Very nice experience. There are two floors. We used the upper one because of stroller. There is a bar and six tables. The lower one has a nice big rooms, kitchen and clean bathroom. Decoration is as usually which means very moderate. Staff is very friendly and polite. Everything went pretty fast. Maybe too fast. Main dish came right after soup and because the soup was hot it turned into dessert. But that wasn´t a big deal. They also give you a free appertizers. Kimchi soup was delicious as well as bimimbab and chicken gangjung. Definitely coming back at some point. read more

I mean this downgrade isn't much of a downgrade, but I recently had a really.. annoying experience here. After dining here a couple of times during my time in Prague and really loving how authentic and delicious everything is here, my friend and I decided to venture back to try their galbi, a typical Korean dish that is basically marinated beef. Boy, this was such a bad decision. First of all, if you order anything that requires a grill, they make you order two portions (I'm assuming because it's a hassle to get the grill out and heated). Our two portions were ridiculously small, and each portion was about 290 kc which is absurd. Each portion had maybe three pieces of meat? Which is so unreasonable. Secondly, the meat was really weird. I've grilled galbi numerous times before, as had the friend who was with me, and we've never seen raw galbi like this. The texture was very grainy and the meat was basically all bones... barely any meat. It ended up tasting okay, but that's definitely what galbi is supposed to taste like. The third annoying aspect was that the waiter was being absurdly condescending to us because we weren't Korean. Which is just about the stupidest thing that I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I've experienced racism abroad, that's nothing new. But racism in a restaurant? That's just rude especially because we're paying so much to eat there. The waiter just kept giving my friend and I crap for not being Korean since we asked whether or not it was really two portions because it was one plate with barely any meat and we weren't sure how long we were supposed to grill it.. We also ordered the za jiang mian (not sure of the Korean spelling) which was absurdly overpriced but not bad actually. Too much sauce for my liking, but a good portion to share with a friend also, every single time I've come back, the side dishes get worse. Don't have high hopes for that. tldr; the other normal food and safer choices (bibimbap, udon, etc) are great options. I think some of the other authentic dishes might have been okay, but stay away from the galbi which is absurdly priced and not authentic at all. read more

This restaurant had been recommended by our foodie-son, so we were very curious. The location can't be better, so close to the Namesti Republiky (The Republic Square) and to the Staromestske Namesti (The Old Town Square), in the heart of Prague's "food & bar district", wow! Our son said it is a new Korean restaurant, and that they have excellent prices, and a delicious sushi. All sounded very good. We went there on Sunday late evening. When we entered, the restaurant was really full of Koreans, big families sitting at big tables, eating, drinking beer, looking happy. This was a good signal The waitress was a bit distracted, but smiling and kind. Her Czech was not excellent, so we were communicating in Czech-English mix of words. But all was great. We have ordered the Ebi Tempura ("Smazene krevety s tatarkou") at 129 Kc as a starter, but we have actually got a set of typical Korean starters on top, all for free! What a nice gesture. What a cocktail of beautiful Korean tastes! Our main dishes were excellent as well. My Tempura Udon ("Polevka Udon") at 199 Kc was a huge bowl of soup with shrimps, vegetables and a sort of Korean "spaghetti", in a delicious broth. Our son's Miso Soup came at 75 Kc and it tasted of honey, if it could be possible. Nice! And my husband gorged on the Philadelphia Roll Bento (189 Kc), which contained four Philadelphia rolls, avocado sushi and a salad. And as a surprise, and actually with the bill, we were offered a cute little water melon-strawberry-grape variety of fruit, which was appreciated. Please note that this restaurant has a Lunch Menu, where the prices are even more pleasant. I am rating them the best, but if they still want to hear my suggestions what could be done better, I would definitely appreciate a better Wine List, and muuuuuuuch better proof reading on their Menu (many mistakes in Czech, English, but even in Korean, phhh!). On the other hand, I really enjoyed their guide on how to eat with the Asian sticks. Cool! My husband and I were on a 2.5 week Scandanavian vacation so towards the end of it (right now), we were dying for Asian food. The location is pretty good considering it was only a few minutes walk from old town. Ambience: Casual Food: We ordered the Soondobu Jigae and the fried chicken. I admit, I've always had tentative expectations of sushi in landlocked Prague, but my first bite here blew me away! My Philadelphia Roll Bento seriously tasted like we lived next to the sea, and this was after trying to decide between 15 other things on the menu (both sushi and authentic Korean dishes) that looked good.. Service was lovely - a friend dropped one chopstick, and before she'd even picked it up, a new set and extra napkins were dropped off with an understanding smile. The complimentary starters of kimchi, seaweed rolls, pickled vegetables and apples in yogurt set the stage. A friend's Seoul Set of sushi served in a bamboo bridge was filled with assorted amazing-ness and miso soup was served with every meal. As a finishing touch, we were served a complimentary cold, apple-cinnamon juice. The warmth of service, quality of food and reasonable price may have just won this place the title of favorite restaurant in Prague. I may be back every day... read more

Very good! I enjoyed the pork cutlet ramen, which has traditional spicy broth, noodles, and delicious pork cutlet with a sweet sauce on the side (I believe it was apple based.) the large portion more than satisfied me, and I also enjoyed the small dishes served beforehand. The cost was 199 CZK which is about $10 USD, which is more than I would normally spend at home. I'll be back, to try different things on the menu. read more

