Went here on recommendations to try the lobster pizza. $40 for a 16" pizza. Not much lobster, mostly peppers and other vegetables. Not a good choice for the price. Not tasty. Margarita was good, wine not so much. Super loud atmosphere and could hardly hear each other talk. Better options in town. read more

To add onto the other one star review about the awful service and the managers inability to speak to the table, the manager HELD UP HER PHONE with the review on the screen and a group of waiters around her and proceeded to make comments to us and gave us dirty looks as we walked out of the restaurant. She told us that she "could not come over" yet spent most of the night attending to one single table and walking around mindlessly. She was disrespectful and should seriously consider running the establishment better if she wants returning customers. read more

Mama Mia's has great pizza and calzones. The staff are friendly and the majitos were excellent. One of the only places were you can find mojitos because resources for mint supplies on the island can get tight. Make sure you are prepared to accept what is available and don't be a jerk and attempt to "have it your way". You won't find that on Vieques and being picky about your food is dumb. So if you are a choosey person when it comes to ordering food, don't come to Vieques. read more

This was the first spot we hit when we came to Vieques, and while we had our reservations about what pizza would be like on the island, we ended up eating our words. The lobster bisque was AWESOME (we almost ordered a second bowl) and the pizza con camarones y queso de cabra was incredible. The Mamarita was refreshing but the passion fruit mojito was the winner. Good food, good drinks, we ordered the mojitos and they were very refreshing. Unfortunately I can't give more than 2 stars for the following reasons: 1. We waited for an hour and a half for our food to be served. 2. Before they brought our food (an hour and a half after we ordered) they told us that they were finishing my dish, adding a side it that I didn't ordered. When I asked them they said they ran out of the other item I ordered "just now". So what happened in that hour?!! 3. Never consult with me if there was another side, besides what I ordered, in the menu I'd like to eat. read more

Food was awesome, great wings. We had the ranchero pizza, which was our favorite. The chicken sandwich was really good, bacon pizza, and pepperoni pizza, all were good. We really liked the crispy crust and lots of veggies on the ranchero pizza. Our wings came out fast, but there were 2 large tables seated right after us so our pizzas took a while to be done. We were fine with it since the view was great, and watching the street life below us was fun. The guys riding through town on horses is cool to see. As with most things on the island, its island time, with sometimes limited resources so you have to be easy going and accepting of this. Its our 2nd time on the island, and (as with any island we have been to) we know not to go to a restaurant starving since it might be slow service or out of your favorite dish. If its super busy or you have a big group (more than 4) or if you are seated right before or right after a big group, its going to take a while for your food. Dont go to an island if this is something you cant deal with. Their atm machine might be down, or they might not accept credit cards. Again, if you are going to a tiny island with limited resources you have to be prepared for all of this. We love the adventure of it all. Cool view of the Spanish fort at night too! read more

The food is pretty good. The service was slow, but not bad at all. I really didn't like how all of the food was served in to go containers even for dine in. Not sure if that is a Covid thing, but I would really prefer to eat my pasta in a bowl rather than a styrofoam box. The salad was fresh and the pasta was tasty. I also liked the dining outside on the roof. It was a nice way to spend the evening. Would definitely go back. read more

Una horrible experiencia, primera vez visitando la isla yo mi esposo y hermano. Fuimos a comer a este restaurante porque queríamos tratar su pizza pero no tenían y aun así nos quedamos a comer ahí y de repente se fue la luz. No teníamos efectivo solo tarjeta porque usualmente en todas partes usan tarjeta. Bueno su generador no sirvió nunca,trataron de todo y nada funcionó para prender la luz del restaurante. Y aun así quería que le pagáramos $50 dólares. Nos quiso llevar a un cajero para poder pagarle lo que comimos, eso se vio muy mal. Somos extranjeros visitando un lugar tan bonito y que se está levantando de el huracán y la pandemia y aun así se comporta este lugar a así y era la dueña la que nos trató mal . When reading reviews from 2 years ago it seems not much has changed. With so many people complaining about the slow service you would think they might try to fix the problem but that has not happened. Our meal came out in stages with my son's pasta coming out with the appetizers. Twenty minutes later one pizza came out. Then another 20 minutes or more the other pizza came out. It took an hour to get all the food. read more

