Good ice cream, but nothing spectacular. It's just as good as Baskin-Robbins, so don't drive out of your way for rolled ice cream. It's really more of a novelty. It looked cool, but didn't taste any better than other ice cream I've had in my life. The inside was very similar to a Baskin-Robbins: spacious, with a handful of chairs and tables. Amazing!! The rolled ice cream was spot on and tasted so good!! It was so fun watching them make it and made the whole waiting process way quicker! The employees were super nice and were super helpful on helping decide what to order! It was super clean and they had this one wall full of massages for people on the wall! We were visiting Corpus Christi for a day and were delighted to find an Asian rolled ice cream shop during our visit. We had the Thai tea ice cream which was really big on flavor and had a great chewy texture to it which is my favorite type of ice cream. They had plentiful toppings that they were generous with - we got the mochi, panda cookies and pocky. The price is pretty standard for the amount of ice cream you get. My only complaint was that the ice cream was still pretty soft and was already melting and breaking apart by the time it got in our hands, so maybe didn't get worked quite enough. Great place for dessert with a variety of choices! When I entered around 5:30pm, the place was pretty full of people. There was no wait in the line to order; however, there was a huge line to wait and watch them make our roll-up ice cream. It was enjoyable to be able to watch, but it was at least at 30 minute wait. I ordered a peach green tea with honey boba drink that was extremely delicious and would go back for! I shared a few bites of the roll-up ice cream (Matcha Lady with graham crackers and mochi). We couldn't taste the matcha and the consistency was very creamy. We ate it all, but we probably would not get it again. Delicious ice cream. We had six different kinds and they were all great. The S'mores has graham crackers and marshmallows with a chocolate ice cream. They roll the ice cream and it looks so pretty and put the toppings on top. It's kinda like Marble Slab but not as sugary. We loved all the Asian candies you could have mixed in. Having seen a local friend visit this place, and knowing I'd be hot from walking all around Corpus Christi, as well as having zero experience with rolled ice cream, I made it a point to stop here on the way back from Padre Island when I'd be most craving something cold. And cold it is, as many others have noticed, as the ice cream is still ice-cold when it is finished being rolled and topped. Even when I had dug well into the bowl, it was still quite icy and not the easiest to eat, but this ensured it wasn't a runny mess. I recommend the taro with red bean, as these ingredients are less sweet and soak up the sweetness and creaminess of the whipped cream and sugar in the ice cream, especially if you add mochi and boba like I did. The service is simple and prompt, and being able to watch your ice cream being made is a huge bonus that makes the experience very interactive and intimate. The penguin-based décor gives the restaurant a chic and cute atmosphere that distinguishes it from "froyo" joints, or really anything else out there. Families routinely eat here, there is a "wish" board on the wall, and the whole place seems like somewhere that people come for fun and to get away from complications of life. I know I always look for that when I'm eating ice cream. I'd come back here in an instant on my next visit to CC. read more

This place a is a nice treat that's different from other ice cream shops in Corpus Christi! Its really cool to watch them make the ice cream, and it always comes out picture perfect. We feel like their ice cream has great flavor to it, not watered down or bland. Maybe it's the type of ice cream you choose, but so far we have gotten really lucky because it tastes better than it looks! Don't try to go right now. Give it a few months…read more 3 FAILED ATTEMPTS. 9 months pregnant and tried 3 different times to dine, each time with no honest transparency with wait times. I really wanted to keep loving Bien Mérité, but after three attempts, I'm extremely frustrated. Each visit has involved inaccurate and constantly changing wait times. My first attempt on 4/10 around 2pm in the afternoon. It was just me and my 15month old baby, there was only 2-3 tables occupied and I was told 45 minute wait with an almost empty dining room. I asked the hostess due to me being 9 months pregnant and having a toddler if I could just at least sit down while waiting the additional 45 mins and was told no. So I totted out my baby and myself, bought pastries and left. The second attempt I was quoted an hour , waiting the full hour and checked back in with the hostess stand only to be told it was going to be an additional hour, on top of what we already waited again. Third attempt (Sunday, April 26) waited a full hour, checked in once again with the hostess and was told it is now going to be another 90 minutes on top of once again the hour we already waited. I understand waits happen, but this level of inconsistency feels disorganized and disrespectful of customers' time--especially when expectations are set incorrectly from the start. I'm just asking for transparency and honesty here. It's disappointing because the space is beautiful and I've always supported this business but the waitlist management and homestead stand seriously needs improvement on honesty and management of times.

First Store in Corpus Christi Texas to serve ROLLED ice cream! They have a total of 5 machines so the wait for our icecream was very short. Their Bubble Tea was delicious! There's no limit to the type of drinks and icecream you can get! I will be back soon! read more
