For the stairs, Luis sent a subcontractor who started working at 4pm and did a horrendous sloppy job. After an argument, Luis reluctantly agreed it was poorly done and tried to fix it. The stairs still look terrible. The driveway work was such poor quality. A complete lack of care and attention to detail as shown in the pictures. It seems everything is rushed to do as many jobs as possible, but the quality of the work cannot keep up. Within a week we had tire marks and indents in our driveway. Luis showed up and told me it was due to how we turned the wheel when pulling into our parking space. I disagreed and Luis told me that my Jeep Cherokee was a large vehicle and "when the twin towers came down it made a big hole in the ground". Absolutely floored that this man could say something like this. After this, he stopped returning calls and texts. Avoid at all costs.

Says he'll take care of it, but he's gotta charge me to pay his guys. $350 to remove 6-7 pavers to fix a problem that was his fault! He eventually leaves after the arguing that is not his fault. I reached out to Terzano Cabinetry and the owner Joe was very responsive, he mentioned to bring in the door and they would look whether they could glue it or whether they had to make a new door. After a week Joe came back saying they managed to glue the door, charge $30, we are so happy our kitchen looks again as beautiful as before and happy we know the company who made it is there when something is broken afterwards and support is needed. We were so impressed that we asked them back to update our master bath. They replaced wainscoting, molding, tub and sink fixtures, restored bath tile and repainted everything. They even went above and beyond and repaired our runny toilet. Every single phase was done with great care and attention to detail. I am still ecstatic about the result -- I mean like I still smile every time I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge door!! Fast forward to Thanksgiving 2022... 4 year old grandson decides to throw something and dented the kick panel under the refrigerator. I was really something rather minor... but my OCD was kicking in big time, so I gave Rissa a call and she sorted it out... and I mean WAY over and above sorted it out. I have rarely ever been as happy with a vendor / provider -- while I had expected the worst, it was very much the opposite -- they have not yet invented words to describe how much I think this firm has some of the best "after sale support" [and we're talking a LOT of years past the actual sale!!]. While I doubt I'll be replacing a kitchen again anytime soon... if anyone ever asks me for a recommendation, there will be zero hesitation on this recommendation.

We really enjoyed working with Carmi to establish the design and that process was very painless and flexible. We were set to start on renovations in early 2020 however with COVID, we had to delay our renovations due to the building's policy. Kuche+Cucina was super understanding and held our cabinets for us until we were ready and felt comfortable with proceeding with renovations given the circumstances. However, the main reason that this is a 3 star review is that we definitely had some issues working with the renovation coordinator. Though I think we were all in unfamiliar waters with the pandemic I definitely felt like there were quite a few times when the ball was dropped on their side. For example we weren't told in advance that our contractor would need to move certain outlets in order for the cabinets to be installed even though we had asked explicitly beforehand if there was anything that needed to be done in advance. This caused delays in the whole process and required the other renovation company to schedule last minute changes around them which luckily they had no issue with. There were also multiple times that we were asked for information in an urgent manner that we had already provided prior which made the process quite stressful. In addition it seemed like coordination between Kuche+Cucina and the actual workers was a bit messy and just confusing in general. We would be asked one thing by the workers and be told by Kuche+Cucina to just not worry about it. But then later it would come up as a last minute problem and Kuche+Cucina seemed just as confused as we were and said that this was an issue with the contractors rather than take responsibility for their poor communication with their contractors. I expected a profession kitchen renovation company to be more organized especially for a relatively straightforward cabinet installation. Some requests were also totally ignored. For example, we requested that a soap dispenser hole be made in the countertop we ordered and received confirmation from the group but no hole was ever made. It's not really a huge deal to us but it's definitely just one example of many small communication issues that we had with Kuche+Cucina and the communication between them and their contractors. Meanwhile the other renovation company that we worked with for the rest of the apartment work was super communicative and easy to work with even when we hit unexpected road bumps. Since all this occurred during an unprecedented pandemic I would take our experience with a grain of salt but we probably wouldn't choose to work with Kuche+Cucina in the future.
