My family recently stayed at East Zion for a quick thanksgiving weekend get away. My parents opted for the yurt while I did the treetop. I liked that they were close together so we could walk between the two for shared drinks and dinner. The view from our treetop was absolutely beautiful. I loved the Mountain View and our big open windows. The check in and out was super easy and the location was perfect. It was close to Zion, Bryce and Kanab and some amazing surrounding hikes. Honestly the only bad part of the trip was the WiFi. It was almost impossible to watch tv with how slow it was. I think if they were able to figure that piece out it'd be a solid 5/5. read more

This is one of a few places where you can get a yurt to stay near Zion. We were definitely excited about the upcoming experience, but not everything went as planned. Pros: - The yurt is beautiful inside and outside and definitely makes for a unique stay in a gorgeous area - The staff, including the maintenance team were friendly and communicated well - The location is perfect and it's easy to get to the place thanks to the detailed instructions - The yurt had a nice bathroom, bed, and kitchenware - basically, everything for a nice stay Now, the cons: - The A/C was not able to handle 30F at night. When we ran the unit, it was noisy and was blowing the air that was barely warm. The yurt also had an extra space heater but it timed out after 4 hours and half of the night it was freezing cold inside. The hosting crew brought an upgraded space heater the next day and it got a bit better. - Wi-Fi was very unstable and spotty. The TV couldn't connect at all and our personal devices had intermittent service. - The sink drain didn't work well with running water and was getting full after a minute. The plumber tried to fix the issue, but it persisted. The soap dispenser near the sink didn't work well either. Suggestions: Check all of the above + add porch light to the yurts so you can see the grill and fire pit outside in the evening. In the end, it's a nice place, but the price/value is not there, unfortunately. We paid the price of a solid 4-star hotel in Seattle/Chicago but experienced issues with some very basic amenities. It is definitely more suitable for summer, but spring or fall might get uncomfortable unless the heating problem gets resolved. read more

We love our stay at the resort , it's very comfortable and the beds are huge . We stayed at the yurts with 2 king size bed, the bath tub is very unique and original, that's where I washed my dishes also . They have sink at the bathroom where you can also wash your dishes but it was a little small , so I ended up using the basin and took the dirty dishes in the bathtub . They have swimming pool and 2 jacuzzis with a nice view . We also bbq at night for dinner which was awesome. We came last week of July which was kind of rainy, thunderstorm and flash flood warning so we didn't get to go in the slot canyon and didn't get to see the stars at night . There are lots of activities in the area and the resort have a binder with great suggestions. We loved our stay and we would love to be able to come back to this area during spring or early fall . read more

I came here in January for a self-funded and self-directed writing retreat. I finished another 30% of my novel-in-progress (look for it in 2025, Jimmy vs Communism!), so me accomplishing my personal goal definitely made me feel good about this place. But here's what I loved about it: climate control worked well, the bed was comfortable, it had what I needed in terms of a decent bathroom and mini-kitchen area... it had the works. And its location in Orderville is excellent. Check-in and communication was smooth and helpful. I hope to return. read more

