Over charged and refuse to answer phone calls about it. I would never go there again.

I will start with the good. The young lady at the service desk, blonde hair, well done tattoos on left arm, and the two cashier ladies were awesome. Very friendly, very nice, and very helpful. Now the bad. I took my avalanche in because of an airbag recall, however, I was having issues with the stabiltrac, the #1 cylinder was miss firing. So I replaced all the coils, wires, and spark plugs yet the issue remained. To give context as to why I went to the dealership, years ago I bought a Nissan pathfinder that was over heating. I changed out everything possible and still the same issue even after taking it to two mechanics. No idea what the issue was. Took it to Nissan in Winchester and Nissans have a heater switch that is more or less specific to Nissans. Only a Nissan mechanic would know about this issue. So it was finally fixed. So I took my avalanche to Malloy because I thought maybe they had a better way of determining the issue. The way I had to park my truck there was at an odd angle due to the parking lot being full, this matters later. I asked them to do a diagnostic on the truck for 180 bucks. What I was told a day later was that the #1 cylinder was bad, they would have to break it down to see what the issue was which would be expensive and they took an oil sample and found metal shards in the oil. When I came back to pick up the truck I noticed it was on the exact same position, the dirt on the hood was the same as when I left it, and there was no way someone got an oil sample, I crawled under the truck to look and there was zero fresh oil and the plug had not been touched. So I paid 180 bucks for what AutoZone does for free. Their solution was a 12k engine replacement. I cannot prove they did nothing, but I could see that they only hooked up the diagnostics device to the interior port and that's all. I would never take a vehicle to this place for work nor would I buy anything from them. Finally, all cylinders began to fire properly, the issue is with the computer. And they never even mention that. read more

I stopped off today to have a tire plugged on my car and perhaps buy a new car. They charged me $51.00 to plug my tire where anywhere else would've charged $20.00 I guess they plugged me too... Then to make matters worse, They offered me $19,000.00 for my car on a trade. This was $5,000.00 less than the value KBB has for a trade in on my car Hey listen, everyone is entitled to make a fair profit but this is seriously taking advantage of the wonderful people of Winchester With that said, perhaps it would be beneficial for you to shop around Caveat emptor ( Let the buyer beware) This is what happens when their list for greed circumvents doing right by the customer. Malloy Service Department has the worst customer service out of any dealership I have ever experienced. They performed service work on my vehicle and within 6 months the parts had failed and according to them needed replaced again. They refused to honor the GM stated warranty or stand behind their work and mistakes. General Manager went as far as telling me he wasnt going to assist me because I had shared my experience on Facebook. Certainly had they stood behind the warranty I would have never had the poor experience to share. I have purchased multiple vehicles from them, when your buying they will do whatever possible to win you over, after the sale they will do whatever possible to screw you over to make a dime. read more

Malloy Chevrolet - Car Dealers Near Me - Winchester, Virginia

I feel it might be beneficial to share my recent truck service experience: I've used Malloy Chevy dealership (formerly Price Chevy) for the past 16 years -- never had any issues until now. Seems the change in ownership has brought undesirable consequences. I am preparing to sell my truck with 184K miles & needed to find out what was wrong in some areas. They diagnosed some of the issues but I was waiting for the last diagnosis. In the ensuing time frame they went ahead with repairs, without my consent. Once I got all the issues identified I would have needed to spend $4000-5000 on repairs. The NADA value is between $4000-5500. Now they've spent $1150 of my money on a vehicle that now doesn't warrant the expenditure. Had they not proceeded it would have cost around $200 for the diagnosis. It appears to me that the service rep is more interested in padding their bottom line than taking care of the customer. Given this experience with Malloy Chevrolet's Service Department I strongly recommend you take your service needs elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MALLOY CHEVY SERVICE. read more

Deceitful. Dishonest. False advertising. We confirmed the price twice with two different employees prior to making the 4 hour round trip for nothing but a donut and the run-around. When they were confronted by THEIR mistake, we were treated poorly with at least five excuses for the ridiculous price hike/adjustment, and they couldn't get us out the door fast enough. One salesman who hounded us for the appointment snuck away and hid and the other one was rude and defensive. Save the stress and AVOID this dealer. Crushing disappointment. Not worth the donut!!!! The general manager stated he would look into it and call back the next day. We are still waiting for the call two days later. They don't care about the customer. It's obvious. read more

