It took a bit longer than it should have in way of number of trips, but this was really my fault, as I was not clear about just how much we had to move, and I should have had him bring a truck instead of a cargo van. It was amazing to see how Christian made incredibly efficient use of space and just how much he could fit in a single trip. We did not get everything that day, but he came back the next day with his pickup truck and hauled the last load for me at an extremely reasonable price. Christian was fantastic. Him and his helper were full of energy throughout the entire loading process (we hired him to help us load U-Pack containers). His methodology was a little confusing at first, but made sense once he explained it - they were going for the most packable items first in order to maximize the space in the container. It confused us because that left bits of stuff in every room of the house. My layman's brain expected them to go one room at a time. But no matter, I felt like they got as much as they could into our containers. Christian even had a last minute thought after they had left that he called to impart. It was very appreciated. Wow, I'm absolutely AMAZED by all of these 5 star ratings based on the lack of service I received today. As a matter of fact, he's in the midst of refunding my PayPal payment as I'm typing. He very well may be an excellent laborer, but his communication skills are SORELY LACKING. So, he was supposed to perform a small move (dining room set, lounge chair & bookcase) from Fremont to Vallejo, starting at 10 am. Granted, there was an issue with the outbound end not realizing she had two paypal accounts & supposedly not being able to access her payment. Christian asked me to call her, & she & I smoothed out the confusion thanks to an email sent to both of us by PayPal. She told me to let Christian know that we're on, which I did; however, instead of his just commencing the move, he insists on calling her, as well...really?! I get off of the phone at 8:56 & tell him to TM me upon completion of his verification so that I can deposit his funds into PayPal; I receive a message at 9:12 telling me that if he doesn't show payment by 9:30, we'd need to cancel & reschedule...smh "You wanted me to do job for you as scheduled when your seller didn't receive her monies." See Christian, that would imply that she hadn't been paid prior to my setting up your services, which wasn't ever the case...SHE HERSELF TOLD YOU THAT SHE'D RECEIVED $300, BUT COULDN'T ACCESS IT (which we discovered was due to her having TWO PayPal accounts); YOU tm'ed ME quoting the amount & forwarded the tm from her, asking me to reissue the payment to you to bring with you. WHY would I send you into or PAY YOU for a situation that doesn't benefit ME?! Yet again, you may want to check you so-called communication skills; being lied upon tends to piss people off. I submit payment by 9:27, along with a note expressing my non-appreciation of his time restraints; he then TM's me back at 9:32 stating that he's getting his equipment ready outside...why are you JUST getting equipment ready, seeing that you're supposed to be in Fremont starting the move at 10?!?!?!?! He then says he's sorry I feel that way, & that maybe we should cancel the move & him refund my money. SO, he leaves me in a PINCH AND NOW HAS MY FUNDS TIED UP, as PayPal places a temp hold on refunds. Nope, I wouldn't recommend his services to anyone, & I'm very disappointed that I trusted the ratings here...I may be a fluke, but it's pretty major! read more

I was so lucky to find Christian. He is the most helpful, patient, hard-working totally positive person I think I've ever met. And he's incredibly efficient with his time and energy, which made my move possible--that is to say, I literally don't think I could have done it with another mover. I was moving a 2000 square-foot home into 400 square-foot cottage and an 8' x 8' storage unit, and it was overwhelming to me. Christian's unflagging can-do attitude was indispensable. Sooo...Christian saved me a few days ago. I really wanted to get a few pieces from Craigslist, but needed a mover. I also happen to work in San Lorenzo but live in San Francisco, so meeting CL movers after work to pay and move stuff is near impossible. I get to the close of negotiating with one of the sellers only to find out that she will only accept cash...which I can't provide because getting home from SL takes at least an hour everyday. In comes Christian to the rescue. He offered to front the 80 bucks for me, and then just be paid for it as well as his services upon delivery. Okay, so that was save #1. Save #2 happens the next day when the first seller is 15 minutes late and offers to give me not just the bed frame, but the mattress and box spring too for the same price. I'd only negotiated two pickups with Christian (specifically just the bed frame, and then the dresser from Save #1). HE ROLLED WITH IT. HE (all by himself) BROUGHT ME ALL FOUR ITEMS for an amazing price. He smiled throughout, only made one joke about the shittiness of the situation (I deserved far worse), and still insisted on doing most of the delivery alone, though my girlfriend and I were both there offering to help. Fantastic! Christian and his partner were on time (actually, a bit early, which was fine with me). As they moved our furniture, there were very upbeat and pleasant. The speed of the move was impressive too! They loaded up our two bedroom apartment in only two hours and unloaded in about the same amount of time. They continually asked if we needed any other work done; they took the time to mount a flat screen TV in our new place. Although, we have no plans to move anytime in the near future, we would gladly hire them again. The BEST mover I have ever had!!! I have used 4 movers before, and Christian and Alan were the BEST of the BEST! They moved my 2-bed room apartment in Alameda to a house in Oakland in February 2018. They are the most patient, strong and pleasant people to work with. Booking via text, reconfirmation 48 hours prior via text. They came right on time with 100% positive and friendly attitudes. As the other reviews on Yelp, they work very hard, and were very thorough with my belongings. My puppy was barking at them the entire time and my cat disappeared while moving, but Christian and Alan were very patient with the puppy noise, and Christian helped finding my missing cat while he was loading my stuff on to the truck.
