Mango sticky rice
Deion A.

As someone whose personality is basically matcha and dessert, I had to check this place out after hearing about it back in Hawaii. I was so excited to find a location here, but the real plot twist was seeing mango sticky rice as a limited-time special. Needless to say, it didn't stand a chance. The shop is super cute, the wait was practically nonexistent, and everything came out so quickly. If you're nearby, definitely stop in and if the mango sticky rice is still in season, don't think... just order it. Your future self will thank you.

We had a sweet craving after dinner and this place came to mind. First thing that stood out is their Mango Sticky Rice. Looks like everyone was getting it so I had to join the fun. It was so good! I could probably ate two. My fiancé opted for the strawberry matcha and it was also delicious. The interior was welcoming and the decor was nice. The staff were all nice and service was fast. If you like matcha or looking for a delicious sweet treat, make sure to give this place a try.

Hojicha Float :)

This was our first visit to Matcha Cafe Maiko. Everything looked delicious on the menu but we decided on a Hojicha Float. It was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. Service was excellent. Interior was nice and clean. Parking is plentiful but can get busy depending on the time of day. Highly recommend. I hope you decide to check them out :)

GET. THE. DOUBLE. MATCHA. I stared at the menu for at least 5 minutes before finally deciding on the double matcha -- a matcha latte with a matcha cold foam sprinkled with matcha. It was one of the best matchas I've ever had -- rich, creamy, and matcha forward. It was sweet but not sickeningly so and didn't take away from the matcha flavor. I also tried the strawberry matcha latte and it was good but I was glad I had opted for the double matcha instead. My sister and I shared the matcha / vanilla soft serve and it was a great combo. The vanilla felt very milky but together it worked well. Service was great- and the bathrooms were very clean!

Strawberry Matcha Cheese Latte

This is our new go to matcha place! I was apprehensive to try the strawberry cheese matcha but with the recommendation from the barista I'm so glad I did. The place is very cozy and welcoming and feels very bright. The staff is kind and our drinks came out super quick! This place is a line of the beaten path but there is so much to do in this one plaza!

Grabbed a quick Matcha after a hearty Korean dinner in the same plaza. This Matcha definitely hit the spot, they have such a great variety of different menu options from drinks to dessert. I opted for their coconut water Matcha, which has a great balance between Matcha and the freshness of coconut water. My aunt and cousin thoroughly enjoyed their strawberry Matcha and banana Matcha as well. The employees were very kind and offered suggestions. The atmosphere of the café was very modern and beautifully designed with the olive tree inside. Seating was simplified, and it definitely gave a clean and simple presentation. Overall, I had a great experience and I'll definitely be back.

Matcha Lattes and Ice Cream (mixed)

Y'all first of all I shouldn't even be here - I dont like matcha lattes LOL. But.... they have soft serve ice cream here so that's what I got. You can choose from 3 options - matcha, hokkaido milk, a swirl of both, and a secret 4th option which is whatever seasonal flavor they have at the time (it was strawberry). I chose the swirl in a waffle cone :D. Tasted great and refreshing on a hot Las Vegas Friday afternoon. My friends ordered drinks but to be honest I cannot 100% tell you what they were. I believe it was a classic matcha latte, another one with ube foam on top, and a strawberry matcha latte. Even got more soft serve, complimentary! Staff was kind and explained the items on the menu well when we had questions. There's not ALOT of seating here, maybe 6-7 tables (not a 67 joke) but we snagged a little table and just pulled up an extra chair that another party wasn't using. Great little hangout spot!

Came here for the mango sticky rice but definitely coming back to try their matcha. My kids loved it! Love the cozy vibes in here and customer service was excellent!

Glad this place is back in a new location! The interior is so nice and modern with seating. We love iced matcha and matcha soft serve. It's so refreshing on a hot day! Go-to Order: - Matcha Latte Iced - Soft Serve ice cream cone mixed matcha - Make it a float mixed matcha on iced latte - mini matcha cheesecake (also mango, strawberry, passionfruit) $6.50 pricey

Coconut Water Matcha
Rox A.

I came in with friends and tried the coconut water matcha for the first time. The price point was appealing as it was advertised at $5 before taxes were added. The drink comes with coconut water on the bottom and a matcha cloud on top. It was super refreshing on a hot day and my only notes were that the matcha flavor was pretty faint. If you like coconut water, this won't disappoint! As for the ambiance of the place, tables can fill up quick, but my friends and I were able to sit on the side bench by the door. Staff was friendly as well!

I don't love matcha too much but this place has the gold! The asian girl at the counter was super kind and offered us a sample of the ice cream when we were having trouble deciding which flavor to get. great customer service will come again!!

Mango Sticky Rice Parfait and Mango Cheesecake

The trendy dessert of the summer has made its way to one of the best coffee shops in Vegas. I went to Matcha Cafe Maiko immediately after I found out that they began to serve mango sticky rice parfait. It was really good, the rice was the perfect texture and the mango itself tasted very fresh. I paired it with their mango cheesecake and it complimented it very well. I'm hoping the make a matcha variation of this soon!

You know your Friday's good when you can have sweet, creamy treats like these. Matcha Cafe Maiko has finally returned to town after their first location had a little business divorce. Now sharing a more accessible parking situation with neighbors such as Nabe and 8oz, they're providing another option for the typical matcha lineup of lattes and soft serves, plus its cousin hojicha (not in the soft serves yet though). I actually went for the Hojicha Latte ($6.75) for my beverage. It was an excellent choice. The hojicha flavor was prominent, but so was the milk, which lent an awesome creaminess to the whole thing. Unless you're gonna chug it (please don't), you'll still need to get a straw to stir up the roasted powder as it settles. I also enjoyed the Soft Serve Ice Cream ($7.25). I went with the swirl, which has both matcha and Hokkaido milk. I did find that the matcha took over a bit after a few bites. More importantly, if you get it in a cone, I advise returning it to the stand since the ice cream in bottom of the cone kinda melted quickly. Whoops. The cone certainly was worth it though, for the light but crispy texture and the waffle flavor as well. Seating can be a little limited at peak hours, so keep that in mind. Decor is a lot of their typical light wood. I don't really remember if there was any music, so it definitely wasn't intrusive; neither was any of the light volume of conversation among the other groups of customers. Matcha Cafe Maiko is a great, satisfying option for matcha and hojicha treats on Spring Mountain. Come by and enjoy them if you haven't yet!

Restrooms were really clean and had the same style decor too, so I appreciated that attention to detail. However, I docked 2 stars since I couldn't order anything. I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

My greedy self thought people are finding out, and parking sucks already there - therefore shut up and don't spread if. Well now thinking about it, I can't do it anymore I got too much love for this place. We come at least once a week, parking can still suck but just be patient (don't even think about parking at AMPM), lines inside can be intimidating but they do a good job pushing through while delivering the nicest possible service..like who ask each customer "have you tried this before? If you haven't they let you try it and remake it if you don't like it" like whaaaat?! And the drinks every single one a knock out. My ranking from favoritest: Coconut Coffee - blended, creamy strong coffee and the perfect about of sweetness. Javacado - very creamy avocado mixing it with Phin coffee is insanely addicting. Cafe Brûlée- Phin coffee with egg, ridiculously good also ridiculously strong. Vanilla Cold Brew - Simple but not plan, when you want no frills but still want the finest. Banana coffee - this is the OG drink that brought me to Phin and made me a monster. The balance of coffee and banana is beautifully done (I'd suggest adding shot). Just go..they deserve all the hype and love.
