I went to pick it up on Saturday morning as scheduled. When I looked at the suit, I noticed the jacket had a crease pressed into the lapel, and as you will see in the pictures, there were other areas that look like they had just been missed in the pressing. I spoke with Julie who with her husband Andy are the owners. My family was scheduled to go out of town on Monday. Julie recognized that the jacket needed to be repressed and said that her husband Andy must not have inspected it when it was pressed. Julie said that they could get it re-pressed and either delivered to me by noon on Monday or I could pick it up from the store Monday morning by noon. She said that they would make it right. I felt that Julie was trying to do the right thing and mistakes happen. about an hour later, I got a call from Andy, her husband, who said that there was nothing wrong with the jacket, that he had pressed it himself, and that Julie, and two other customers said there was nothing wrong with the jacket. (Why other customers would be sharing their opinions is not clear to me. I think the pictures speak for themselves.). Andy also said that he couldn't get it re-pressed by Monday morning. He told me I either needed to pick up the jacket by noon on Saturday or that they would be open at eight on Monday and I could pick it up then. He said they would refund my money, but that they would not fix the problem. I told him I was not happy but he wasn't giving me any choice. I drove back on Saturday to get the jacket which ruined my planned Saturday morning breakfast with my son and family. On the way, I called Julie, told her I was coming back for the jacket,she said she had refunded the payment. I expressed to her that what really hurt was that her husband who had never seen the jacket said there was no problem when both she and I had seen the jacket and she had acknowledged there was a problem. When I got back to the store I told Julie that my breakfast with my son had been ruined. Her whole attitude had changed. She said she didn't want to hear it, what I had said was inappropriate and to get out of the store.

After buying the suit at Jos Bank they suggested taking it up to Wayne because they didn't have a tailor at the moment. Wayne also later repaired the lining in my husband's Navy Pea Coat which had belonged to his father and was really special to us. We had others look at this coat and not want to do the job. So we have been so excited with how Wayne was able to use the original material and fix the lining leaving it as much like the original coat as possible. Wayne's place is a hole in the wall and he has irregular hours, but he was great to us and we will continue to give him business. And what an amazing life story this guy has.

I was sort of properly dressed, but I forgot my gloves and I forgot my boots. I was gonna pop in to see if I can buy some gloves, but I noticed they also had boots. I know winter boots can be expensive. That's a given, but the gloves.. HOLY SMOKES!!! some of the gloves were $70 just for swishy sounding mittens and gloves. I ended up getting a pair. I think they were like 40 bucks but they were on sale. It was hard to find my size because UNFORTUNATELY my dad gave me his big old prizefighting mitts, but I found a pair of mittens just like I wanted. But I understand the high price it's all about demand. This place is conveniently located for people like myself who can't stay organized and remember the things that they need to take on trips. I didn't end up skiing, but I did go tubing. The next trip up I'll make sure I'm prepared but I'm glad that place was there when I needed some gloves.

We no longer had to go to NYC to get top-of-the-line clothing for my beloved bride to wear. We have never understood why the owner. 'Sheila,' didn't sell it. She could have made a bunch of money (helping small-business owners prepare their companies for sale is part of the small portfolio of a highly specialized services we offer to small-business owners, and I have zero doubt that she could have made at least six figures, and maybe seven, had she explored a sale). My wife still talks about the store every time we drive by it.
