I have been a natural blond, but my hair has darkened over time, so I always look for stylists that are know how to handle blond coloring and hair specifically, which is what Natalia specializes in. Not only that, but she also was educating me on the products she was using and also the process in which it takes to achieve the blond hair color I desired. Furthermore explaining how to properly care for hair that I had damaged and misinformation that I had received to maintain the color (that is, using purple shampoos way too often which are harsh and drying on hair). I never thought I would find anyone like her - and I know it can be a nightmare to find someone who can do highlights very well. I can't rate their service because they didn't have any appointments. When I called they asked me to send them photos of my hair and explain what I wanted done. Then they called and texted to say they didn't have any openings soon but we're trying to squeeze me in when a cancellation came about. When I asked if this was weeks or months, they didn't specify, frankly they never answered that question. I came from Chicago from a high service salon and have never encountered this sort of thing. I've had balayage before most even knew about it...and from a guy who ended up being Michelle Obama's colorist and still found time to schedule clients. I came in to Natalia specifically for balayage. I loved her photos on the gram, and wanted someone who knew exactly how to do balayage as I had been through some dud appointments in the past. I came in with longish naturally brown hair and some left over blonde on the ends of my hair but it hadn't been processed in a while so it was shall we say born again virgin. We did not do balayage, it could have been the time allotted or that I was a new client and new hair but she did do a great job for an all over color touch up! It was a beautiful tone and had lots of dimension. It was a Demi permanent so it only lasted 8 weeks before starting to fade back to normal. I'm still searching for a balayage artist willing to go for it but I was happy that she was able to get my hair looking in tip top shape! read more

From the moment that I saw her work I knew that I wanted her magic hands on my stubborn , dry processed hair. I gave her a call and of course she was fully booked for the day that I was interested in.... Gave her another call and she was able to fit me in her busy schedule! Once I got there, I loved the atmosphere... She started by asking me if I had pictures for her to see of what i wanted. I showed them to her but I told her just to work her magic on me and she did!!!! Once she blowed dried my hair she took her time to take some shots, and here they are:) if I was able to give her 10 stars I would.. She is AMAZING!!!!!! Natalia is a godsend. So much so that, while I started going to her when I lived in Denver, I now travel from out of state just to receive her services. My highlighted hair was destroyed a couple of years ago when someone decided to fill in the entire regrowth portion as you would with dyed hair. And instead of using bleach to match what I had in the past, she used a type of dye to lighten it but it was unable to achieve the level of blonde I wanted to achieve. To put it bluntly, it looked like someone peed on my hair. Until I found Natalia, a few other stylists attempted to correct it but only created more damage. I walked in, and 25 minutes later, my 3b/3c hair (easy to straighten in front, kinky at the crown) was STRAIGHT! I was very surprised. It usually takes skilled stylists at least 45 minutes from shampoo to straight. Home girl took it to the bridge with this one. 25 minutes from shampoo bowl to me paying her. Amazing. I would go back to her, because I liked her no-nonsense, get-to-the point manner and, she knew her stuff, but I have this Cherry Creek block. Soooo...if Natalia opens her OWN salon, filled with other hip, skilled stylists such as herself, I will be more than happy to get my hair blown out there. Additionally, I'm in the quasi punk mode where I'm doing weird things to my hair (like bleaching half the bangs, etc), so I need a stylist with less knowledge regarding "ombre/bayalage" trends, and more surf punk/skate skills. I was very disappointed with my experience with Natalia. She was really nice when I called to book the appointment and for the first 20 minutes I was in the salon. She told me my hair was too damaged for balayage and said she could just do highlights. It was disappointing, but ok. She stopped talking to me the rest of the appointment and sat me in a corner for my hair to set while she sat in her chair and remained texting on her phone the rest of the time. My hair looked the same when I left as it did when I went in. She charged me a couple hundred dollars and told me she didn't accept debit cards and that I could write a check. I asked for her last name to write on the check and she told me to leave it blank. I wanted to have the same experience as a lot of people reviewed positively about, but I won't be returning. read more

I have been going to Natalie for many years because she is the only one I trust to cut my short hair. A bad haircut with short hair can take an eternity to grow out so I am very careful who cuts my hair. There are a couple of reviews here that are very confusing to me. I've been desperately trying to find a stylist/colorist who is proficient with blonde hair. I moved to Denver in the fall and have been disappointed with the stylists I have tried. That I changed when I saw Natalia. First off, the health of your hair is her number one priority. We worked through some of my issues including dry and over processed hair. I went in thinking I was going to get highlights, which is what I usually get, but she blended my roots with a reverse balayage, which looked amazing, and started me on a regime for getting my hair more healthy. By my next appointment my hair was visibly improved. She is magical with color and I have been 100% happy with all of my appointments. Asian women, don't even attempt to go to Natalia. I know a lot of hairdressers are afraid to touch Asian black hair because of how dark and how brassy our hair can get. But it was really upsetting. Natalia didn't take a min on the phone to discuss what i wanted or my hair type. She literally just scheduled me an appt and left it at that. When I showed up at her salon, which I drove 45 mins to, I sat in her chair for not even five mins because she then told me that she did not want to touch my black virgin hair because it was too dark. I was really upset and very hurt. I didn't realize that not a lot of hairdressers were uncomfortable touching black Asian hair. But it's okay, I found a hairdresser who patiently bleached my hair and got it to a level 9 and toned it to a silver lavender with literally no breakage or even fried ends. My hairdresser literally told me that other hairdressers who refuse to do Asian black hair are scared and don't know what they are doing. So please Asian women, if you're looking to get your hair done, don't go to Natalia. I have an amazing recommendation to get your hair done by someone who was specifically trained by Guy Tang. read more

With so many colorists out there claiming to be balayage experts, it was very difficult for me to find a salon professional who was actually certified in the art. My former colorist in Chicago was trained at the L'Oreal Academy in Paris, and had taken countless classes from balayage masters like celebrity colorist, Nancy Braun. Needless to say, I have high standards when it comes to balayage. After trying various salons in Boulder (and coming out disappointed with dry, ombre-looking hair -- not what I wanted at all!) I finally discovered Natalia, a L'Oreal trained and certified balayage artist. She was amazing! I couldn't be more pleased with my results, and am no longer having to consider flying back to Chicago to get fantastic balayage! Her pricing is on par with her service -- it's premium!