East Zion Resort was such an amazing place to stay. From the moment I booked the resort to the day we left I was met with nothing but the BEST services. The staff were unbelievably helpful and professional. I searched high and low for the best glamping experience in Zion, one day I stumbled upon EZR and knew instantly it was the place for us. They had everything we needed to ensure a happy and safe experience. With the concerns of Covid still looming they take the safety of their guest and staff serious, by ensuring the rooms are thoroughly cleaned prior to guest arrival. Beware if you are staying in a glamping tent you are still slightly exposed to the elements. Meaning once that sun starts beaming the tent will get hot, and once the sun goes down it does get cold. Out heater and AC unit did a job well done keeping the temps regulated as needed. As well, you can expect some little bugs creeping in. We noticed when we had the lights on in the evening thats when the bugs would find a way in. It was completely manageable and nothing to complain about since we were glamping. I will 100000% book this place again in the future. My only con was that it was an hour from the visitor center. :( The east gate is only 20 mins, however is you plan on catching the shuttle be sure to plan accordingly. OMG This resort is amazing!! We came in at night and were a little tired but seeing the yurt inside was just heavenly. It was quaint and styled. Like Instagram worthy. We got 2 king sized beds insides the yurt. 2!!! Both were so so comfy. Just what I needed after all the traveling. The bathroom was so cute as well! The morning after was wonderful! Stunning resort with exceptional customer service! If you haven't done an actual camping before, I'd suggest the yurt or treetop. I booked the glamping tent, considering my kids had never camped before. It looked amazing, comfy beds, with private bathroom, AC and heater, and all the cooking utensils you'd need. The outside had a table and chairs with a grill and a fire pit. Then my kids saw a couple of daddy longlegs inside the tent. They got so scared. The bottom of tents also was not as secured as we thought. Bugs and rodents would get in easily, so we asked to check out the yurt if possible and might upgrade. On the way to see the yurt, we saw the treetop and my kids like that one instead, so we ended up in a treetop. The young lady at the office was very friendly and helpful. She wanted to make sure our kids were comfortable and made the process so much easier. The unit has everything you'd need to cook and make coffee, Smores, BBq, etc. The only thing with the treetop is that there's a skylight directly above the bed, and it gets super bright when the sun is high. But other than that, this place is simply amazing. Before I made the reservation, I wanted to make sure I booked a unit with a great view. After visiting, I could see that all the units have great views, so you can't go wrong with any. It's just a matter of your preference, tent, yurt, or treetop. This place is definitely our go-to place to stay when we visit Zion/Bryce canyon. It's quiet, peaceful, and away from the crowd. Can't wait to go back! read more

I was recommended this resort by another friend who had stayed a couple months ago. The staff made sure we were check in ready when we got in and everything was very clean/ready when my friend and I arrived. The beds were super comfy and the star gazing window was awesome! The only suggestion I would have is if you are staying in a treehouse where slippers or shoes when walking down the stairs. They are a little slippery. We travel frequently and East Zion Resort (EZR) is easily the most memorable place we've ever stayed. Originally we had two nights booked, but we ended up extending for a long weekend. Our trip had to be modified due to COVID-19, but ended up being incredible anyway. EZR is a destination in and of itself and Kacie gave us such an extensive list of things to do that we hardly noticed the deviation from our original plans! We stayed two nights in yurt 7 and one night in treehouse 10. I cannot overstate how impressive the accommodations here are. The family who owns it thought of EVERYTHING! There are subtle hooks in the yurt to hang items on, velcro holders for the remotes, shelves that fit everything just so, night lights on the treehouse stairs that turn on automatically when you turn the main lights off...the list goes on. Honestly, every detail was straight out of an almost-too-good-to-be-true travel Pinterest board. If I had to choose, I'd say the yurt was my favorite but both are spectacular. Aside from the resort itself, the family is incredible. We had the (unexpected) pleasure of spending a good chunk of time with Kacie, the resort concierge, and were absolutely blown away by her graciousness and extensive local knowledge. "Concierge" is not just Kacie's job title, she genuinely wants everyone to have a wonderful time, so don't hesitate to reach out to her! Just don't be surprised if you come away with a friend for life. We also met other family members and they were all equally awesome. You are supporting a true family business when you stay here! If you're hesitant to travel with all that's going on in the world but EZR is within driving distance for you - go. We were far safer than we would have been at home because you're high up in the mountains and there's plenty of space to distance yourself. There is SO much to do outside of the national parks, you can plan an entire weekend and not see it all. We're already planning a return trip for when the NPs reopen. East Zion Resort has also changed our "bar" for what accommodations should be like! read more