Mojitos are delicious & piñas coladas , we had to wait for a little while but it was worth it the view and atmosphere were great!

my friends and i came here for drinks on a late-ish night as far as a thursday in vieques goes (9pm). best drinks on the island! alanis was our server and she was super sweet and played the best music. we ordered passion fruit and guava mojitos and piña coladas - all delicious! thank you for making our visit so fun! read more

Terrible experience, rude personnel! Threatened by the employees! We ordered delivery which the place was no more than 8 minutes away from where we were staying. We ordered 2 pizzas for our children at 6pm and still at 8pm we had called several times and they kept telling us 30 more minutes every time we called. The delivery guy was delivering in order of proximity and for his convenience, not in which the orders were made. He told us that he had many orders that were closer to him before he could get to our place and we had to wait until he finished. He even told us to let hin know if we couldn't wait our turn to let him know because he could turn back and not deliver at all and hung up the phone on us! We went to the restaurant to pick them up only because they were for our children to eat and there weren't any more choices left at night to get the food! When we got there the pizzas were completely cold! We told the people there what had happened and asked them what they would do about it? They didn't seem to care and they treated us rudely, telling us that if we didn't wanted we could leave and not buy anything. We paid the pizza and asked for a receipt and even they they asked us "a receipt for what?" ... seriously!???? Then they made us wait to until they printed a new receipt! Please people of Yelp....don't order from these people... the are rude and don't care at all for costumer service! Seriously they ruined our last night at the island! read more

I usually don't give five stars for anything but this place was wonderful. The staff all greeted us with smiles and made us feel at home and Juan (sorry if I got the name wrong) was a super friendly local who really went above and beyond with fantastic service. Great pizza (assuming you're not looking for the dairy/gluten free kinds of pizza). Just really solid delicious fresh food. Medallas were served a degree or two above freezing temp which on the really nice second floor patio was much appreciated. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Vieques. read more

Horrible food my wife ordered the shrimp and chicken pasta it had absolutely no flavor and on top of that they only put like 4 pieces of chicken and shrimp combined. Drinks are decent. Also they are known for their pizza which was also horrible tasted like pizza that's been in the freezer for months. On top of all this the light went out on the island so there atm machine went down we had to wait almost an hour to see if they could get it to work with there generator so we could pay since we didn't have cash and at the end it didn't work. The owner then forced us to go to the local bank and withdrawal money having to pay a 15$ credit card fee on top of our bill and having a worker follow us the whole time like if we had comitted a crime totally horrible experience never have i met such a stingy restaurant owner and making it seem like it was our fault the whole time. We went here our second night in Vieques and had a great experience. They have a good happy hour and the pizza was excellent. My husband and I really liked our drinks-a margarita and a rum punch. The pizza was also really good. We shared a Boricua pizza (chorizo, plantains and veg - really good) and the kids really enjoyed the pepperoni and cheese pizzas. The crust was a light medium thickness crust with cornmeal and a good flavor. The downstairs interior was closed but the upstairs patio seating was perfect for hot June weather. On our second night in Vieques, we decided to stop by Mama Mia in downtown in front of Colmado El Molino. To my surprise, it was pretty great. The appetizers were really good and the menu was very satisfying. The pizza tasted great and service was nice. They had a TV in case you are looking to watch any sports. The terrace brings a really nice vibe. We ordered the Margherita, a simple cheese pizza and the pizza with shrimp and goat cheese, and all of them were very delicious and very well elaborated. I do believe they need to put in a kitchen extractor that fully removes the heat and smoke from the pizza oven because sometimes you could feel the heat coming out of the kitchen to your table. But this place I recommend and would definitely visit again. read more
