first time trying, mama chai's, and it was absolutely incredible! Will definitely be back!

2nd time visiting! 1st time came solo. This time with 4ppl. Drinks are excellent. They use real fruit for avocado and mango slush which I love (so nice to see as most places use powders/syrups). The watermelon-lychee slush special is a must try. So refreshing with pieces of lychee blended in drink. Mochi donuts very tasty. Suggest to let it sit out for about 1-2 minutes after ordering, gives it a really great texture once it hits room temp. Get the strawberry shortcake or matcha both were good. They have the Dubai "sushi" mochi available on weekends only. But if you call ahead I think they can make for you. Ambiance is lovely. Outside seating super pretty, (but too hot for summer.). Plenty of seats inside. Service is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and educated on their product. Team is Sincere and genuinely hospitable. read more

I've never been to Mama Chai's before, but I saw the sign from the road and I was craving some good tea. Chai tea sounded lovely, and it was. Rich masala complimented the creamy cool brew and mine was almost gone by the time I got home. Of course I grabbed one for Adam too. I think it tasted better as the ice cubes melted, so by the time he got his, it was perfect. I was truly surprised when I rounded the corner of the parking lot. I thought, wow - this is exactly the type of place Kayla would pick for Yelpers to visit. It was so cute! Flowers puffed around outdoor seating and a vine wall was the obvious choice for some sweet photo opps. I entered to Taylor Swift on blast and an extensive tea menu. It took a moment to realize you can get boba or other toppings with any type of tea. They went really hard on jasmine tea here. Or matcha. Boba with jasmine seems weird to me. I decided Chai was the way to go based on the name. As I decided, my server ... Barista? Tea-ista? Just stood and stared at me. He was a young kid. He ended up being very sweet. I told him I just came from Mr. Kim's and I accidentally ate there. He asked how it was and we had a mini conversation. After placing my order- without boba, by the way, he disappeared. So, I wandered about taking pictures and then sat down at a cute little table. It took a bit longer than I expected to make chai tea, but wow- they were worth the wait. The only reason I'm taking off a star was because it was warm in there, so the wait was uncomfortable. There were games and such for people to come play, but the only other people in here got their stuff to go as well. When it cools down, I bet this will be a really happening spot though. read more

It's surprisingly hard to find places in Las Vegas that use real avocado, but you can tell this one is made fresh. The texture was creamy and smooth, and the sweetness was just right not too sugary and not overpowering. They only offer one size, but it's a tall cup and definitely satisfying. If you're an avocado smoothie fan, this is worth checking out. I'll definitely be back and next time I'm adding boba to it. read more