My buddies and I got in over our heads on an off road trail and after 9 hours, we came out battered, bruised, tired and muddy. It was about 11:30pm at this point, and we seriously needed a nice place to rest and shower. We called a bunch of hotels in the area and were super lucky that East Zion had a tiny house available. We checked in, and the lady, I believe her name is Sarah, was very accommodating. She even personally showed us to the house. The house was amazingly clean, well stocked and exactly what we needed for the night. The next day we even booked another night because the place was so nice. DO NOT hesitate to book a stay here. Blown away! EZR is a destination all it's own, yet it's also the perfect, luxurious base camp for Bryce Canyon and Zion. The adventures continue with East Zion Experiences right next door with slot canyon tours that are absolutely a must! This place is first class as the grounds and accommodations are absolutely immaculate. The management and employees treated us like royalty with great communication. Upon check in, we were greeted by the young hostess at the gate with an ever-present smile, just beaming with kindness and welcoming sincerity. Merlin, the on-site day manager went out of his way to provide very useful information about the surrounding area, grounds and services and will drop what he's doing to assist you, again with a beaming smile. The pool and two hot tubs were part of our daily routine and each unit, has its own fire pit and outdoor dining area. The inside of the Treetops appear to be brand new and were roomy and spotless. The evening highlight is the huge skylight above the bed for stargazing and shooting star hunting.....talk about lucky stars; this place is better than advertised and we are already looking forward to our next visit. read more

Wow. What an amazing resort. Went with a group of friends. We stayed in the yurt at the very top of the hill. Such a beautiful view. The yurt was so nice and clean. Everything was provided for us, including towels, utensils, mini fridge, microwave, propane grill for outside, bench for outside. I sprained my ankle while I was there and the staff even brought me crutches to use. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. From the moment we booked our yurt till the time we left, they were nothing short of amazing and accomodating. Our friends also booked other yurts, along with glamping tents and treehouses. Everyone was pleased with their stay. I would say my favorite unit are the yurts. The kids swam in the pool and we also used the common area with benches to cook and eat with our friends. This is our first night in Orderville. We are planning on doing the Canyoneering tomorrow which looks fabulous. My photo does not do this place justice but we came in late from a day at the narrows in Zion. The place is clean and well stocked. All of the fixtures and furniture are upscale. The staff that I have met including the owner( funny enough picking up pizza at the local pizza joint) are friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had brought a car load full of firewood and didn't even need it as the fire pit was stocked for the evening. Cannot wait for tomorrow's adventure. Nice patio upstairs and big shower. This place is very cool. We stayed in the glamping tents and they really have taken the time to ensure you have all you need. Very detailed accommodations. The beds were awesome! Sheets and pillows perfectly white, clean and soft like the towels. Coffee and hot chocolate available. The outside space was perfect to relax and stargaze or lunch at the picnic table. The next time I go there I will choose a treehouse or a Yurt due to the street noise. In the tent you can hear the street below very well. Suburbia is pretty quiet at night and I do like that about it, but this place is not. Also tents 9 and 10 should be rented together as they are so close you can hear everything your neighbor is doing especially if it's after hours and quite outside. They are ideal for a family or group as not much privacy. We had a good neighbor the first night and totally loud, clueless people the next. Easy access to your space except unit 10 did have a bit of a walk from the parking space to the tent. Not a big deal but you have to carry your bag you can't roll it on the rocky path. Close to Kanab which as a cool little town. read more

This is our second year using East Zion Resort. We came back for a reason...all the way from South Carolina. It's worth the drive! Last year we stayed in a tiny house down in town; ultra nice. This year, a Treetop up on the hill. EZR provides coffee and a grill and dishes and all the stuff you need to make this a regular home while on vacation. We would usually stay on the go on vacation till late at night to utilize the days, but at EZR, we make plans to finish hiking/4x4ing etc. early, and to come back and spend time in the unit. Sitting on your own porch grilling steak etc. watching the sun go down is something that should be indulged in on vacation. You can't get this kind of experience in a hotel room somewhere. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights in Tiny House 5. Beautiful tiny house with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay. The roof top terrace is super relaxing, drove to the pool area for a swim which is about half a mile away. Great value for money, coming from the inland empire it is quite a drive so would definitely consider staying here again but longer. read more