Service Department is the worst I've ever dealt with for several reasons. 1 they want you to pre authorize $180 for diagnostics to figure out what's wrong with your car even though you have the full warranty. I get it if it's not covered but shouldn't they know by now what's covered or not by now or be able to check beforehand?!? 2 Last time I had to take my car to get fixed they said it was the sway bar bushings but after they put it back together they then figured out the strut was bad so I had to come back another day and they gave me an electric car with no way to charge it and if it was under a certain battery % I'd be charged a fee. Then I had to find a charging station in BFE and paid to charge it, sit in the freezing cold with my daughter for an hour and barely got 5-10% charge. 3 Then when I got my car back after they aligned it after fixing the strut my steering wheel now sits crooked. Now my car keeps the check engine light on due to EVAP code that Chevrolet put out a thing on but again they want me to pre authorize $180 for diagnostics before looking at my car because they don't know if it'll be covered, umm pretty sure Chevrolet says it's covered since most models are doing this. read more

Donald Bowers my daughter was so happy she had what she thought was a nice car and below book. we wondered why but it had a crack in front bumper and figured they didn't want to fix it and just got it off lot, boy were we wrong. it went into low power mode (2 mos.) and was very low on oil took to shop they couldn't find any leaks changed oil good to go. nope. low power mode came on again code was something to do with airflow made appt at my mechanic in mean time it had been using about quart a month. she figured quart a month wasn't going to break her,at this point she had the car about 6 months. just by chance a 3rd party extended warrenty company with malloy logo contacted me via text saying my warrenty expired, didn't know ieven had one so i called, what can it hurt. she had proof of when problems started. told no warrenty but if she wanted to trade it in "they were there". ( same saleman) no offer of any kind of help or even an offer to even look at it. went to appt at her machaninic ( haines autommotive if you are looking for honest shop) for air flow lets see wahat this is, and turns out the air flow was full of metal so the engine is coming apart inside and now needs a new motor. thank you malloy team when taking about cars and since "you are there" i will pass the word. read more

Please, take a moment to look over these reviews. There's a reason for the low marks, and it's not that all of us out here are just nasty people. I went car shopping one day with my husband. He came with me in case I found what I wanted on the spot, and I could drive off the lot. He stood behind me, playing on his phone, and yet, I was bypassed so the salesman could greet him and shake his hand. That's not a good start. Then, when I was finally acknowledged, he actually chuckled when I stated what I was looking for. When I asked what was so funny, he assured me I'd never find it, and that I was being a little too picky. That wasn't a great middle. He asked me to test drive a vehicle. It was 3 years older, had 40,000 more miles, a broken seat adjustment mechanism, and more scratches and dings than I could count, than what my current vehicle had. Oh, and they were only asking $9,000 more than what I had owed. It was my turn to laugh. It was a ridiculous ending. My husband and I left. We knew the day had been wasted there. The next day I went to UAG. I drove off the lot in under 3 hours with exactly what I was looking for the previous day. Amazing that one guy's "never" was another's sale. read more

My husbands truck was towed to this dealership for work that was covered under warranty. They completed the repairs and we went to pick it up two days later. When we went out to the truck, there was something splattered all over the truck. It was so bad that it was hard to see out of all of the windows on the drivers side. We went back in and the person who helped us told us he didn't know what it was all over the truck (and apologized), but he told them to clean it before we came to pick it up and they obviously didn't. He took it back to the detailers and then brought it back up with a new scratch on the front fender that appeared to be from an orbital tool of some sort. He apologized again and took it back to the detailers once more. They were unable to get the scratch out and gave us the option to leave it there for two more days at least. We declined to keep the truck there, but the "manager" told us that we could bring it back at a later date and wrote down what needed to be repaired. I will say that he was kind and listened to our concerns, so kudos to him. The next day, my husband and his friend were looking at the engine because he was explaining what happened to the truck. They noticed that the plastic fasteners that held tubes in place were all loosened and never tightened back up. Needless to say, we are taking it to another dealership closer to our home to get a second look at it and make sure they did the repairs correctly. It's really sad that we have ZERO confidence that it was done right. Avoid this service department if you can!!!! read more

