She's always willing to give me her suggestions while my postpartum hair growth does whatever it wants to do! It's such a chill vibe and you can tell everyone seems to like one another. That really helps me feel comfortable and relaxed as I've been to other salons where it feels like people aren't a fan of each other.

I read the amazing reviews for the salon and for Paul and am so glad I booked. I wanted to go platinum blonde from the dark blonde/brown I was. I came in with a mix of previously highlighted hair and box dye and Paul was able to create magic. He was up front about the risks and what would be needed on my end to maintain healthy hair once bleached, but still gave me the confidence that he could do it. And he was right! He took his time and was meticulous about not bleaching the strands that were previously highlighted and gave me an amazing deep condition. My hair actually feels healthier than before somehow. Long story short, he is the first stylist to really listen to me and what I want. He achieved it without compromising my hair. I'm just so relieved to finally find my stylist and salon. I was a little bit skeptical on going to a salon on Colfax but looks like this is the only place I will be going to from now on. Christina listens to everything I tell her and even remembers what I talked about last time I was in, which makes it feel personable and welcoming. I have very short hair and only came in for a root touch-up, three highlights, and a quick bang trim. Somehow, the stylist managed to stretch this out into a four-hour process just to rack up a bill of over $500.00. The salon itself is funky, located in the middle of nowhere, and nowhere near worth the premium they are charging. To make matters worse, management is awful and incredibly nasty to deal with. It's pretty clear how they can afford to take their team on extravagant vacations--they are doing it by completely overcharging and taking advantage of their customers. Save your time and your money, and go somewhere else.

If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Fast forward to the wedding day- Myrium was very punctual. We had organized for her to bring 2 assistants along to do my family members' hair and makeup, however one of the assistants did not show as her car broke down. Myrium was very apologetic and made sure that she and the other assistant got everybody ready on time. Myrium made me look like a princess on my wedding day, and kept me so calm while she was working on my hair and makeup. I was stunned at the outcome, and everyone could not stop complimenting my subtle yet striking bridal makeup and beautiful updo for the morning ceremony. I had one hour between the wedding ceremony and reception for Myrium to completely change my look- she re-did my hair and makeup quickly and efficiently, and gave me a totally new dazzling look for the evening. We did a trial with her (which we highly recommend) and she spent the whole day with us--two brides--trying out different looks, talking through options, and helping us find the right balance so we still felt like ourselves. She took photos and detailed notes during the trial so we didn't have to worry about remembering anything for the big day. And it was such a bonus that she came to us for the trial--it made everything super convenient. At the time we spoke, she stated that other people had inquired about my date, but something should work (even going as far as to say that people with my wedding planner got some sort of preference). The phone call ended with her saying she would send me a proposal that evening. When the proposal did not come, I followed up one week later and received no response. Two weeks later, I received an email from Cassie saying that after our phone call she realized that she could not put together a team for me, followed by some boilerplate rhetoric about how she wants only people she knows that can fit my wedding needs to help me. This email honestly came too late. If there was any issue with availability that needs to be immediately communicated. The wedding industry can be complex and stressful. Especially, when it comes to ensuring availability of the vendors you want. Waiting this long to express an availability issue put me at a disadvantage for reaching out to other vendors (I have done so but after speaking with Candelaria they were my top pick and I wanted to wait for a proposal). This all comes after I expressed to Candelaria that scheduling makeup was my biggest wedding stressor. After this experience, their concern for their customers and interest in their "special day" rings hollow. From other reviews, this seems to be a common theme. This practice is unprofessional and hurts people. They seem really nice and like they are talented makeup artists. However, they need to work on their communication and transparency instead of stringing prospective clients along.
