Karma Vieira does a great job on eyebrows!! I had thin sparse very light bows. Always had trouble plucking and shaping correctly. Karma took care if that and I don't have to do anything anymore. Her place is clean and she is so nice and friendly. Let me see the shape before she us s the permanent makeup and I was able to say what I liked or didn't like. Clean place, no pain since she uses numbing products first. Very enjoyable experience. The only downside to it is that she is so popular that it took a long time to get an appointment. I was recommended this place many years ago through a friend. It is the best place for permanent makeup. Karma is an amazing woman who truly knows her stuff. She does the hand method and uses organic products. The difference between the hand method and microblading I learned from her is that the hand method looks more natural. LOVE KARMA!!!!!!!!! So glad I found her. I came for scar re-pigmentation on my forehead. I had a surgery and the scar faded to white - I was told I needed hair transplants and micro pigmentation from this place that wanted 3,000$ and I knew that couldn't be my only option. I found Karma by chance and decided to give it a shot. First its like a fraction of the cost which is amazing. Needless to say I went twice and there was 75% improvement in my scar, people can't even tell its there. She color matches and then can create fine hairs. I'm an entertainment hairstylist and my personal appearance is very important to me. I had the fashionable trendy micro-blading done to my auburn colored eyebrows with horrible results. The micro-blading technique can not correct any mistakes or seem to get the correct color resulting in a dark brown spotted heavy lines with purple undertones Groucho Marx style eyebrows. They looked disgusting and I hated it. Thank you Karma for the 3 tattoo removals you preformed and gave such a beautiful corrected auburn eyebrows. I rarely yelp but Karma Vieira at Make-Up Alternatives is a "true" artist!! She tattooed my eyebrows, lips and eyeliner. She has an incredible artistic eye for perfection and will make you look beautiful and natural. Don't even consider micro-blading your brows as it doesn't last, and is an expensive fad. Karma uses pigments that last must longer, do not have iron oxides, and look extremely natural. Bonus, they will eventually fade naturally and not convert to a strange color. She is a perfectionist, extremely talented and very honest. I am moving overseas and will return to Karma for touch-ups. Now I know why she books up one year in advance. Karma Viera is a TRUE professional. She chose the perfect color and shape brow for my face. It looks SO natural. I do not wear make up on a daily basis--once a month, maybe. I researched and researched for the perfect person to apply permanent brows to my face (so I could look 20 years younger). Over the years of getting my brows plucked, waxed and threaded, my brows were nonexistent. When someone took off too much hair, it would never grow back in, thus, my search for my savior, Karma Viera. Other places that performed permanent makeup on brows were so obvious--you could see the hash marks that were suppose to be hair replication marks. Karma Viera's work is very artistic and precise while maintaining a natural look. My brows are, NOW, the perfect frame to my face. I only have to put on mascara and gloss each day. Who knew that brows make such a significant difference in one's appearance?!?!?! It has been over a year since my original session, and even my husband doesn't realize that I got my brows tattooed. Everyone compliments my brows, but no one knows that they have been tattooed; they think I just got them plucked, waxed or threaded... Karma Viera's method is phenomenal, too. It was painless; it felt like tweezing--not painful like threading. Although I did go in for a touch up a year later, I really didn't need it. My brows still looked perfect. I would travel across the country, if necessary, to have Karma Viera apply my permanent makeup and touch-ups. I have complete trust in her ability to get it just right every time. I have been a client of Karma's for about 8 +years. As I grew older I had increasing difficulty applying eye make up due to vision problems. Moreover, my eyebrows had grown noticeably thinner over the years. Karma resolved these issues beautifully. My eyeliner is perfect for the shape and color of my eyes. As well, my brows look completely natural. I returned today for a touch up of the liner, after several years. She did her usual great job. I also want to add that Karma is an absolute delight to spend time with. She has a lovely demeanor, fun personality, great laugh and is always professional. I can not imagine that there are any other artists as capable as Karma. Interesting to me is that she at one time painted doll faces. This speaks to her remarkable hand/eye coordination. My 1 star review is solely based on poor communication with Vera. I had to make another appointment due to the simple fact that I needed her to fix one of my brows she had just touched up several weeks prior. Nothing was mentioned she would charge me another $175.00, plus the fact she said I should of had 2 appointments for my touchup since it had been 6 years since I've seen her. She had me make an appointment for next years touchup. She tells me one thing, and says something completely different when I see her. Granted, she does excellent work, but the communication is horrible. I do appreciate her assistant letting me know she was running 10 min late, although it was really 30 min late. I appreciate her fixing my brows, but she seriously needs to work on communication. This may have been the last time I go back, unless when this last touchup doesn't look how I want after it heals. I never had this problem before. Maybe it's my age....don't know. I am very unhappy with the bad communication. Just noticed that my left brow is crooked . I am changing my review. Don't think I will be back. She messed up my left side, said that she has to charge me again for the touch up because I haven't been there in 6 years. Yeah life happens!! But she should have informed me. Nothing was said. Kind of like "bait and switch". I guess I will just have to deal with this. She has gotten either careless, or sloppy. read more
