Pat and Alex were fantastic! After a long drive from So Cal with a couple of cars full of family and many pit stops we made it to The Green Room just in time to pick up rental snow boards for the next days riding. It was beyond nice that we had wonderful service to help get us set up with equipment. We were sized right and efficiently helped and out the door asap. I was a lil skeptical when I saw the rush of picking up equipment since they have a 5:30 pm deadline and there was a line, however it went FAST and they were SUPER helpful and NICE! Also this was a super busy time of year right after New Year's Day and some fresh powder was hitting. The Green Room is located conveniently on Main St between Shat's Bakery and Puerto Vallarta Restaurant. So you can grab some grub before or after. They have plenty of parking and large street signage so they are easy to find. The prices are more than fair and competitive so definitely come here if you are looking for Great Equipment, wonderful service, and any stuff you may want to buy to use on the mountain too - they have a great layout and a lot of stuff you are looking for and need to make your experience that much better. read more

The manager at the Green Room in Mammoth made good on a bad situation of ski boots that were purchased there but were not fitting correctly. This was a situation that when I went into the store to resolve it, one ski season later, I gave it about a 5% chance of going well for us. I told the front desk person that I had the biggest ask of the week and he immediately went and got the manager. I explained all the frantic details (boots too small, skier from Mississippi, hasn't been back to ski in Mammoth, bought at the end of the season last year, met him in Colorado for a ski trip this year and he made 2 runs and could not wear the boots at all, etc. etc.). He looked at the boots and could see that they had literally only been skied on 1 or 2 runs. He made us 100% whole and was gracious and professional about it. The customer service was STELLAR! Thank you for helping us out on this, it really impressed me that you were willing to help us given how much time had gone by. The Green Room saved our vacation! My daughter and I were on a special "mother daughter snowboarding" trip. My daughter's christmas gift was new boots and they were not breaking in and were causing her extreem pain, bruises and blisters. I was ready to scrap the boots and buy new ones. Even though we did not buy the boots from The Green Room, when we walked into the shop shared our need, their first response was lets look at the boots and see what we can do! WHAAAAT! They didn't try to sell me new boots?!? Then the magic happened, Chuck who is an expert in fitting boots took my daughters boots and shaped the inside so it fit her foot. No more pain! We just spent a spring break in Mammoth, and luckily were told about The Green Room by some locals. We use a lot of ski shops all over the country, and this is now our favorite. Great service and everyone had a smile and was super helpful. The selection of gear is the best I've ever seen in a ski shop. I had to get rentals for my kids, and that process was super easy and the gear was A+. We needed to exchange some skis mid-week, and they couldn't have made it any easier. I needed to buy a new pair of socks, and they were $2 less than my local ski shop in my hometown. And less than Amazon. (Le Bent ski socks are amazing, btw). These are small things, but they started adding up very quickly. Parking is easy and the location is great. I can't say enough nice things about The Green Room. Our experience was that much better than what we find at other shops. read more

This place is too good to be true. In what is a very expensive ski town they are so fair, honest and kind. I reviewed this shop many years ago when they filled in a rock hit near the edge of my ski for free. So when I lost my brakes on my binding, I knew where to go. They put two new bindings on for the price of one. Incredible. I've skied around the world, Vail, Aspen, Italy, Whistler, Lake Louise, Breck and these folks are just like the good ole pals I would go to when I learned how to ski in Pennsylvania. We were so happy with the service and quality of bikes they rent here! A group of 5 friends wanted to rent bikes to ride from the top lake to town on a last minute adventure and lucky for us, they were able to accommodate us late in the day. The communication was great as we had to call back pretty much hourly to see if enough bikes had come back for the day that would fit each of us. Around 2pm we got the ok that the bikes would be ready in 30 mins after a quick wash. Upon arrival at the store, we were each fitted to make sure the bike size we reserved was appropriate for our height. These mountain bikes have a lot of adjustable parts and based on the type of ride we were about to do they adjusted them accordingly. Helmets were provided as well with our shiny blue bikes. Off we went to return about 30 mins before the store closed. Upon return everything once again was very smooth. I love a place that provides education, explanation, has affordable prices, quality products to rent (and buy) and most of all friendly employees. Thanks for a wonderful experience and I know our entire group will be happy to rent from you again! read more

The quality in customer service here is UNMATCHED to say the least! From our first step we were greeted with nothing but great vibes and great smiles from the employees. Unbeknownst to us just window shopping, I decided to ask for a professional opinion on an unbearable pain in both my feet while wearing my Burton SB boots. Keith immediately jumped into action to assist in possibly finding a reason for the pain. For the next 40 minutes, some back and forth, with abit of shaving of my insoles and I was set ! Walked in and needed a full snowboard setup. Levi was so cool and helpful and quoted us $22 and change for a rental. Slyar in the rental section confirmed the price with with him, twice. We go back to return the board the following day by noon (half day) and there seemed to be a meeting going on in the rental section with what I believe was the owner, as they were discussing future rental pricing. When we went to pay, they said the total was $50 and change. We directly asked Levi what was up with his quote from the day before. His chill attitude did a 180. He responded that the $22 was only for boots and bindings...who only rents boots and bindings, and he saw us walk out with the full setup as he checked us out at the front when I bought a stomp pad. I'll never go back and I wouldn't recommend that you do. The whole situation got shady, real quick. read more

I came to Green Room Mammoth to demo a board for the first time. Out of the many ski/board shops in Mammoth, I chose Green Room because I previously had a great experience at their Orange County location - this was no different. This is my 5th season snowboarding and my first time buying a board specific to my riding style, rather than whatever beginner board was recommended to me 5 years ago. Steven was working and he taught me about the nuances between snowboards and answered all my questions. He was super thorough and patient as I weighed the options and ultimately chose a Never Summer proto synthesis board. Rode it all day, loved it, and bought it the next day. I rented a 29er trail bike to use on the Mammoth Mountain trails. Great bike, and Keith was very friendly and helpful. He was thorough in getting the bike set up properly for me - making sure the shocks were dialed in properly for me (including watching me ride the bike in the parking lot, and adjusting the pressure accordingly). He even gave me some riding tips when I asked him when returning the bike. P3 had a better selection for a same-day rental (I need an XL: Mammoth was sold out of all adult bikes, and everyplace else I called had very limited availability), good price ($75 for half day), and let me rent a half-day starting late morning (they and other shops normally only allow half day starting at opening time - but this was a last-minute rental: just called and then went to pick up the bike). I definitely would rent here again. Their Tern electric bikes would be great for either around town, or a ride up to the Lakes Basin area. read more
