showing things that might not be appropriate for little kids. The Egyptian stuffed pizzas were actually pretty good, but very cheesy and oily so we ended up using utensils for the middle pieces. Ordered 1 BBQ Chicken and 1 Sausage which were both yummy. Each pizza can easily feed 3 adults. I would come back for the food, but don't want to due to the slow service...

Tasty Egyptian style pizza. Would definitely come back to try different flavors. We were able to get 3 sauces with our large size. Staff was helpful in explaining the menu for our first time!

Food was very good but for the price the portion is really small. The workers are very nice, but the service is slow seems they are maybe understaffed.

I've always seen this place and finally decided to give it a try. The decor is kind of confusing, not sure what theme they're going for. I ordered the original one-slice and it was super oily and heavy. We split it between four people and that was more than enough. The cream didn't have much flavor either. That said, I'm sure other menu items are worth trying. This just wasn't the best first impression.

This place specializes in feteer, a traditional Egyptian pastry that could be prepared to be savory or sweet. Or simply put, especially to laypeople like myself, it can kind of be described like an Egyptian pizza. Not sure if this spot or the building where it's located was previously a small pizza restaurant, but that is what the layout/inside feels like. When I came in, there were a few groups, but the place wasn't especially busy (came in on the later side of dinner time on a Sunday night). I was pretty much able to order right away. The folks here are friendly and the person helping me was very helpul. I ended up ordering a small 'Homemade Sausage' pie, which I was told was one of the more popular and traditional pies. I ordered it 'Egyptian' style. You can also order the pies the American or Mexican Way, which are just basically the same ingredients but have a different structure. I didn't pre-order, so there was a bit of a wait, which was expected and no big deal. The pie came with two sauces on the side and everything was neatly packaged in a takeout pizza box. Spices, flavors, textures were all on point. The sauces were so good for dipping or pouring a bit over each bite. The small easily lasted me at least 2 meals and easily could have been stretched to 3 or 4. Also, I know it's a whole different culture, but the feteer here reminding me of a similar savory meat pastry that my neighbors made. This was such a long time ago (I was a little kid) and they were Afghan. It gave me a little bit of nostalgia because I don't have this type of food very often.

Lil meshaltet. Drizzled with honey, this was a nice sweet and savory treat.

*Order online to save time, or prepare for a long wait for your food to come out. It's worth it though!* Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, there were a few others seated in booths. The person at the Front Counter asked if it was our first time and gave basic descriptions of our choices and recommendations. The dough here is flaky like a pastry more so than doughy/chewy like a conventional pizza crust and has three sizes/presentations: Egyptian (toppings sandwiches between layers like fatayer), American (toppings sort of calzoned), or Mexican (toppings rolled up in the middle like a burrito. We decided to order the mixed meat Egyptian, which featured their housemade sausage (soujuk) and pastrami (basterma), as well as cheeses, tomatoes, and peppers. We also got a slice of meshaltet. The small mixed meat Egyptian pie was perfect for two people and absolutely delicious. We also had waited 40 minutes for it but it was totally worth it. The texture, flavors, and slight sogginess from all the fillings hit the spot and fulfilled a craving we didn't even realize we had. Believe the hype and give the place a try. Just recognize that if you're coming in with the intention of eating a slice of pizza, you're probably not getting what you expect but can still enjoy the ride!

We got the family meal and the food was very delicious and fresh. The Baladi Hawawshi was phenomenal 10/10.

Overall the food was amazing, the Baladi Hawashi was amazing and the family meal of grilled meats was amazing. The meats were all fresh and well seasoned. Highly recommend!

Stuffed The Egyptian Pie -- Huntington Beach, CA I visited Stuffed The Egyptian Pie with my daughter and had a truly memorable experience. I ordered the mixed meat pie in the Egyptian style, and just look at it -- the crust is thin, flaky, and perfectly golden-brown with beautifully crisp layers wrapped around a savory meat filling. It tasted just as amazing as it looks! The concept is refreshingly unique -- authentic handmade Egyptian feteer pies you simply won't find anywhere else in the area. The flavors were rich, satisfying, and clearly crafted with skill and tradition. The one downside? We waited over 30 minutes despite the restaurant not being very busy, which felt a bit long. Service speed could definitely use some improvement. That said, if you're looking for something outside your usual dining routine, Stuffed is absolutely worth the visit. Bring the family and try something genuinely special!

