During my first phone call, I was able to book a driver for 5 hours to take us to a winery in Virginia. The winery is located over an hour away, so it was nice to be able to relax and not worry about driving. Everything was pretty seamless. Our driver (Rachid) was so professional and even arrived a few minutes early. He was a safe driver, kind and accommodating despite the non-stop storytelling and giggling between me, my sister and a childhood friend throughout the entire ride. Culdesac not only contacted me the same day, but they were the only ones who provided me with any form of communication, and I've yet to hear back from the other 2 companies. I had 11 people in my group and was suggested a 14 passenger Mercedes Sprint Van, picking up from IAD to downtown Washington for $275, which included tax and gratuity. I believe I spoke to Sammy, who was very helpful and friendly. Fast forward to February... The day before our trip, Sammy called me to reconfirm, and sent me our driver's name and number. A hiccup happened to our trip, and I sent Derek a text to come to the airport earlier than we agreed upon. Culdesac called to verify we needed an earlier pickup, Derek kept me in the loop of his transit time, and he came to the spot we told him we were at. Super professional! We decided to use Culdesac to take us back to the airport. Again the day before, I got a call and email reconfirming my pickup at 1:30 pm. We were told that Derek was going to take us back, but unfortunately a hiccup occured where his appointment was going to run over, so Derek texted me that someone else will pick us up, and not to worry. A few minutes after the text, Culdesac called me to say Derek was being replaced by Sam, and they texted me his number. Sam arrived at 1:15 in a 20 passenger van, just as nice as the Mercedes Sprinter, and even newer! It was also handicapped accessible, which was a good thing to remember if someone was disabled. He was just as courteous and got us to the airport safely and quickly. I honestly believe this company deserves 5 stars. They were professional, easy to get a hold of via email and phone, and communicated with me from start to finish. As any parent knows, organizing a party bus for a group of teenagers is no small feat -- and our booking did not go without its challenges through no fault of his own. When we finally got ahold of him, almost 10 full minutes AFTER our reservation was over (which I was only able to do after leaving the venue to call him), we agreed to extend our time (not that we had a choice at that point) for a total of $165. We were off the bus by 1:40am (for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes extra time). The next day, the company had charged us $247 (for 1.5 hours), despite our agreement on the cost, and despite us only going over by 10 mins (again, not entirely by choice). When I reached out to the company and explained that we agreed to $165 (again, only bc we were left with no real option), they were completely unhelpful and threatened small claims court if I disputed the charge with my credit card company (LOL). I'm sure there are other reputable car companies in this area, I'd look elsewhere. This level of utter unprofessionalism over $82 is a joke. Update: "Entire charge" in this instance meant the $247 extra I was charged, rather than the $165 I had agreed to (which was explicitly clear in my texts where I say I am only taking issue with being charged an extra 30 minutes for what was only an extra 10 minutes after being FORCED to extend our time). You would have known that had you bothered to ~even attempt~ a professional resolution (eg, perhaps a single question or a hint of an apology) instead of being immediately hostile and asinine---the below excuse seems like a lame attempt at pretending your response wasn't totally unreasonable (which it was). My review is accurate in all respects, including the timing. Being a "small business" doesn't excuse shoddy customer service and scam-y business practices.

The gym is the size of like a small town high school gym, but it gets the job done. There are bleachers only on one side but not a big deal at all. When we play there we can tell the gym isn't used as often just because of how much actual dust is on the floor. We literally had to sweep before using almost each time. It's a community center so a few times I've been it appears there were other events going on too like birthday parties or other celebrations. There are 2 parking lots: one for buses and one for cars. The fields are nice. They are maintained and the grass is usually cut. One field has a raised mound and the other does not. You can only see one field from the street, but there are two! One is at the top of the hill! Definitely will be back!

The gym is small but large enough for us to set up two volleyball courts side by side. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restrooms are also maintained well although they are a bit old. Overall, Oakcrest is a well-kept and welcoming space for the community.
