This is a great place to renew or obtain a new eyeglass prescription. The optometrist was not only…read moreprofessional but also very friendly, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. However, I would never recommend this place to anyone who is looking to purchase a pair of new glasses. Without insurance, I ended up spending nearly $600 for my prescription, frames and for some features to make my glasses a little more comfortable to wear (ex. I have a high prescription so I pay a little extra to make my lenses thinner). It took about a month to receive my glasses, which felt like an inconvenience because in my personal experience, regardless of how strong my prescription is, I've never had to wait more than two weeks for glasses. When I finally got my glasses, I was disappointed with the quality. They felt cheap, and the lenses pick up finger prints quickly. The lenses also aren't securely attached to the frames. When I wipe the lenses with a cloth or when I take them off, they make a creek noise and they tend to shift in place. For the amount of money that I had paid, I would have expected to receive a pair of glasses with great quality. At Eyeglass World, I've never spent more than $400 for the same services that I had paid at Eleven Optometry (this includes their two pair for $100 deal). I was in a rush to get a new pair of glasses, but I now realize that a week wait for an appointment at Eyeglass World would have been so much better than coming here.

A couple years before Dr Westfield retired I changed to his colleague Dr C Edward Yee. His bed side manner was not warm and fuzzy However, his medical training seemed more then adequate. I wear glasses for distance clear and Sunglasses. My Sunglasses were never upgraded to match my clear distance glasses This is where my nightmare began!! I went to Costco eye department to get my new frames and upgraded prescription for new Sunglasses. I was told the prescription was more then a year old I had to have my Optometrist put a current date on my prescription. So back to my Dr I went 1 week later and $50.00 poorer I picked up my prescription and off to Costco I drove. I picked up my new Sunglasses 8 days later only to find that my distance vision seemed a bit clouding. Back to Costco I went to inquire as to why I had an issue with my new Sunglasses I was told the prescription I gave them was different then the one on their record. So back to my Optometrist I went. I was told that the prescription was the proper prescription even though I was told 2 months early I needed no upgrade to my current prescription. The receptionist told my that the Dr must do a eye test before he would issue and sign my prescription. Dr Yee preformed the brief eye test and confirmed that I needed the stronger prescription. I told him that it would be dangerous for me to drive with my new Sunglasses and please issue me a signed copy of the older prescription With no Sympathy, Empathy or compassion. He agreed to sign the older prescription but told me he would no longer be my Doctor. Dr How dare a mere mortal question the grate a powerful Dr C Edward Yee!! If anyone in Las Vegas knows of a qualified, skilled and compassionate Optometrist please comment here.

There were 4 of us so he split us into two rooms. The Doctor was easy to work with. I haven't been able to find a doctor that actually said he knew what my issue was. Over 12 years I have been told nothing is wrong with my eye sight. I explained to him the problems I have experienced over a decade and he just knew what I was dealing with. I'm grateful for finding him. Highly recommend.

I even recommended my daughter to go because of how positive it was. Unfortunately, the quality of service declined afterward, especially during the times we were assisted by Jr. I decided to give the office another chance and brought my husband in for an appointment. When it was time to choose his glasses, my husband politely mentioned that we usually make those decisions together. As I started asking Jr. questions, he completely ignored me. I repeated myself three times and even had to raise my voice before he finally acknowledged me. When I asked what our insurance covered, he responded with, "I don't know, you'll have to call your insurance company," and simply wrote down numbers without explaining anything. He also made an unusual comment like, "Don't worry, this company won't rip you off." When I asked what he meant by that, he couldn't give me a clear explanation. I Care Overall, my recent experience was disappointing. If he didn't want to provide good service, my husband and I could have easily taken our business elsewhere. I truly hope the customer service improves, because the first visit showed they're capable of much better.

Getting an appointment is easy, and there is no wait once you get there. I also like that when you call, a human being answers the phone instead of a recording like many other places. They really put the human touch back into eye care. Also, they are great about answering all of my questions; I can admit that I'm a bit high strung and high maintenance, but they are patient and kind with me and I really appreciate that. :)
