I found this store by chance on Google Maps and I'm so happy I gave it a try! The matcha latte was better than a lot of places in Houston. It was not too sweet, was not grainy, had no weird oat milk aftertaste, and wasn't watery! The egg sando was so yummy and light and reminded me of the ones I had in Japan. The service was extremely quick (like I just paid and they already made my drink quick) and the staff is very kind! There's a good amount of tables that get filled up quickly. One thing to note is that they do not have free WiFi to use though, so that's something to consider if you were looking to study here. Other than that it's a great place! We were @bluecloveseafood having lunch when I looked at Yelp for dessert places nearby. I found @mamakocafe and it looked like a fun place. We met old friends there. Hubby had the Chocolate Nutella Taiyaki with coffee ice cream. I had the My Melody Baby character ice cream. Bekah had the Kirby character ice cream. Sarah had the Milk Tea. It was fun enjoying the sweet treats and catching up with friends. This place is so popular and full of people. Definitely a great stop in Corpus Christi. read more

We tried the Vanilla La BuBu and Cotton Candy La BuBu with the Mango Pikachu and they were absolutely adorable and delicious! Such a fun Japanese-style dessert experience. The mango ice cream was especially amazing super creamy with real chunks of mango throughout, which made it extra flavorful. We also tried the ham and cheese pastry and the chocolate Nutella pastry, and both were warm, flaky, and fresh. Everything looked as cute as it tasted. Mamako is a cute Japanese cafe with the sweetest mission. The owners state that the reason they opened was to help keep their mom's Alzheimer's from progressing by working at the cafe. Everything is super cute and also delicious! They serve ice cream and will decorate in the character of your choice! They have the option to pick from Kirby, Pikachu, Kuroppi, Pochacco, and more!! A big menu of drinks from boba to matcha to flavored sodas make decisions so hard. Don't forget about the filled taiyaki and jiggly cat puddings. So far I've tried their taro smoothie, custard and chocolate taiyaki, and matcha heaven drink. All are very good! Definitely a top spot to visit in Corpus Christi! read more

This café is so cute and everything you can order is so fun and delicious! I was in the area for just a few days and ending up going here twice. Staff are friendly and we got our snacks and drinks quickly, even when it was busy. The first time we ordered matcha and a jiggly cat pudding. The cat pudding is a sweet milk flavor and comes with a syrup of your flavor choice. We got strawberry and I recommend it. And the cat is so fun to wiggle! The next day we all got character ice cream cones (Melody Baby, Super Mario, and Little Greenman). They were so cute! And tasted just as good! read more

They gave me a free taiyaki after i had to wait a few minutes for them to be made, it was very sweet!! The plushes are also very cute

I love the story behind why the owner opened this place up, and their character ice creams are adorable. But, I will say that although the Red Bean Taiyaki was good, it seems like some shortcuts were made, and pastry puff was used to make this. It seems a little lazy especially when it should be the actual cutout of the fish and the batter is similar to waffle. Also, I personally think they should be made to order and not just in a warmer. Regardless, we haven't tried their other items they have to offer and I guess it's good for Corpus standards. read more

Amazing bubble tea. They can do their milk teas with non dairy milks which is very nice. The brown sugar boba is amazing. I didn't have any of the ice cream or taiyaki, but they looked really cute just like the menu. This is my new favorite boba shop in corpus. read more
