It was a pleasure to watch how hard the staff worked and how much they cared about getting everything right, including dividing the checks up with most of the women sitting in one area and their partners at the other end of the table. Sitting outside you can appreciate the challenges they face with much of the food being cooked in a food truck and being served inside and out. I read a lot about how authentic the food is and can't really speak to that but it was served warm, cooked properly, seasoned well and delicious! Great food, excellent staff and charming spot. For dinner I went with the steak coated with a mustard coating and it was cooked perfect and so juicy. Love the fact they have a smaller menu and you can see that works for them. I had some time to kill at Walmart and thought a pretzel snack would be nice. Been a long time since I've had Auntie Anne's. I got their Mini Pretzel Dogs and they were awesome. Seldom do I voice my opinion out loud to no one in particular, but when I had my first, it was "Oooooo these are good". I'm a true hot dog fan and having a container of little dogs all wrapped in buttery soft pretzels was wonderful. Best eaten while warm, and they were great with or without mustard. Auntie Anne's is back on my radar.

Upon walking in, the impression is very authentic German. We were seated promptly although waitress thought we were with a party of 6 and it was just my husband & I. Seated us and we ordered drinks and shortly thereafter we ordered the food. It arrived quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience did not meet our expectations. The potato pancakes lacked flavor and were quite bland. The Wiener schnitzel was especially disappointing -- the veal was very difficult to cut, and the breading fell off almost immediately, causing the dish to fall apart. It did not feel like an authentic German preparation. The rouladen was just ok, lacking flavor also. We were quite surprised, particularly since the owner is from Berlin. It seemed clear that the owner is not the chef or directly involved in the kitchen. My husband is from Germany so we know what authentic German food is. On a positive note, the music was authentic and added a nice touch to the atmosphere, which we did enjoy.