What an amazing experience! This was our first time to stay in a yurt. We were not quite sure what to expect. It met all of our expectations and more. It was so clean and had everything we needed. We were able to cook all of our meals there no problem. They had cooking utensils, a microwave, fridge, and a grill! We also enjoyed the luxury's of a warm shower, Apple TV, and a heater that heat the entire yurt so quickly! The management was also great. Found out about this place through word of mouth. Did some research on my own & decided to book immediately! Since it was just my boyfriend & I we decided to glamp, in a tent, rather than the treehouse or yurt since those were larger for bigger groups. Stayed in tent 4, which is close to the pool & gazebo. The tent was everything I imagined, just like what was shown on their website! There is 1 parking right next to your tent, fire pit, chairs, table (seats about 4) & a grill outside the tent. When you unzip the tent, it's so beautiful. Inside, there are scented plug-ins which smell great inside, "windows" you can unzip & decorated with wall art & rugs. There is a mini fridge, utensils, pots/pans, electric stove, microwave, swamp cooler, & floor heater. There is a bathroom attached & divided in the tent. A cute little shower w/ curtains. Tons of towels, bath soap, & blow dryer are included as well. We really had a great time. We lounged outside the tent, snacking, drinking, & enjoyed what was outside & around us. BBQ'd for dinner & later that night made s'mores. At night, it got pretty cold. Wind was blowing our tents that woke us up & kept us up for a bit. But hey, it's all part of the experience! Cleaning staff did a great job! One of the most cleanest places I've stayed at! I definitely recommend anyone who wants to experience glamorous camping. My favorite place I have ever stayed, and I've stayed in a lot of places!! Perfectly located between Zion and Bryce and every detail was thought of. We stayed in treehouse #2 and it was perfect. The bed had a beautiful view of the mountains and the sheets were incredibly comfy. We had a lot of hikes planned but we definitely recommend saving some down time to enjoy the amenities. We loved the fire pit and grill so we had s'mores every night and hung out by the fire. Ideal in the chilly desert nights! We're a camping and a resort family and this is legit a well thought out amazing experience! We stayed in one of the tents and our 3 boys loved it. The tent was custom set up for our family upon arrival and is a remote check in. The manager frequently checked in as he did rounds until bed time. AC, bathroom, microwave, coffee maker, etc. "Rustic lavish" glamping with THE SOFTEST BEDDING we've slept in. They spared no amenities in each room. We stayed here on 6/19/20 at Treehouse 9 and it was amazing! The view from our bedroom upstairs was incredible especially at night because there was a window above our bed and you can see the sky/stars out at night. Very clean place and the fact that it included things like our own grill, fire pit and chairs around it was definitely a plus. I wish we could have stayed one more night. We will definitely be back. This resort is absolutely beautiful. I stayed in tiny house 6 and loved it. Through the years I've stayed at Zion Ponderosa, Zion mountain Ranch, and most recently Apple Hollow Cabins and this tiny house by far is my favorite. There was a pool and jacuzzi that the kids and I enjoyed. The tiny house itself was very spacious with two kings and a sleeper sofa. The bed was so comfortable! It was equipped with everything: dishes, pots and pans, silverware, roasting sticks for marshmallows, and even some board games. I was very impressed with how clean and new everything was. It's modern with a beautiful rustic feel to it. My kids loved the tiny house. I would honestly only consider staying here when I come back. I called a few times to ask questions and Jared was very nice. read more

AMAZING! my hubby and i came to zion for the first time. we were celebrating our 11 year anniversary. the general manager went above and beyond to make our special day, extra special. when we got there, the staff was very helpful in guiding us to our tree top. the tree top was perfect, we've never stayed in anything like it before and the view was beautiful! we are planning to come back this year since we didn't get to do much since we just stayed for one night. definitely going to stay here again! read more

We recently stayed here and were blown away. We stayed in a treehouse and it was so cute, comfortable and just enough space for myself, my husband and our little boy. My son loved it, the pool and the hot tub and that was important to us , that he enjoyed himself. The staff and everyone was super friendly, helpful and we really appreciated the experience. This place is awesome. We stayed in a yurt and it was smartly laid out, had an amazing view and the fire pit / grill was so great after a long day in the park. They even put on an impromptu fireworks show for the 4th. The only downside is it is a bit farther from the park but it was worth it for us by far. Also there's only one sink for both the bathroom and washing dishes but again, easy to work around. Couldn't recommend staying here more. read more