I was originally introduced to this awesome spot from a Yelp Elite Experience event last year and finally came back! And I am so glad that I did. The inside is nice and spacious (and so is the outside), service is friend, I love the expansive patio with cute decor, and the drink offerings and mochi donuts are delightful. Location is on the side of Shanghai Plaza, next do Master Kim's, so it's super convenient and in a great spot. Plus, theres a lot of space to really linger and hangout here, which is ideal. Their teas are very fresh. And their mochi donuts are always changing in seasonal flavors. This last time I tried the Madarin Orange Juice (very yummy). I definitely want to come back and try one of their pistachio lattes, it sounded yummy too. A great spot for a drink and hangout. You caught my heart at milk tea and unique boba donuts, truly what's not to love? More than anything family and love make the best of days. This particular day we have the opportunity to meet and share our experiences on life gathering here at Mama Chai's! We had the pleasure to meet new friends. Our guests were excited it's here favorite spot. We are celebrating an engagement. While we were here the dining area is open and large. In fact it's a great space for a book club group. How about a little studying or even working. Come and boba and have a little snack. Now the environment is great. The drinks are over the top too. Our host took the order. She was so pleasant, offering explanations of the menu and different kinds of foods they had for sale. We all had a boba . They offer a huge selection of style drinks mostly real tea based. My first time at Mama Chai's was for a Yelp event and was excited to go back. The employees are super friendly and it's a great place to hang out. They have tables inside as well as a big enclosed patio outside. Our order took a little longer than expected but they had a large order before us and apologized for the wait. Best tea I've had and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves visiting new cafes and boba. I tried the Dan Chong Ya Duck Sh*t tea (yes this is a real item on the menu). The tea was extremely flavorful, unique, and delicious. The vibe inside is super clean and relaxing, would not mind spending an afternoon here with a date or to study. I swear, I have yet to have a mochi donut that is able to hold a candle to Mama Chai's. Theirs are just... SOOO GOOD and the flavors so interesting!!! On my most recent visit on 2/28, my friends and I ended up ordering 6, of which 2 came home with me. Dubai: yes, the Dubai chocolate trend hasn't yet gone away and I'm so glad about it. This donut was just dreamy... it was enrobed with a thick chocolate coating and crowned with a huge scoop of toasted kataifi and pistachio cream. Donut royalty, this was. Pistachio yuzu: whaaattt? I have not yet seen this flavor combo anywhere so was super exited to try it. It worked beautifully and I loved it so much. I also want to note that I didn't have a chance to chomp on these donuts until the next day and they still felt fresh and had none of the aftertaste I sometimes get from donuts of a lower caliber. Final note... please check out how cute and gorgeous their packaging is. The store employee who helped us out informed us that it was designed by the owner. Props for their artistic ability. The donuts are nice and chewy. I really like the flavor of both donut and the strawberry donut. The cashier is pretty nice and gave me some recommendations for food in the area which I really appreciated.. decoration they had was really really aesthetically pleasing and they had a nice outdoor section with plants My only complaint is the packaging of the box that the donut comes in.. both the donuts that I had had a crumb topping to it and upon opening and eating the donut crumbs got. I desperately needed a pick-me-up, and decided to stop by Mama Chai's. I got the coconut cloud matcha and a cinnamon sugar mochi donut. Now, sometimes I order things with absolutely no idea what to expect. I'd never had mochi before; I just knew my sister loves it and the donuts looked good. All I can say is I wish I'd bought more. The donut wasn't too sweet and I loved the texture. It was soft and moist, but slightly chewy...almost gooey-like. The matcha was okay. Not bad, but I didn't finish it. I think I prefer more of a creamy matcha, but it was refreshing. The outdoor patio is surprisingly large, and very appealing. There's plenty of seating. Outdoor heaters would really set it off so that people could enjoy it even when it's chilly. The interior is cute too. It matches the outdoor patio's vibe. There were plenty of people studying & hanging out. Customer service was great. The cashier greeted me and was more than happy to answer all my questions. I usually like to look at menus ahead of time, but Mama Chai's website doesn't include drink descriptions, which could be really helpful for first-timers. I have been here once before to attend a Yelp Elite Event and I knew I'd have to return. Since I was on the Strip recently, i crossed the 15 on Spring Mountain and I was there in no time at all including the construction delays. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon, and the place was empty. I ordered a Masala chai drink and I chose a salted caramel mochi doughtnut coated with toasted coconut. I took it to go so the pleasant woman working there put it in a box which made it great for driving. All their drinks are made to order and the tea is brewed for every drink so there is a bit of a wait to get the fresh drinjk form the tea-rista. The Masala chai has a bit of coffee flavoring added which made it wuite tasty! Thius is really a pleasant place and one where I ned to remember to stop more often. read more

Stopped by about an hour before closing on a Thursday and had a great experience. I ordered a drink and a few mochi donuts, and everything was fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service even though it was close to closing time, which I really appreciated. This little hole in the wall needs a LOT more recognition!! The outdoor patio is adorable and it's matched on the inside! Their teas were super good, I ordered the Imperial Ren Shen Ginseng and it was super tasty! Thank goodness the cashier asked how sweet I wanted it because I said half and it was perfect. Our group also ordered the pumpkin spice, and berries and cheese and loved them. The donuts though: I could eat an entire case of them we got the apple pie, strawberry and I believe pecan and they were all incredible. I've never had a mochi donut that had toppings like that and I will ABSOLUTELY get another one!! The only reason for the 4 star is how long it took for the tea. I love the cute patio at Mama Chai's, perfect spot to catch up over a tea drink with friends when the weather is nice. The decor is a highlight and right now it's done up with Christmas trees, Grinch figurines and more for the holiday season. I have been in a few times and haven't really found the best fit drink for me. They have a large variety of teas and smoothies with some coffee options thrown in that do not seem to be their forte. Most recently, I went in with my book club over the past weekend. They do have seasonal specials and the pumpkin spice chai missed the mark for me but everyone else seemed to enjoy their drinks. They also offer some donuts and tanghulu. Their mochi donuts on previous visits were solid but I don't have much of a sweet tooth. This most recent visit, the donuts were a different style and not mochi donuts, but still photogenic and made with creative flavors/toppings. Note that you'll have to ask what the flavors are, as they are not labelled in the display case. The book club girlies especially loved an apple cinnamon donut. For better or worse, this spot has never been busy when I've visited. There is ample seating in and out, and it's one of the few lots that actually does have adequate parking in Chinatown. They are one of the few places in town with tangulu, too - Chinese candied fruit dipped in melted sugar that hardens into a crystal shell. If you have a sweet tooth, pop on by! read more

