She was running ten minutes late so I totally get how that can be a hassle since I've been in the hospitality industry. Tbh, I would be pissed at that point in my workday. But then she goes... "if you don't [get in a certain position] it's only gonna hurt more." I said something like, "I'll try my best..." (knowing that I'm way too uncomfortable at this point and anything from here on out is just gonna be reflex-reactions)... Finally after my asking for a few moments of pause so I could relax more, and she said something, I said, "I wasn't gonna say anything but you're making me really ill-at-ease." When I stopped it just before the last strip application she goes, "I don't think waxing is for you, love." I'm forty and look 15 but I used to get a Brazilian wax monthly throughout all my 20s. I haven't had problems treatment because I had MELANOMA AND BCC. ON MY TOES. on my head. on my back. then I got rectal cancer!!!!! It took me a lot to make an appt. Bc I've been recoveri bc financially from the treatments and loss of wages.... I also had to tell her not to use dirty supplies on me. She tried to use a dirty filing band on the file- a dirty buffer,used dirty nail file,used dirty cuticle nippers, used dirty sloughing sponge on my heels.. this is against sanitary regulations. This is how fungus and other infections spread and even AIDS. Because she was so rough she could draw blood and she's using these tools on others . I went to the deluxe salon in EHT on West Jersey. hopefully I won't catch anything from her filing my skin bc she cut my nails so short it caused pain then she filed my skin then made fun of me for flinching at that too. I feel so discouraged. back to doing my own again. cost: 45 for a Jelly Manicure and a $5 tip. I tipped her bc I'm not that person. karma is real. I gave her $5 and asked for her name on my way out for the review. I'm starting to think she isn't licensed bc it was THAT BAD. and my toenails are crooked. lesson learned. I thought I picked a wonderful spot. It looks pretty but if you're not going to follow simple sanitary protocols to protect people, then it's not pretty at all.
