I had a really great experience getting vivid (purples!) color with Stephanie. I had called a few weeks before and gotten a consultation with her and instantly felt like she was a very knowledgeable stylist. I'm glad to say not only is she knowledgeable but she's passionate about her work. She's a perfectionist (yay!) but can work quickly which is a blessing. With vivids not only is color important but placement as well. Stephanie knew how to give me what I was looking for even if I was clueless. I've gotten compliments on my hair since I've gotten it done and will definitely be back in her chair when I need to get roots/color/cut/whatever done again. I went on a Friday and the salon was much busier than I expected it to be (Easton is a sleepy town) but the vibe was great. Everyone was relaxed. Lots of smiling faces on clients and staff. I have fine and thin hair that I have always been self conscious of. I've had hair dressers at other salons comment and even tease me about my hair since I was a teenager and I always dreaded getting my hair done. Makeovers is the only salon I've felt comfortable going to and Rachel always does an amazing job with my foil and haircut. I leave the salon in love with my hair and feeling confident, not embarrassed like other salons have made me feel. I wish I started coming here sooner and didn't have to suffer all those years! I really wanted to like this salon since it is close to my house and "upscale" but not too $$ Went here for the second time yesterday. I was giving it a second chance since my first experience wasn't the best. My appt was for highlights/ foils and a cut. The stylist left me with the highlight solution on my head for an hour without checking on me..while she was with another client. When I asked the assistant to check in with the stylist about me, the stylist came over, gave me attitude and said " oh don't worry your hair won't fall out and " I left you here this long for a reason" My hair came out ok but I don't need to be ignored and treated like a second class citizen when I'm paying $ 175+ for a service Um no I don't want to schedule a next appointment read more

I had an appointment for a wash, cut and color. Good cut and color but when I arrived home I had hair dye on my neck, sides of my face and forehead and around my ears and inside. I called to ask the receptionist, how can you send someone home like that? This is what really upset me, "what are you looking for?" was her response. The response should have been sorry that happened. The receptionist then asked me to hold and I did for a bit, I then hung up because I was trying to get the dye off. She then called me back and left a snarky message. I have been going there a long time and won't be returning! read more

Makeokers is very elegant and classy, but I've had two mediocre hair cuts there. I called after agonizing for a few weeks as to "Should I give them another chance, or should I go somewhere else". I was told I would have to pay full price for my cut since it had been three weeks. So in essence, I would have to pay 95.00 dollars for a hair cut in less than a month, not to mention tips, which would bring it to 115.00 dollars. They did say they would throw in a free conditioning treatment, but I decided no. I asked for a very simple hair cut with layers just in the front, my layers were uneven, not at all symmetrical, and more like steps than layers. Furthermore, the hairdresser put the diffuser right on my hair, which made it smell burned. She was quite nice and personable, but I didn't care for the cut nor the way my hair smelled afterwards. read more

I went here for the first time a few years ago and they assigned me to a very nice woman, Tiffany. I came here after my hair has been foiled, dyed darker, full head bleached, and box dyed. I did not have virgin hair at all. She gave me foils and a toner and BAM! It ended up looking absolutely amazing!! I was so so happy with the results and I had great expectations of this place after that. Flash forward to yesterday, I came in for a full foil and toner hoping they would save me from previously paying two times for a full foil and toner at a different salon. I just want to be light again! So I come in for my appointment with a very nice woman, she takes her time doing the foils as well, but then she put me under a hair dryer to heat up the foils. This hair dryer is about 2-3 feet away from my hair, there was to fans aimed at me (so obviously it's also going to cool and slow down the process) and she kept me under there for about a half hour - 45 min. She kept checking on them and I could tell they needed more heat/ time, but she rushed me out and told her helpers to take them out. - Now, if I'm paying for my hair to get done.... I want my hair to BE DONE! Regardless of time - They took out all the foils and she told her helper to mix together the toner. Lathered the toner in and had it stay in for maybe 2 minutes. My hair is BLACK, as black as it gets, and through all of my experience I know it takes way longer than 2 minutes to sit in.. But my hair stylist comes back to check and just rinses it out after that. Not to mention she sprayed me with the, I guess "broken hose" and water fell all over my face. I'm a forgiving person, but when she brought me to a different sink, she didn't put a towel under my head so the water fell all onto my back, and from there on I kind of just felt more than annoyed, possibly because I could see myself in the mirror in front of me and didn't see any lightening done. She sat me back down at her mirror and I was devastated to see my hair looked how it did after my prior two foil and tones a few months back. A dark brown, of course, what else is new. The only think that looked slightly different from when I walked in was my roots were streaked with a lighter brown than my black. I never had an AWFUL experience here, but I paid $200 and then a tip for a hair color I did NOT want and pleaded her not to do. Showed her my past photos with blonde hair and she said it would be that light again. If I wanted to pay that much I'd have a private personal hair stylist come to my home for that, to come out the way it did. If I want my hair lighter, it should have been lighter. I'm so upset how the outcome is, I'm never taking my time to drive an hour away, expecting what I got from my first time, spending that sort of money. I have spent $130 and have had the same results. This rating is in regards to a brow wax only on the spa side of the business. I was very disappointed and felt rushed when I went in! For the price I would have expected some tlc and even brows. She did a sloppy job and now I'm going to have them fixed somewhere else. The lady who did my brows had a prior positive review before they moved at the other location so I thought I would try her. My complaints are mostly about the stylist I went to. I started out happy because my hair looked great initially * shiny, nice color, gave me what I wanted. Over time however, I was dismayed at how dry and lackluster my hair started looking. It was so dry. I asked the stylist if there was some product or something that I could do to make it look the way it did when I first started going there. She said (she really said this) "I don't know." That's not the half of it. Not more than once I had to alert either her or someone else that the dryer was way too hot (scalding my scalp). Then, there's the way she used to bad mouth EVERYONE from her mother to her coworkers to her customers. It made me wonder if she was trashing me too. She even said something that bordered on anti-Semitism. That was the day I had had ENOUGH! Makeovers is a lovely salon and I think if someone else took care of my hair the experience probably would have been much better. read more

Was part of a wedding that booked services at Makeovers. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating! They met us at 6:30 in the morning (!!) with smiles on their faces. There were close to a dozen women getting ready for a ten am wedding. I will admit, I thought to myself there is no way we will be on time. Boy was I wrong! We were ready early! Found ourselves waiting for the limo! The salon is enormous & there were so many people on staff!! I was shocked! The manager & front staff helped us set up a breakfast bar & helped carry our bags and what not in. At dress time, staff was helping to zip us up, help with the final touches, and even helped with a rip in a dress!! And their "real" job of hair and make up was AMAZING!! The staff went above and beyond. Weddings can be a stressful time, but Makeovers made this morning a breeze!! I highly recommend them for not only your specialty occasions - but every day ones as well! read more

I was very dissatisfied with the service I received here at Makeovers Salon in Easton. I was charged $160.00 for a highlight only. The color did not come out at all like the picture I brought in for the colorist to try to match. When I expressed that I was dissatisfied, I was told that I would have to come back into the salon and the colorist would try to correct the issue. The colorist was rude. She was not happy that I came back. They left the color on my hair for so long that my hair turned a white/gray color. They only made the problem worse. I had to go to another salon to have my hair fixed and colored back to blonde. read more