Had jenga and board games. Menu was kind of small and had hard time deciding what to order. Mango matcha was wayyyy too sweet could barely finish. One of the fruity teas we got was decent but can't remember which flavor it was. VIBING. After being recommended this place by bestie, I'm so glad we were able to go! Busy Chinatown area, but there was still adequate parking when we went around 9pm on a Saturday evening. Though I REALLY wanted to try the candy fruit, I wasn't able to this time around. Instead, we opted for the real pistachio latte w/ boba & the real taro latte. We were told that though the sweetness could be adjusted on the pistachio latte, it was not an option for the taro since they do NOT use the powder like many other places. Both drinks were SUPERB. I could taste the rawness of the pistachios in my latte. YUM. There was spacious seating outside as well as inside and so many photo opportunities! Went to Mama Chai's a little after eating lunch, and what a great place for a sweet treat after your meal. The outside patio is a really nice and lovely place to relax. It's covered, so you are not under the sun and there are gas firepits (nice touch for this cooler weather). There are plenty of seats and tables both inside and outside. They even have board games available. After reviewing the menu and receiving some reccomendations from the friendly store attendant, Chris, I decided upon a small Lychee Dragonfruit tea with boba ($6.25). This drink comes with real fruit bits so you don't need toppings, but I wanted to try the boba. The boba wasn't sweet, so I may skip the addition next time. The drink itself was was refreshing and the perfect level of sweetness. It reminded me of a favorite drink I had from a cafe (Tocaja) in Claremont, CA called the "Purple Me". So happy to have found this similar drink at Mama Chai's. I also enjoyed a Roasted Pistachio and Yuzu mochi donut ($4), which was delightful! It was packaged in such a cute box too. I have my eye on the Korean Banana Milk for my next visit. Looking forward to returning! read more

Stopped in hoping to grab a coffee with friends. They had no regulation coffee but lots of other choices such as tea and smoothies. My wife opted for an Oolong Tea. Which was made with care by the worker and she was also asked to taste it to be sure it was to her liking as they can alter the taste if you would like it sweeter. She said it was delicious. Others in our group also got some donuts which were also delicious. The staff was very friendly and the establishment was very clean with a great outside seating area. Came here after dinner from across the street and needed a place to hang out with friends from out of town for my partner's birthday. Will and V who were working were so friendly! The drinks were really great too. I have a dairy allergy so I had to ask a lot of questions about the contents of drinks, and Will was very patient. They had a pile of board games and some coloring books for people to use or look through. We didn't need them but I imagine it might be nice if a family with kids needed an activity. Yelp Review 2025 #16: Tucked in the back of a strip mall and behind Mr. BBQ is Mama Chai's. Their patio seems inviting and chill. The interior is smaller with a few tables and chairs. The patio is what you'll see more on Instagram. I've visited Mama Chai's and walked out empty-handed multiple times over a year ago when they still had cream puffs. They were always out of cream puffs no matter what time I went. The last time I went they told me they're working on changing the recipe so there was no date as to when they'll have them again. So, I just gave up. A year later, I came back to find out they completely chucked their cream puff idea. Forever gone and I didn't even get to try it! They have fruit teas, milk teas, lattes, smoothies, doughnuts, mochi doughnuts, and some seasonal items like tanghulu which you'll never know when they'll have. Their doughnuts and milk teas are pretty good but that's not enough. They don't even bother labeling their doughnuts. I wish their menu would be more consistent. read more

I LOVE it here! Boba is so soft and chewy and delicious. Definitely add it to your drink. The sea salt crema is unbeatable. We've tried a few drinks including Assam black milk tea, pistachio latte, and salted caramel Nutella latte. All amazing and great you can adjust the sugar levels too. But the chocolate peppermint one was good not so over powered with chocolate! Just right. The crunch one was my favorite so good ! The donuts it self was good was not dry just great . If you're in China town, check out this mochi donut haven. Best tasting mochi donuts in town, hands down. The flavors are unique and they actually have flavor and are not stale like some other competitors. Bonus, they remember me when I come in and it's only my 3rd visit. I saw a sign advertising matcha from Jeju island, so I was excited to try that. However I think my mistake was either subbing for their house-made oat milk or not requesting less sweetener. My matcha milk tea drink came out overly sweet. It did have the cheese foam on top, which wasn't bad. I couldn't finish the drink because it was so bad. It such was a disappointment. I had a bite of the matcha strawberry mochi donut, which was pretty good! They had other flavors that sounded and looked good too. I don't think I will be back. Unlike some of the reviews from the past which mentioned the drink being too sweet, I didn't think so. I thought it had the right amount of sweetness. Overall not bad. The Roasted Soybean Jeju Matcha Milk Tea was really good! It has a nutty milky flavor with the after taste of matcha. Pistachio milk drink is a bit grainy tasting because of the grounded up pistachio. The Pistachio Yuzu mochi donut was a pleasant surprise! Has the savory pistachio taste plus the sugar yuzu glaze on top. Not too sweet and the mochi donut part has a good chewy consistency! $4/mochi donut. I've never seen these types of drink flavors at other bobas, so would be down to come back and try other flavors next time! Review #65 of 2024 Visit around noon on December 11th I grabbed a six-pack of mochi donuts for my kids to enjoy after school. When we got home, their excitement was palpable as they unveiled the beautifully packaged box. Once they opened it, they couldn't wait to dive in!
