If you ride the metro you can see there is an obvious difference with certain metro stops when compared to other areas and especially to those on the VA side. Many of you know what I am saying. If you see the Allied security people in the parking lock I think they just like playing dress up because they really don't do much. Not body shaming but if something went down I do not see any of them running more than 20 feet so maybe that's the reason they stay in their car. I can say they are not doing much from what I see. If you see the Metro police which is a rarity, you will think that something must have happened for them to be out at this station. It would be nice if they were around to handle some of the things you will see at this metro. What do you see? Well, some of these include constant fare evaders, a man with his phallus out (in front of kids) at the entrance front of everyone urinating at the entrance (sorry no pictures), and a train schedule that's seems to be optional. This is not just a Branch problem but it is more prevalent at Branch. The trains seem to be having a hard issue with the retorn to office and the arrival/departure times are nowhere close to being correct. This is one of those things where it might be an only option for some and based on convenience it is the best option also. Still it would be nice if the give a damn was turned up a bit more to equal what I see in other stations.

The station is clean and it has a parking lot. I wouldn't say that the people are friendly, but no one bothers me (lol). The good thing about this station is that you're within walking distance from Addison Plaza, so if you're hungry, thirty, or just want to shop a little you're just minutes away.

I then walk a short distance, past all the people "posted up" against the rail to the C 21,22,29 Bus stop to find a crowd of people standing as closely to the curve as possible, in a "I'm getting on first" fashion. In the midst of that clutter, there is always some middle aged bum with a beard that pulls out a Marlboro 100 and lights it - he inhales his cancer stick, and spews out the remains into the air where all the school kids are waiting as well. I felt so bad for this one kid standing behind him as he blew the smoke right into her face. Also, forget about getting a seat on the bench - There is always this young gal and her 5 kids taking up all the seats. She is sure to sit them sparingly throughout the bench while she watches them from a distance and takes her much needed "smoke break". If her kids don't take up all the seats, her bags will. But wait - there is more! The guys are atrocious! They will squeeze their way unto a bench, and if you walk up and even look at them - they will pretend your not their, or blast their music so they cant even hear you ask too sit. When the bus arrives - they pop up and run to the front and will look at you like your retarded if ask for their seat (which most woman don't, they just end up standing on this overly crowded, loud, long bus ride). The Hispanics only get up for their kind, and the young black guys are just a joke when it comes to chivalry. I only seen a young black male get up once for someone and in him I said "humanity restored". Well this is just a sum up of what you will expect at this station.

I used the YC mobile app & web app twice to get him a ride. Both times it said the driver would arrive in 4 mins--guess that's their default--but actually arrived in 15+ mins. When you book, they just tell you the ride is confirmed, but don't give you any information about the driver or how long it'll take for a few good long minutes. After a loooong wait, it says your driver is 4 mins away. The last time I booked with them, I watched the car on the app that had confirmed just sit, not move an inch, for probably 5 minutes solid. Geographically he was super close. Then for about 8 minutes he just inched along until he did finally reach the neighborhood. BUT, he whizzed right by the school and went down the street and just sat there. I called the service number 3 times-- it's just an automated machine. You can request to speak to the driver. Each of the three times I selected it, hoping to let him know that the school was behind him, it ring once and then hung up. After waiting for 16 minutes total for a car that was in the beginning had been like a 6-minute drive away, I cancelled the ride and ordered an uber for $8 more, which arrived in precisely 4 minutes.

So I gave them another so I booked a ride several days in advance of my scheduled clinic appointment. Today I'm waiting to hear from Yellow Cab that my ride's on the way or it's arrived. Nothing! The time I'm supposed to arrive at the clinic! Whomever I was talking to just kept repeating that my ride's for 10:45am. I hung up cursing. I get a call saying that cat # whatever is on the way. OK. Maybe this won't be too bad. Cab picks me up at approximately 10:37. On the way I see his meter running so I ask if I'm being charged for this ride? I most definitely am. So I'm being charged twice for the same ride! I'm totally and completely done with Yellow Cab!

I used the SmartTrip app to reload my MetroCard and for over a MONTH the funds have been "pending". I called WMATA customer service, I emailed them multiple times, and even reached out to their official Reddit account. There is a lot of congestion for people leaving and entering since there are only a few entry points. People don't have their fare card out or find out when trying to enter/exit they have no funds on their card and have to get out of the way. The people who are supposed to clean the train do so haphazardly and do enough to look busy. Sadly, people are disrespectful and smoke marijuana on the train with no regard to kids, elders or nonsmokers. Keep your head on a swivel. When school is in session, the teenagers that ride the train are rude, can be aggressive and love to put their bags or feet in the seat when there are seniors or working folks who'd like to take a load off of their tired feet. Best advice is to keep the peace unless you have to speak up. Fare evading is real. Those who do it, do so blatantly. Security on the train is minimal and you shouldn't expect them to do much. Out of necessity, people ride the train and if other options were viable, they'd probably reconsider. However, it's a benefit to have a metro system as an alternative to driving and having to search for parking that has inflated prices.