Ive been looking for a 2022 Colorado for a couple months now. I called Malloy Chevrolet on my lunch brake got in touch with a Mr. Terry, who from the very beginning has been of great help. Was able to sell me a brand new vehicle thats still not on he's lot "in transit". Able to work with me while i was at work and a doctors appointment, with great communication. Check engine light came on and I went to their website made an appointment- to get my name on the books for the day- and the next day they assessed the problem, provided courtesy shuttle to/from my hotel. I bought a 2020 ford explorer limited on November 24th 2022, by December 1st 2022 it was going into the shop for transmission problem. Ive now had the car 5 months, it's been in the shop for the same problem 3 times (about to be the 4th) but no one at the dealership I bought it from is willing to work with me and get me out of the junk they put me in!! I loved going to this dealership and working with some amazing salespeople but after this and the general manager not even willing to work with me, I will not be returning nor will I be recommending any longer to friends and family! read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS GARBAGE! Bought a 2018 Chevy Traverse Redline (not from here) back in July 2018. In September I had to have it towed to this dealership due to issues with the engine overheating. The service advisor let me know it would take some time to look at it and that they had no vehicle for me to borrow while mine was out of commission (1 week later I get a halfway broken down 12k Chevy Cruze). They had my car for 2 weeks and was unable to fix it. There was no coolant in the engine and so they topped it off and sent me on my way. Well 4 months later, the engine would only fire a couple cylinders and was shaking like crazy. Had it towed in again (still no loaner vehicle). They called the next day saying the fix was to reprogram some chip. Now yesterday, while driving home from work, the engine overheats again. I had it towed for the third time. And for the third time I was told I couldn't be helped with a loaner vehicle while they "assess" the issue. I bought a 50k car and it runs like a piece of junk. The service team at this dealership does nothing to help. I've filed multiple complaints with corporate on the vehicle and the service team. Hopefully they will be able to assist with my lemon of a car. If my brand new car is going to be out of commission for an extended period of time, you should offer some method of transportation so I am not left finding a way to work. read more

Called last week regarding a time to come by for my free State Inspection, a perk for buying the car from Stutzman last year, and received nothing but an attitude. I know they don't take appointments and simply wanted to know if a day, or perhaps a time of day, is sometimes better than another. I ended up paying to have the car Inspected somewhere else. If I would've known Stutzman was going to sell out to this group I would never have purchased the vehicle. And the $99 processing fee under Stutzman is now $699. More money and attitude. Dealership is not any good since Mr Stutzman sold it. They are they only dealer in the area(I called 3 others) that does not give you the option to keep the original parts they upgraded at sale. (Wheels/tires/floormats that were paid for already, then they add the $5k wheels/mats/running boards) They sell these parts themselves to make more off of you. They tried to say you're credited the value of the factory parts, but cannot show me. They try to sell you new tags when your old tags have 1.5 years left, you have to catch that fact and point it out (saves you $40-$50). The service department does not do alignments after they install suspension/drivetrain parts(you have to ask for the paperwork to find out that they never performed the alignment. The shop foreman told me he could not perform an alignment 2hrs before they close, and to bring it back Monday. I had to rent a truck that weekend to move items with. Their own franchise-named body shop won't even use them for suspension work on Chevrolet anymore. Steer clear of this nightmare. I wish I had gone to Country Chevrolet instead. read more

I'll start with all the employees I came in contact with were very friendly and courteous. That being said I had to wait for 3.5 hours for my car to get an oil change and a tire rotation that I was told would only take 1.5 hours. By the time it was done my price was doubled if not more for a circumstance I felt they should have told me before they finished taking off all the parts so I could have had the option to get them replaced there or not. But instead they took it all off and I had no choice but to pay for it. read more

Purchased a high end car from these guys. Would NEVER recommend that anyone purchase from them. They misspelled sales documents repeatedly. We prepaid for delivery of our vehicle. When the vehicle arrived, the RUSSIAN person told us (in extremely broken english) that we owed money and would not release the vehicle. It took hours to get this resolved and the gentlemen would not leave our property. It took over 2 months for them to send us our registration and license plates as the guy that sold us the vehicle apparently was no longer employed there and everything that we were in the middle of was just dropped. On top of all of this, our credit was completely exploited as we began receiving endless spam emails from creditors. We also received notifications from Experian that our personal information was found on the dark web. Malloy Chevrolet is completely disorganized and the manager was not helpful in resolving any of the above issues. I would never recommend them. read more

