I love stopping in here because the meat is always fresh and prepared that week by the students in the retail meat program. And if you ever have any questions, the students and instructors that work in the shop are very knowledgeable and helpful! This is a great place to go if you live alone or just don't need a large portion of meat at any given time, as they do carry smaller portions of steak, ground beef, etc. I really enjoy their bacon, as it tends to be sliced a bit thicker than the ones you would typically find at the supermarket.

This is the quality (or lack thereof) of "thick cut bacon" that Calahoo Meats is selling to people…read morelocally, I purchased two packs around Christmas & they advertised it as a "sale" for $6/kg package, & I can see why. About 98% pure fat, hardly any actual bacon meat, and what's there is hanging off the fat part by a thread, ready to fall off at any moment. A few slices there with no meat at all. The second pic "looks" better but it isn't, I just layered the slices and that hides the same amount of fat underneath. That will likely be the last time I ever buy from them. Both the shrimp and fish batter were under cooked and same with the onion rings. They advertise fresh cut fries and the order tastes like frozen fries. We were staying at the rv park and thought this would be a nice dinner treat. How wrong we were. I'm from the rock and i'd be laugh at if served this to my friends. $30 plus dollars and a $5 tip, how disappointing.
