Everyone, Dr Rahimi, my hygienist Marie and Cindy at the front desk were so professional, easy going and caring. Dr Rahimi performed my examination and helped me understand an issue that had been bothering me. He offered reasonable advice. I am hopeful he will help me find relief for this condition. Marie, my hygienist, was so careful when cleaning my teeth. I have an especially sensitive area and she applied a numbing cream to make the cleaning more comfortable. I don't know what has taken me so long to write a review! I have been going to Dr. Rahimi for 10+ years and he is the absolute BEST dentist I have ever had. My entire family sees him (at least those still living in the area - some even drive a couple hours to see him still!) and even several family friends have been going to him for years now! He has state of the art equipment and the entire staff is amazing! As a child who had some terrible experiences with dentists including painful visits and unnecessary dental work that lead to complications later that required oral surgery, bad dental work has traumatized me! Dr. Rahimi has earned my trust over and over again. He and his staff are kind and personable. They always put my nerves at ease! I no longer feared going to the dentist because I found a team I could trust! Rahimi and his team are also are very honest about what work is needed and are very transparent. I have recently moved to Roseville and am absolutely devastated to have to find a new dentist. I am going to miss this team so much. I could not see any difference before and after my cleaning. she was just talking and telling me a boring story instead of cleaning my teeth. at the end when I complained that all my teeth in the back steel has germ and they need cleaning, she refused to clean them and she said when you smile no one will see those teeth. isn't that funny!!! read more

A friend of mine referred me to this dentist. I called and was immediately given an appointment for next day. I even could have had same day but I was busy working. My appt. was 8am and was immediately greeted by Dr.Rahimi himself, and brought back to an exam room. I gave him a patient history of my dental work. I've been going to Dr Rahimi for probably close to 10 years at this point and I don't know why I never thought to leave a review. Dr Rahimi and his office are AMAZING. My prior dentists were just mediocre and I was never happy with the quality of workmanship when I had fillings. Then I found Dr Rahimi - he's very detail oriented and uses really high quality materials. The old fillings and crown that he replaced feel like my real teeth. I wish I'd had him when I was younger! I honestly do not believe that anything will ever surpass it. My Experience =========== After moving to the Bay Area, I found myself with a dental emergency during the COVID19 shelter-in-place pandemic. A crown I had put in two years ago fell out. I was afraid that the integrity of the crown will deteriorate, or that an infection may manifest. Having relatively good dental insurance, I did not think it would be a problem to find someone. I went on Delta Dental's website and called the 20 nearest dental practices close to my home. Everyone was either closed, not accepting new patients, deemed my situation a non-emergency or only accepted emergencies for existing patients. I called my friend who told me that Dr. Mamal Rahimi is committed to seeing patients who have a legitimate emergency. I called the front desk and got an immediate response. Unlike any of the other practices who said that they cannot do anything because of shelter-in-place, Rahimi's Dental Group heard me out and legitimately cared about helping me out. Approximately 10 minutes after speaking to the front desk representative, I got a call from Dr. Rahimi and was scheduled to see him 1 hour later. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and already had the paperwork ready by the time I came in. Cleaning out my tooth, taking an x-ray, and recementing my crown took less than 15 minutes and I was already on my way back home. Most importantly, Dr. Rahimi saw no reason for a new crown even after shelter-in-place was lifted. This shows that he legitimately cares about the patient, and not about unnecessary expensive procedures. Dr. Mamal Rahimi ============== Dr. Rahimi did all the work (cleaning, x-ray, cementing, etc...) on his own since none of his assistants were in the office. He is extremely knowledgable, efficient and professional, but is also very easy to talk to, fun and laid back. I'm already looking forward to my checkup in a couple of months! Office ===== The office is the most modern dental office I've ever been to. It is spacious, has a lot of up to date equipment, and even has some cool tech edges. For example, if you do end up needing to get a crown, he has the most advanced method I've seen to create one. Usually, one would pay for a temporary crown, get a mould for a permanent crown, wait two weeks, and then get the permanent crown installed. Dr. Rahimi has a machine that scans your jaw and 3D prints a permanent crown on the spot. This is faster, cheaper and more accurate! read more

I hate going to see the dentist, mainly because i hate getting guilt tripped about how i need to floss more. Yeah, i know i don't floss enough, sheesh. One time I went to see a dental hygenist who actually seemed pissed off that i didn't floss my teeth correctly. She was seriously angry at me for it, she practically was yelling at me about it. I went in to see Dr. Rahimi a couple of days ago and yeah, he pointed out that i need to floss more, but he didn't make me feel like crap about it. He was super friendly and so was his staff. Dr. Rahimi is my first "adult" dentist. I had been going to the same pediatric dentist, Dr. Darrow, from age 3 to 20 because it was comfortable and nice and they had Highlights magazine in the waiting room. :) When I turned 20 I finally decided it was time to move on to a grown up dentist, and Dr. Darrow referred me to Dr. Rahimi. I am very happy! He is very nice, kind, and personable, as is his staff. He always makes sure you're doing okay throughout the procedure. I just had a filling today and he offered me music if I needed it (I didn't) and really, there was no difference in a pediatric dentist versus adult. I was worried he would be rougher than my other dentist, but not at all! He was great. Only problem is, you have to book appointments far in advance because they are very busy. That being said, they will make accommodations (last time Dr. Rahimi cleaned my teeth, not the hygienist, because they had to squeeze me in while I was home from school). Another plus -- I have never had to wait in the waiting room. I walk in and they take me back right away. It's great! read more

