DO NOT HIRE HER! SHE STOLE $150 FROM ME AFTER FLAKING ON MY MATERNITY PHOTOS! SUPER FLAKY AND UNPROFESSIONAL! DO NOT GIVE HER A BIG DEPOSIT! IF YOU WANT TO RISK IT STILL AFTER READING THE BAD REVIEWS DO SOMETHING WITH FRAUD PROTECTION. BECAUSE SHE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! She was responsive until I booked my appointment and sent a $150 deposit for makeup for spring family photos. Then after kept randomly texting me asking if I could change the time a few days later. Which I thought was weird and made Me nervous. It ended up raining on the day of my family photos and I gave her a weeks notice that the date may need to change because they are outside. I gave her many optional dates from my photographer. None of them worked for her. Always an excuse. She had my money mind you. I didn't see these other bad yelp reviews about her either! So I said ok how about you do my maternity photo makeup in July. (It's March at this point!). That's plenty of time. Told her they were on a Tuesday. She said she had some on call thing for a clothing company on Tuesdays, can I move my shoot to Thursday. So I did. Got the fake "all booked babe!". Textbook love bombing covert narcissist btw. Flash forward to this past Friday. I text her to see if she's ready for next week and I get "oh shoot the clothing company moved shoots to Thursday's! Can you move your photos to Tuesday?" Thank god I reached out! She never told me anything. I only found out because I asked! I said NO. My husband adjusted his work schedule to accommodate this day, and I cannot tell the photographer to move my photos to four days away?!?! Who does that?! To someone who is 7 months pregnant?! She is a typical social Climbing narcissist in LA who has no integrity, and will drop you like a fly for anything that is more money. She does not care that you are pregnant or let's say getting married. Wherever the money is that comes first, not her pre booked commitments with deposits!! To all my pregnant mama's, please do not get stressed out like I did. Do not use her. She did this to another pregnant mom below! She is a flake. She will cancel your appointment with out notice if something bigger presents itself to her. Is that a risk you want to take for your special day? **UPDATE** After I posted this review a few hours later she text me "I sent it" and finally zelled me back my $150. After texting her for 4 days to please give it back. What a nightmare. I just can't get over how someone could do this to someone! let alone to a pregnant woman! I messaged her the week before confirming that she will be there at 5 PM and she confirmed multiple times. The day of, she messaged me at 4:30 PM saying she's going to be a half an hour late. Then at 5 pm she said she was going to be one hour late. Then one hour and 15 minutes late into the appointment she DOES NOT SHOW UP. Very unprofessional. I requested my hair and make up appointment a month in advance, her response time was terrible and I had to keep messaging her to make sure she had me booked for the day. It came to my appointment and she cancelled on me an hour before my maternity photoshoot because she was out of town the day before and she was in heavy traffic. I can't say enough good things about Brittney Nicole. I found Brittney Nicole through The Knott when I learned that my original make up artist had to cancel due to COVID county restrictions. Brittney responded very quickly to my inquiry and we were able to setup a trial. When we met at the time the trial she listened very well to the look I was going for and was able to make it happen! She also offers airbrush, so we set up a separate trial, due to my preference. I really appreciated her professionalism and honest advice as a beauty expert/make up artist. She gave me a few beauty tips to try before the big day that worked well. On the day of the wedding she arrived on time, was setup and ready to go. She was able to provide a sense of calm while the hustle and bustle of the wedding day ensued. I received so many compliments regarding my hair and make-up from wedding guests and friends. I honestly don't like to write bad reviews, especially when someone has their own business. However, I scheduled a makeup appointment with Brittney at my house at 7:45 AM. At 7:01 AM I receive a text that she's running late, but she assured me that she would take me after the next client which would be around 10 AM. I had a hair appointment scheduled at 11 AM so I asked her to please let me know of her status by 10 AM. She said okay. At 10 AM, I texted and called her multiple times and she did not answer. Finally, at 11:30 AM she texts me "I tried to make it work. hope to glam soon babe." NO apology or accountability. I had an event to attend to and she had NO courtesy to inform me that she's not coming. She is extremely unreliable, so if you have an important event, I do NOT recommend her AT ALL. If you can't handle that many clients, then don't promise an appointment. Extremely unprofessional. read more

I found Brittney on Instagram, as she did bridal makeup for many of my friends weddings. My wedding was on New Year's Eve and she was unbelievable! I also hired her for a trial and to do my makeup for my engagement and every time, she was prompt always on time, had so many different shades of makeup and cosmetics, and listened to every single request about how I liked my makeup. Her products are top notch and she is extremely professional and seriously the sweetest! Brittney was also very responsive when I was contacting her regarding makeup schedule on the day of, and also helped me with tips to keep me skin perfect leading up to the day of.
