I came here for an eye exam and to have some form completed required to have my NYS license renewed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by someone at the front desk who was extremely unprofessional. She told me to sign in, as she spoke to someone on her personal phone. When I wrote my name down on a list and walked away, she called me back up with an attitude and told me I had to complete other forms... maybe if she was doing her job, I would not have walked away without completing everything... not my fault that she was distracted and seems to hate her job. Anyways, from there... my experience changed. The staff in the back and Dr. Roa Al-Abdalla were all amazing. The doctor was extremely easy to talk to and addressed all of my concerns. I did not feel rushed and she really put me at ease! Okay, so once done with my exams, I went back to the front desk to pay my co payment and ensure that my prescription was sent to the pharmacy... days later, and I am still waiting... nothing received at my pharmacy! I called the office twice. The first time I spoke to Candy, and she said she would give me a call back... of course, she never called back. I had an appointment at 11:00am and I waited from 11:00 am and it was 3:00 pm and the doctor never saw me until I said I am leaving cancel my appointment and do not reschedule me again. But If i never came to the appointment the clinic will send me a no-show fee of 50.00. This is ridiculous that a patient is treated with no consideration. I do not recommend this office. The service is awful, but my doctor is great. Does it make sense. Office not communicative but will send you a no-show bill. read more

My wife went to take an eye test for NYS driver's license. The personnel were very professional and polite. Good service. Be careful. We just received a $50 fee for a no-show for an appointment. The appointment was never made. It seems deceptive and unethical. I have tried to cancel any future appointments. They put you on hold and you are ignored. read more

When the place recently opened everything was fine- the staff was very attentive and wait time wasn't much. Now waiting time and examination extends to 2 hours. You're charged 50$ for no show up. In my last two visits the place has gone down hill. The doctors themselves are still very nice, and very knowledgeable. They seem to genuinely care about your health and are open to questions. The problem is the receptionist and a few of the staff members. The receptionist is very rude, and cold, she seems like she could careless about welcoming patients. There's always an underlying attitude with her. Some of the staff have follow suit with a passive aggressive responses for minor questions or concerns you may rise. Disrespectful, and bare minimum attitude. Again, the doctors are great, but the receptionist and staff make the visit incredibly displeasing. I am in awe, is all I can say. I came here after my usual location is closed due to covid, after hearing some great things about the staff I decided to go forward. Now the staff was great. Just let me tell you about the receptionists @ this location, very unprofessional, rude and a tab bit disrespectful which is a direct hit on the reputation of the rest of the staff of this establishment. If she doesn't want to or cant handle the workload I would suggest a replacement or for a job search. For one an obvious descalation of situation is part of the reception job, not to exacerbate it. Simple questions where answered with attitude and aggression. Not what I wanted to experience for my first time coming here. read more

The older receptionist with glasses is rude & unprofessional she should loose her job or resign since she seems so dam miserable. The place is nice & the rest of the staff are very pleasant. The doctors and staff are great and the service they provide for the community is unbelievable. The equipment is all new and state of the art and the doctors are very informative when it comes to learning about one's vision. The one thing is that the reception area is a bit cold and blunt with patients. Besides that I love the service and the staff. read more

Extremely disappointed to say the least! This location is one of the few locations that are open because of Covid and unfortunately was not the experience that I was looking for. The staff was great however the receptionist was extremely rude, nasty, and annoyed when I arrived. As a receptionist, you are the first face that the customer sees when walking in, it's our first impression, sets the tone for the entire experience. I went several weeks ago to ask questions about purchasing glasses. The girl in the front was nice and courteous. She directed me to the an elderly woman in the back. I asked if she took my insurance and she said she's never heard of my insurance provider. I remained quiet as she continued to look in the computer. During her search I asked normal questions that anyone would ask at this type of business establishment (such as price, copay, etc). I'm still wondering what I did to her to cause her to have such an ugly attitude. All I did was ask her questions. I left angry and confused but I decided to go into another place in the area and they treated me so much better. When I asked several of my friends they all told me they had a similar experience. I was wondering why they didn't tell me sooner. Anyways, go somewhere because people have enough things to worry about during a pandemic. read more

This is my first time writing a review in any site ever. But, because of my bad experience I felt compelled to do so. I went in there to inquire about an eye exam and to make an appointment. The lady who took my information was incredibly rude. Maybe she had a bad day, maybe she was stressed because of corona, or maybe shes just a b&@$!. That is not my problem. No matter the circumstances I was a new customer to this business and she literally drove me away. I will be writing several negative reviews on different venues regarding this matter. People don't need her negativity when getting an eye exam. When I left, I just went somewhere else around the corner and they gave exemplary customer service. But, people need to know that if you want to acquire customers during a pandemic the last thing they want to hear is a negative attitude AFTER compliance. read more

The receptionist/ manager of this place is very rude and incapable of solve any insurance issues. I had to go to my old dr in the UWS and get the prescription and the glasses a $ 800 dollar business they lost because of this lady. Refuse to give me an appointment for the most ridiculous reason I have two insurance which they accept but they were not sure which one will pay them??? Isn't they job to get the client and contact the insurance to make sure they get pay? Unbelievable!! read more

Ingrid refused to take insurance or call provider number to confirm that no referral was required. We have the provider phone number and even offered to call for her with the phone on speaker, because we dealt with this all the day before and wanted to make sure the ducks were in a row, but she refused to even lift a finger. We were forced to pay out of pocket $250 (not the biggest deal, insurance can reimburse us). Billing department was closed and Ingrid would not put us in touch with anyone else. If we weren't so worried about rapidly declining eyesight we would have canceled the appointment, but the sheer heartlessness of the situation really effected us. My partner was literally in tears thinking he had more hoops to jump through when his eyes had deteriorated 25% in 48 hours. Ingrid tried to say that she should have charged us more, but honestly she shouldn't have charged us at all and she would have known that if she called the insurance as we kept begging her to do. I broke my glasses and went in to ask about repair services or about purchasing a new pair. The young lady in the front directed me to the woman in the back because she was with a customer. While I was speaking to the receptionist in the back I noticed that she wasn't really being attentive. She kept telling me to hold on as she went back and forth in the office. I was waiting patiently until she finished whatever she was doing. I assumed she was filing paperwork for another customer. Afterwards, she was being really sarcastic with me. I noticed that she was being nasty with me. There was no reason for this. I've been to lenscrafters and decided to go here because it's closer to me but I won't be coming back. I've never been treated like this at any place of business. I will be notifying all my friends and family to not come to this place.. read more

I really wish that I could give this place 5 stars because the doctor was great and took her time with my son to make sure that she had an accurate exam. I am very happy with the doctor and with the optical sections young lady who was pleasant. however the middle age lady that sits at the front desk with long dark extensions was so extremely rude that she completely ruined the experience that I was initially happy with. I can't understand how she is allowed to continue to work there because I am sure that I am not the only person who was treated so poorly. This was paid for by my private insurance and most paid out of my pocket so when I make such an expensive purchase I would at least expect some respect. I am due to go back next Saturday and I dread having to even cross a word with this lady. She needs to be spoken too I really tried to hold my composure. read more