Dr Rahimi has been taking great care of my teeth since 2003. I have been seeing him and my husband (who is also a dentist) goes to him as well! Dr Rahimi is thorough, gentle and easy to talk to. Dr. Rahimi is fabulous! When I first met him and his staff over a year and half ago, I had to have extensive dental work done. He was thoughtful, sensitive and very professional. But even more important, he does great dental work. My former dentist left me with a disaster in my mouth and Dr. Rahimi strategized with me about the best way to tackle the procedures I needed to have done. He is sensitive to the fact that dentistry can be expensive and your insurance only covers so much each year. Also, his hygenists are great as is Lisa (the receptionist). I found out about Dr. Rahimi from a friend and since going to him I have sent two friends his way. We have all had similar positive experiences. The only reason I give him four stars intsead of five is that his office can be a bit booked up and it can be hard to get an appointment unless you schedule it wayyyy in advance (although he is HIGHLY accommodating) and also, I think his rates are a bit on the high end...but totally worth it! read more

Cindy on the desk was helpful and efficient, the dentist is very personable and professional. Kimberley, who got the unenviable job of caring for my gums was very pleasant and although I have obviously no idea how effective the work is at this point, gave me an excellent experience for my first visit. Why aren't there more stars? Our kids are SO lucky! They will never know the fear of Dentist appointments we in my generation experienced. Lisa, Cindy, Dr. Rahimi, feel like family now after a decade of over the top service on multiple levels. I'm sadly forgetting the name of the new young woman, also a DDS, w/ a calm, kind demeanor. She gave me the most gentle yet thorough cleaning I've ever had. But here's the cherry on TOP....... Our Insurance denied 3X a very expensive proceedure. It was a tricky one, could be determined cosmetic, and so we were starting to pay down the lofty bill. Dr. Rahimi said he'd take one more stab at it and ask to speak w/ a specialist. I learned that he was put through the ringer, being asked very specific questions, all of which he had specific answers to. The specialist said, "after speaking w/ you, I can't deny this claim" 100% covered. What professional takes time to call several times, and have such a thorough working knowledge so as to sway the almighty Insurance company? Amazing. read more

I'm ashamed of myself for not writing a review before now because I have been a patient of Dr. Rahimi's since 2002 and for the past 8 years since moving to Marin, have driven 1.5 hours each way for cleanings and the occasional repairs without a second thought - he's THAT fantastic!! From having state of the art equipment in-house (he can do a crown in 1 visit), to being the kindest, gentlest, most wonderful professional you could wish for and having an absolutely stellar staff who really, really care, you won't find a better dentist or practice. I had to go in to a dentist in another part of the country for a toothache several years ago and they were commenting on how beautiful my teeth were and how amazing the crown Dr. Rahimi had done for me. It's fun to hear other professionals oo'ing and aah'ing over something not many people get to see. Dr. Rahimi is truly an artist. He takes his work very seriously but always with love, fanatical attention to detail and with utmost care. I went to Dr Rahimi to get a Sleep Apnea treatment device. I stayed for all my dental work after that. Dr Rahimi is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. He honestly seems to care about how you're doing. If I have any work done, he's actually called me that night to make sure I was still ok. They offer you and iPod and sunglasses if you want to relax more during any procedure. They tell you if it hurts raise your hand and they actually believe you and aren't judgmental if you do. They seem to stay on top of the latest technology in dental care. They have in room x-rays that get saved straight on the computer to your chart. No fiddly slides that you need to wait to have developed and get lost down the line. Sure, his office is usually booked WAY in advance, but the few times I've called because something was wrong, they always managed to squeeze me in in a timely manner. I would and do highly recommend Dr Rahimi to anyone who is looking for a good dentist. Even though he may be expensive, he's always worked with me to make sure I could afford whatever I needed done. Dr. Rahimi is simply the BEST!! I had a problem with one of my teeth which three dentists over five visits could not solve. During that three year span the tooth was repeatedly worked on and the end result was always the same. I continued having pain after every meal. I read Dr. Rahimi's reviews online and was impressed. During my first visit was able to recognize the problem and fixed my tooth. I have no more pain and can enjoy meals once again. He is a GRATE doctor, kind, caring and very professional.