I am not one to do reviews usually. But my experience with this dealership deserves to be heard about. If you are looking for a vehicle definitely go to Malloy Chevrolet. We were at several dealerships and I mean several in four states over a couple of months and let me tell you Malloy blew them all away by far. The other ones had little to no inventory and same with staff there was literally hardly anyone there. The other dealerships were down right dismal and sales people were too. I assume bc lof Covid and the way the world is but not Malloy! Malloy was bustling and vibrant! Rick the salesman is who you want he was attentive kind and knowledgeable. Doug the general manager has a great personality and his experience shows through his ability to get things done for you. Noah the finance guy was equally wonderful along with Kayla (?) who lined up our after market stuff. The entire staff were so friendly and you just had a good feeling being there. I usually hate the whole buying a car, being at the dealership and dealing with it all but this was a very enjoyable experience. I cant wait to go back to buy another vehicle!! Buyer Beware. On July 30, 2019 I purchased a 2016 Cadillac CT 6 and paid $39,000 cash. The sales rep was excellent. I live in Pennsylvania and got a VA 30 day temp tag and drove home that day. Malloy Chevrolet was to mail the title to me. It is now 78 days later and I still do NOT have the title. Have called Malloy Chevrolet several times and even spoke with Chad the general manager, who assured me that the title would be sent to me. That was 3 weeks ago. My second VA 30 day temp tag expired on Oct 5, 2019. I cannot use the car. If you choose to buy a car from Malloy Chevrolet I would suggest asking to see the title before you pay. This place is a joke. They had my car 3 different times and each time the issues have not been fixed. First time for an oil leak. Got it back, continued to leak. Told to bring back so they could make it right. Get it back the second time, still have an oil leak but a new bonus is my ac suddenly doesn't work anymore. Take it back again. Claim its coolant leaking, not oil. First lie. They replace my NEW coolant reservoir tank claiming its cracked and coolant levels low. My coolant level hadn't even moved because we actually check under our hood regularly. The tank had no cracks. Lies again. They sprayed freon in my hose so when the car was picked up and ac turned on it blew ice cold air. ONE HOUR after leaving the ac stops working. Shocker. Probably because they didnt investigate why my ac wasnt working, just put a new tank in and some freon and hoped for the best. Oh yeah, and they have their new tank ziptied lol. Charged $251 for a new tank and clip that I already bought new 6 months ago and installed correctly. They don't want to provide a refund because they want the opportunity to make it right. Why would I trust a place that has not fixed my car the 3 seperate times they've had it? My mistake for taking it to a dealership service center. Pretty sad im out $250 and the only way to get it back is have them try again? You didn't fix the problem or render the correct services and you don't think you owe me my money back? Service department is horrible. Took my 2014 corvette in for yearly inspection and the tech jacked the car up by putting a floor jack under the rocker panel (which has a fiberglass covering). Gouged the fiberglass on both driver and passenger sides and scraped an aluminum framework on both sides as well. Jacking Corvettes is well described in the factory service manuals which the tech obviously didn't know about or care about. If you value your corvette don't go to Malloy Chev. in Winchester VA. read more

I traded in a Cadillac that I paid cash for in August 2020. I was assured the Equinox that I was purchasing was a better deal. I had no issues with the Cadillac and paid roughly 12,000 for it. Traded it in on an 2016 Equinox and got 9,000 for it and received a call from the finance company this evening I was still financed for roughly 15,000. I had a car title loan that was 2,600 to be paid off but I still shouldn't have that much on a car that was JUNK, that they knew was junk and sold it to me anyway. A car that in no way was more valuable than a Cadillac. It's been problem after problem I started calling on Friday when they opened back up from the holiday and told them I tried to have it inspected and the mechanic said the breaks and rotors were going out and the exhaust was leaking. The service department man named Dan, if I remember correctly told me that it wasn't "possible" that it would have been inspected before I was allowed to pull off the lot but told me to call the pre owned sales manager, in whom I spoke with on Saturday who also said there was no way because it would have been thoroughly inspected by the service department. So this is my plan tomorrow, I'm taking this car back to them, and they can have it. PERIOD. Let's see if they put one of their family members into this vehicle so they can be in the situation that I am in. So in essence I paid 22,000 for a Chevy equinox and a Cadillac was only 12,000. I got short changed, I spoke to the general manager who wants the service department to go over the car. Why? So they can find nothing? Nope Nope and NOPE!! it's going back and I'll buy somewhere else. I was curious as to how fast my credit got approved since it's crappy anyway. They needed to get this car off the lot, just as the other equinoxes that are proven to be junk and I was the first idiot that came through the door that could be talked into this. My credit may be ruined and it's a hard lesson learned but I will no longer recommend these people or this dealership to anyone. I should have listened to EVERYONE and not gotten rid of my vehicle but under my circumstances I felt it was the best option and now I'm regretting it and will be for a long time. So I went from a Cadillac and a Honda to now nothing thanks to these people!! By the Way, the beige Cadillac on the lot that is listed at 13,000 was mine, good car but if they sell it for that much then why was the trade in so low? So, they gotten my vehicle and put me into 15,000 worth of more debt but I'll get through it as I always do. The equinox is no good for me when I travel with disabled children and the breaks are bad!! FREAKIN CROOKS!!!!!! Sad part is they also knew that I had sold my other car and this one was the only means of transportation that I would have. Keep deleting my honest reviews and I'll keep posting them.
