Lisa is a really kind and funny person. She's honest about her work and results, which I guess is why some reviewers misinterpreted her as rude(?), but I appreciate when my beauticians are honest and tell me like it is. I got eyelashes done by her and she clearly has talent on how to make them look good. I got a hybrid between mink and volume so they look natural but still dramatic in a good way. My eyelids are uneven so she tried to do each eye a little differently so that the final result would make my eyelids look even. Other lash technicians aren't as good at that! She also has great prices and takes venmo. I look forward to getting my hair done by her. The last photo is 2.5 weeks post eyelash appointment. Lisa is the absolute best - very funny, sweet, and caring! I never leave reviews but was referred to her by a friend and have been going to Lisa for haircuts, hair color, and eyelashes for a few years now. She always tries her best to accommodate my schedule, feeds me when I'm at her salon, has the best prices, is very meticulous and good at what she does, and is very up front about results and what can be achieved. Found Lisa through Groupon and I'm already a returning costumer! The first time I met with her, I got a trim and an all over dye. Lisa was quick and knows what she's doing. The second time I decided to do something more fun and asked her to dye my hair grey! Lisa is passionate about what she does. However, she will be straight up with you. She's an expert on hair and would let you know if certain style/ color is unsuitable for your hair type. She uses great products for your hair while keeping the cost low. One of the best things I love about her!!!! Lisa makes me look pretty on my starving nursing student budget! Lisa will work with you if you work with her. This review is a few years overdue. I'm extremely surprised to see positive reviews and that she is still in business. I first found Lisa by way of a Groupon for hair straightening. The booking process was already a red flag, she was a bit hard to get hold of on the phone and once I finally did she was very stern and kind of scolded me about making sure to "stick to the schedule" because I wanted to book a couple weeks out. Granted that she didn't know that I am a very reliable and punctual person, as I was a new client at the time, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and excused her rudeness on the phone. I thought to myself, maybe she's been flaked out on by many other clients. Fair enough. I arrived about 10-15 minutes early for my appt as I usually do with all my personal appts. I was shocked to find her running late, she was still working on another lady's eyelash extensions that morning. I found it incredibly hypocritical that she was so quick and willing to scold and second guess a new client (me) about being prompt, when she was the one that clearly couldn't stick to a schedule. Being that it was a good deal price wise, and the fact that I already purchased a voucher, I stuck out the rest of the appointment. But like others have said, her poor attitude started to come out (while she was working on my hair). She made comments about how frustrated she was to work on my hair, and that she wasn't sure how it would turn out. I've had my hair professionally straightened multiple times in my life, in Los Angeles as well as overseas in Asian countries and they've never had an issue with my hair. This made me question her experience and skill level. After a month and a half after her service, my hair lost its straightness and started getting wavy again. I'm not talking about the new growth area, specifically the old growth that she worked on. I've never experienced this from other more high end Asian salons. Needless to say I never returned after all these years due to 1) unprofessional work attitude and 2) poor quality of work. read more

I had my lashes done today by Lisa for the first time i have to say omg she is the BEST ever.I have had lashes before around South Bay but not 100 percent satisfied untill today I'm over the moon with happiness . Definitely my new hair place in LA! I've never dyed my hair before and wanted a new change. I contacted Lisa and met with her for a consultation. She worked with my budget and offered many suggestions that would work with my hair. She is not afraid to disagree with you if she doesn't think it's a good idea but she will also follow your preference instead of doing her own thing (I've heard many horror stories of such situations in other salons). It's very easy to feel comfortable with her & trust her. I got balayage coloring and she even called me back because she wasn't satisfied with the way two small sections of hair came out (free of charge!) It was all disappointing and wasted my time..if I could give 0 stars, I really would. I got hair color and at first she changed the price because she had to bleach my hair. So I understood that. But after my hair was done, I got so surprised that it was NOT what I told her AT ALL. it was completely far end from the pics that I showed her. Color was wrong, quality was worse, and she said she was gonna fix it! ( she admitted that it wasnt good. Lol ) So ok..ugh messed up already.. Rescheduled and when I came back, the shop wasnt even open and she was late. so I called her and she said she didnt put my appointments on the book or whatever and forgot...some excuses!!! And she started saying I have to pay again!!! I exploded and got so mad!! I told her what she has done and it was supposed to be done last time!!! And when I got mad, she finally said SORRY and came to the shop. I have a kid and had limited time the day. she messed up not only my hair but also my time. Ughhhhhh And this is surprising, after that I talked to my friends and found out that 2 of my friends also went there and had the worst service!! The biggest challenge was to find someone who would do a good job at a fair price. I believe Lisa meets both! I enjoyed her service and her price is very fair.
