I hired Envirostar to remove and in ground oil tank and install a new above ground tank. The crew…read morearrived precisely on time and spent the next 3 days carefully removing the in ground tank and installing the new tank. They worked carefully moving their equipment so as to minimize the possible damage to my property. Once the in ground tank was removed, as is required by code the soil surrounding the tank was tested for any oil contamination and in fact the tests proved that the old tank had leaked and remediation was required. Greg had alerted me that this was a possibility before I contracted with him. Remediation is a frightening process in that once the soil is deemed to be contaminated there's no telling how far that contamination has spread and the cost of remediation looms as an unknown. Greg walked me through the process giving me an understanding of my options at every step along the way and advising me as to how to deal with my insurance company. I can't say enough about how professional, courteous and responsive Greg and his staff (office as well as field people) were in performing the work. Greg was ALWAYS available to answer my questions and give me the benefit of his experience. I highly recommend Envirostar.

A month ago, I dialed National and got a free estimate. The person's name Artie showed up late. He will give you a good price and that seems to be catch. Schedule to install Sprinkler system was agreed on one of Thursday. No one showed up the whole day. After three try Artie texted me that it was mix-up and he can do installation on April 30th. We agreed. Yesterday 4/29, I had neither text nor phone call for confirmation. I texted Artie and no response. I left VM and no answer. After that he started disconnecting my phone. I had no choice, so I called the main number. At office one lady tried to help me by checking schedule and told me we are not on their schedule for 4/30. I explained that I need to take Day-off for this and he should have at least a curtsy to call me. She promises me that Artie will call you. Instead of calling I got text, and he said I am running late in scheduled installation, and I will not be able to do your job. He even told me that he would be fine if I found another company to do a job. Really, After one month of loss. Please take in writing if they will honor the installation date.

I got a few quotes from other companies that ranged wildly. Ramos & V was one of the lower quotes. I checked their insurance coverages, license, etc. and everything looked good. They came with a double crew, several trucks, and a crane! Took down the tree in half a day. Returned the next day to remove the big chunks and grind the stump. There was some slight miscommunication because we wanted to keep some logs and woodchips and the crew apparently didn't get the message, but not a big deal. Especially considering what a monster that tree was! Next time we need a whole tree removed, Ramos & V will definitely be on my list.

The guy who came for the treatment consultation (Bartlett) was very nice, professional and had answers to my questions. Bill's partner who came to quote the pruning was nice enough but when I asked for a price, I was given a very vague answer that it would cost "X" but "X" wouldn't guarantee that the job would be complete. So I asked 2 more times what would be the cost to complete the job and finally I got an answer but it was 2X! Significantly higher than anyone else. I decided not to go with them. I was disappointed I didn't get Bill. Everyone said he's the honest one. He's the knowledgeable one. I noticed my neighbors aren't using WTL anymore either. Be careful when you sign with them. Make sure you read your contract. Be sure your quote is to complete a job, not just for part.

This company must have been terrific in years past, given how many of my neighbors recommend them…read more Sadly, not anymore. They took down a bunch of troubled trees. First, they screwed up the permit, filing an inaccurate description of the property. Whatever. Then, they failed to show up on the day of the appointment. Annoying, but forgivable. Then they did the work and I paid up. And then, last month -- three years after the job -- the local government writes me to say the permit was never closed. The company promised the village that we would replant seven trees. That seems like a sensible rule, and we will comply, BUT the company never bothered to tell us this and left the permit open. And when I called them to get their help closing out the permit, they ignored me. When I persisted, the guy who did the job, Remy, came out and said this was not his problem. But the village had sent me his permit language on his letterhead promising to do something he never did and never discussed with me. Surely that makes it his responsibility. He reluctantly said he would take care of this and then disappeared. I left messages for the owner, Bill Davies. He never responded. This is shady behavior.
