Your child will be placed with 1 or 2 other children with the same teacher. The students are all doing separate lesson plans, but there is not undivided attention from the teacher - even though you are paying $45-$50 an hour. This is a one-size-fits all program and is not tailored to your child individually. Whether your child is an auditory learner, hands on learner or otherwise, your kiddo will be working on an i-pad program (I have found plenty of free apps that are more than comparable). THE BIGGEST ISSUE: If you pay in advance, they will put you on a rolling system without your knowledge. Which means, you will be obligated to attend every week on the same time and day (they will not tell you this by the way). If you miss because you were unaware of this policy - it is NOT written in the agreement - then you will lose/forfeit the cost of that class. Sylvan refunded me half of the hours that I paid in advance. I lost almost $400. Please find a more suitable learning experience for your kiddo. This place is over priced and throws your kid in front of a computer. FYI - my kiddo attended the facility in New Braunfels, but Schertz is the managing center. In mathnasium there are instructors, and when you go in, you get your binder, (they supply it) and you pick where you sit, if there is not enough people at one table, and another has too many, then you will have to sit with the one with less people, to keep balance. Here's the story: I needed my 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house cleaned for a move out inspection. I was a little short on time, so I was willing to pay. These people initially quoted me 775 to clean just my house, not including any yard work or anything. To clean an empty house they wanted $775. I said that was just undoable for me, so they offered me a deal because I'm in the military, $400 and they clean my house and do my yard, i thought this was a pretty sweet deal. The day comes for them to show up for the cleaning, and they are super late. So I'm late for work, so i was unable to be there to supervise the cleaning otherwise i would've been. So when they finally show up, they almost NO cleaning supplies, they didn't even bring a mop or a broom with them, so they have to go to Walmart. I have to leave and I have a late day at work so i leave them with the money, my mistake i know. A few hours later i get a text saying that they are finished. They send me pictures, and I'm like OK, well it looks good but i still need to inspect in person. SO i finally make it home after a long day, and low and behold my house is still totally dirty. They didn't do the base boards, or the window sills, which they later said was "extra"????????. Anyways, I sent them a text saying i was unhappy with he quality of work, and they immediately responded by calling me to ask me why it wasn't satisfactory, so i sent them several pictures where there was stuff on the floor that had been there before, of the windows that were unclean, and the baseboards. They said they didn't have time to do my garage.. I paid 400... They were "done" within 2 hours. 200 dollars and hour? I don't think so. Worst cleaning service ever. Also, suspiciously my bar speaker went missing around the time they cleaned my house.. My house was mainly empty already as I was moving out and I wasn't paying constant attention to my things in my home, but I have since moved and been unable to find said speaker... Regardless, this is THE WORST cleaning service ever. I truly hope this dissuades people from using them as a service. They also stopped returning my phone calls and text messages when I asked for my money back.

The tutors were very kind, patient, flexible, and knowledgeable of the subject. A couple sessions were held under recommendation without the pressure of being pushed into doing more.
