Sadly these reviews keep dropping a star. Recently returned to this local restaurant and was not expecting what we received. Honestly, it's nothing like the restaurant I was the first to review a couple years or so ago. Nothing here is the same except the peach margaritas. The food was a complete let down. No idea who is in the kitchen now but none of my usual favs here tasted the same. I didn't recognize and didn't eat the Carnitas. This was a serious disappointment. I literally had no idea what this was when I tasted it. Not carnitas. The enchiladas were also not good at all. But I managed to eat the meat inside, as I needed to eat something. The staff was more interested in looking at their phones and talking to each other at the bar than service. However our Server was friendly. It's clear that this location needs its old chef, and old staff back. The ones who made great food, and gave extremely good service. The ones that made you feel welcomed and at home as soon as you entered the door. Otherwise, this is a waste of their time and the customers. Honestly, if I had the heart to completely give up on this local favorite, I would have given them 1 star. But I'm hoping they can bring it back. read more

Simple grab and run to go lunch. I ordered a chicken Quesadilla and it was very good. The included chips and salsa were also good. Since I ordered to go the barmaid took my order it was ready fast and hot and she even added sweetener to my tea for me! I'll visit again! read more

Love me some Mexican food. The place is in a small town and a hidden gem for sure. Service was glslow but good. Only slow because it was between the lunch and dinner crowd and the servers were cut from the lunch shift and one person was taking care of the tables. Haven't been here in awhile and the past several times were great. Tonight not so. Wanted a Top Shelf margarita, asked about the price. Quoted that the drink would be $10.00 with the choice of the tequila on the "top shelf". Margarita was delicious. But, when we received our ticket, we were charged 12.00. When we questioned it, we were told when I rang it up that's what the total was, even after we shared what the female bartender told us it would be. We ordered queso with ground beef, took a few bites, when the next bite was a long black hair in it. We returned it and received a new one, no questions. It happens, I get it, but when you ask specifically about the charge for a drink and it is different and when we questioned the response is "that's what rings up" when that server and the bartender were involved in my conversation, that's not so good. Misrepresentation. Not so good for the restaurant. read more