This place is easy to find right off the main road plenty of parking. I recommend calling in your pie since it does take a bit of time. Inside is nice with plenty of drink options. The server was really helpful and walked my husband and I through the menu. We got a half and half pie it was really light but hearty the flavors and 3 dipping sauces provided were really good. Would love to have it again if I'm in the area.

The kind-of chow that'll make your mouth meow, "Ohhh yeeeaahhhh..." I've only ordered delivery here twice, but have been equally delighted both times. I highly recommend the Vegan Mixed Meat Mexican Way and Vegan Beyond Beef. Comforting hangover-cure status mouthgasms in every bite. Stuffed gives me hope for the O.C. food scene; extra love for their late hours, since too many places close too soon around here.

Absolutely loved this place. Pies are packed with generous portions of meat and the cheese they used was delicious. I got mine to go and it was even better after airfrying for that extra crisp. Cashier was super friendly too and I will definitely come back

Half ground beef and half chicken ranch pizza - absolutely delicious!!

This Egyptian pizza spot is my new #1 fave restaurant in the OC and I'll be going out of my way to visit anytime I'm in the area! The food is very unique and absolutely delicious with some of the best dessert I've ever had. This restaurant offers "authentic Egyptian cuisine with an American twist" which is what got my attention. I'm not in OC often so I've had this place on my radar for over a year and finally made my way down to try it out. For our dinner we ordered a small half ground beef pizza half chicken ranch pizza. The portion was quite large - feeding the two of us for two meals! The ground beef pizza has several different types of cheeses and some green peppers - the texture of the beef was lovely and soft - I loved every bite. The chicken ranch is what it sounds like with a couple types of cheese and comes with ranch drizzle on top - also with excellent texture and flavor. The crust for both was very unique and comes on top and bottom so more like a true pie - but it's thin and flaky and absolutely divine. For dessert we went with the staff's recommendation of the boghasha and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I will be craving it forever now haha! It's a sweet Egyptian pastry that's lightly fried and flaky and smothered in a sweet custard and I believe he said a little kefir also - and topped with powdered sugar. It was light and creamy and not over-the-top sweet. It's divine and I highly recommend it. Prices are on par with the area and good given the novelty of the menu. The vibes inside are very cozy and welcoming. You can tell it's an old Pizza Hut type building but the way they've decorated is very warm, authentic to the cuisine genre, and charming. It's easy to find in a busy part of OC with plenty of parking. A great family establishment with wonderful food and vibes - we'll definitely be back!

Cairo Restaurant & Cafe - Anaheim Rating: (5/5)…read more I ordered from Cairo Restaurant & Cafe through Uber Eats, and this ended up being one of the most meaningful food experiences I've had in a long time. For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. It's a 5-star review because the food was genuinely outstanding -- rich, decadent, comforting, and made the right way. It is very hard for me to say that something compares to my mother's cooking, but this truly came close. I cannot wait to come in person in the next few weeks. Cairo Restaurant & Cafe didn't just serve food -- they delivered a memory.

Both dishes were good but not amazing. Another customer came in and I overheard him say, "this seems more like a hookah spot than a food spot." I'd have to agree with him

Since our go‑to place closed during COVID, it's been a long trial‑and‑error search for a replacement that matches on price, quality, service, and hospitality. Papa K checks every box. What stands out most is the freshness of the food. Because it's a small restaurant that prioritizes quality, service can be slow at certain times, but the food is absolutely worth the patience. Their Egyptian‑style flatbread and wide seafood selection first caught my attention, and I've been hooked ever since. I almost always order the seafood soup, pita with dip, and one of the family‑style meals. I've tried nearly all of them and have never been disappointed. The meats are consistently tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Their fried and grilled fish are excellent as well; just keep in mind they take longer, so ordering ahead is smart. Bottom line: If you haven't tried this place yet, you should. My DoorDash history can back me up. And a special shout‑out to Yousef, who served us today. His attentive, welcoming service is exactly the kind that keeps customers coming back. Great food matters, but great staff like Yousef make the experience complete.