I was so irritated by one Korean server giving me some icky attitudes. Not gonna lie but it was a couple mins before 2pm that I dropped in yet the front servers told me that the lunch menu was still on. I was so excited to get the bento beef udon and it was fab! Def on my must eat list. 4 lil apps were delish too! Miso soup tasted a lil weird. Try bori barley tea if you crave traditional Japanese drink. I was lastly eased up by some special Korean complimentary drink which I assumed it tasted like ginger. This time the menu has changed, and probably the chef and waitstaff as well. They were out of bubble tea, and two menue items we wanted, on a Saturday night at 2030. Uh,....ok. the waitress was rude, like annoyed by serving us (Asians and one white guy). The prices have gone up, like ONE piece of sushi for €2.70? Seriously? Then the server asked us to closeout our bill at 2100... you know what I just don't care to go on. We ended up asking another waiter to give us our change from the bill twenty minutes later after the waitress was talking s$%t. [OVERALL] One of the only Korean restaurants in Prague and about a 9 minute walk from Old Town Square. The food is a little better than decent, but if you've been in Prague/Europe for a while and are missing Korean food, Mamy will do the trick. The menu is very extensive and includes pretty much all the classic Korean dishes and some K-BBQ options. They also have side dishes which taste really good (the japchae in particular is really good and tastes authentic). Service is pretty quick and generally nice. [FOOD] Fried Tofu: Was actually pretty filling. The tempura sauce is quite sweet and goes well with the tofu. Overall pretty good. Mamy Bibimbap: If you don't know what to get, order this. There's gochujang that comes on the side - it tastes very sweet and just slightly spicy (it tastes quite different from traditional gochujang, but it's still pretty good). The overall flavor is a good replica of bibimbap (this is a compliment, as I don't expect truly great Asian food to exist in the Czech Republic). Jeyuk Bokum: You get a huge serving of pork and vegetables. The pork is okay, and the chili sauces is a little watery, but it tastes overall decent. TIP - I don't recommend getting any of the ramen dishes, as they use instant ramen for noodles. read more

Korean and Japanese restaurant, which I think may be pretty rare in Prague (compared to the abundance of Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese). What separates them is that you'll get your sushi-fix and also a full Asian experience with the preparation and display of the meal. Go for lunch and you get a great deal. Their lunch menu offers a few options and a daily special. It's a great spot, near Dlouha street, and pretty low-key. Not too crowded, and kind, attentive service. read more

Anytime I'm in Europe, I try to find Korean food and so I was surprised to find it in Praha. Though maybe I shouldn't have been since, even at the airport, signs were written in Korean. Anyways, I was yelping and googling for places to eat and came across Mamy. Friend and I decided to make the trek in the rain to go here for dinner. It was wet, dark, and took us forever to find. We had to go through this weird building/alley way to finally find it. We ordered the bibimbap, pajeon, and the japchae. The food was pretty legit. Everything tasted like it should! They offer free wifi, which was awesome. The food was good, the service was decent, a little slow to get the check (even though we were there a little close to closing time), but overall, if you have a craving for Korean, you should definitively check it out. Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was weird (but intriguing) to hear the Korean workers speak Czech. read more

Oh man, we stopped to watch a Korean tour group file inside and were suddenly reminded of how much we longed for flavorful, delicious Asian food like we were used to back home in Cali. No more goulash or dumplings, no croquettes or frites - we were done with eating local, and just about ready to cave. The staff all spoke English fairly well, and are your typical polished Koreans. (By the way, I'm ignorant of what brings so many Koreans to Prague. The Vaclav Havel airport signs were in Czech, English, and...Korean??) The fried udon (somewhere on the recommended menu, first page) is unholy. It tasted so much like one of my favorite childhood dishes from an old restaurant near home I almost cried. Their dukbokki is crazy spicy and sweeter than normal, so you might want to proceed with caution. Though it was thinner than I'm used to, the soondobu jige was also pretty decent. Then the bulgogi was a little soft and average. But any faults with the food, I've forgiven for the sheer relief of having delicious, affordable Asian food in Europe. (I'm sure they put a lot of MSG in there somewhere. I kept chugging water for another 4 hours.) The total bill plus tip for 4 entrees came to around 880Kc, or $44 - $15 per person. Plus free wifi at a decent speed! Not bad. Definitely check (czech) it out. read more

A great authentic Korean restaurant with delicious and not expensive noodles and sushi and amazing service. Firstly, I was thinking it is sort of a fast food place, because when you enter and see a narrow corridor with a few tables, it does look like a Chinese bistro. However, there is more space downstairs; the restaurant is decorated in rather simple way and looks decent. The bathrooms are also clean. They offer tasty Asian dishes and even serve snacks for free. It is very close to where I live so me and my roommate go there almost once a week! The food is not the best Korean food I've ever had but I can promise at least it is the best Korean restaurant in Prague! Found this place on Yelp which was near to my hotel. I didn't have high expectations of finding authentic Korean food in Prague and was pleasantly surprised with this place. The food was quite good. My only criticism is the rise was a bit hard and they don't seem to use enough water when cooking the rice. The hotel I'm staying at cooks their rice the same way. The prices were very reasonable at dinner for 2 with 1 beer each was less than $30 including the tip. Quite a bargain! read more

I went here because I couldn't get into my favourite sushi bar (Yami). The place looks like nothing much from the outside, but it has a large basement. It was quite busy, with big tables of Japanese & Koreans (which I took to be a good sign). It's not a great looking place, more of a refectory. The menu is quite extensive, and covers both Korean and Japanese dishes. I had tuna and salmon sashimi and a roll (sorry, I can't remember which one), and several appetisers/ side dishes were served to me (without any extra charge). All the food was very tasty (although probably not as refined as Yami). Service was attentive, friendly and straightforward. I would definitely go again. read more

Korean style food like Bambi and Kimchi are the best as it is a Korean restaurant It's quite busy during peak hours.
