I gave it a few honest tries but they were not patient, warm, or understanding. He was very heavy-handed with the injections. They did not listen to me and after an experience culminating in a full-on panic attack, I found a different dentist who fixed the crown I had done with Dr. Baldino and my new dentist has been wonderful. My husband loved Dr. Collier and stayed when Dr. Baldino took over. He thinks things have been fine but he had a cavity filled without novocaine as a kid so his basis for comparison is different from mine.

Dr Weinberger is the BEST! He has been taking care of my family's dental needs for about 25…read moreyears. He absolutely takes each individual's needs into consideration at that current time. For example, my twins started seeing him at a very young age, one twin had a terrible gag reflex and needed some work. Because of his special needs, he was referred to a Pediadontist, while the other twin was able to have all of her needs met with Dr Weinberger at that time. I have had other extensive medical needs, Dr Weinberger was always compassionate and coordinated my dental needs with the other things going on medically to the best extent possible. I have full trust in any of his recommendations. He is very gentle and compassionate. I still don't like needing to go to any dentist, but if I must go, Dr Weinberger is the only one for me! He makes you feel like family.

While in the middle of getting it evaluated, his receptionist came in to tell me that it was not covered by insurance, so I would have to pay out of pocket if we continued. I opted to go to a dentist that took my insurance. They still billed me for the evaluation, despite not running my insurance first. Its deceitful to start the costly evaluations before getting the insurance approved, and then to charge the patient despite the office not doing their due diligence beforehand. After the cleaning, we got a bill for over $100. What the heck! Our plan pays 100% for a cleaning and check-up. Come to find out, the insurance is out of network, but I wasn't told. I would have never made this appointment... Why would I go to a dentist who just covers a fraction of the cost, instead of one covering a 100%. I guess I'm stuck paying this $100. I sent an email to the office and was ignored. Just to compare to other dental offices, I called three other dental practices and was correctly told it was out of network. I wish Dr. Evers' office staff would have done the same. The dentist might be fine, but if the office is not properly run, I would stay away from the practice.

Then said she had to call in "The doctor" before she could proceed, implying I was at fault and 'a bad patient'. As a physician, I recognize (and abhor) that tactic. Was told I needed a deep cleaning and nothing else would be done that night. This was after I waited 45 min for my appointment and never had my teeth cleaned. I was going to have to make more appointments in the future. I said no thank you and left. Then charged $100 for the poking, the pain and the attempt at humiliation. Sorry, this is not the way to run a compassionate professional practice. Well, it used to be not the way. Now it's all about $$$ and making patients "the problem". I am so so sick of it.

Dr Lee gets 5 stars, whoever does the authorizations etc gets a 1. This is no way to treat a patient I would have sucked it up and waited on the extraction had I known. Finally, HE found one and made my appointment for me (he knows me all too well) and with a little coaxing, he got me to actually keep the appointment. I'm glad I did. Dr. Mancino is fantastic. Personable, friendly, and seems to genuinely love what he does. He's very attentive while doing work (I did have a couple cavities that needed to be filled... after that many years of no professional dental work, that was no surprise), and made everything as comfortable and painless as possible. For as great as the doctor is, though, one of the hygenists (Diane) is the stand-out for me. It's why we keep coming back. She's super nice, very personable, and remembers details from previous visits, both dental-related AND personal. I think we spend half the 6-month cleaning visits just chatting about vacation plans and our families... the actual tooth cleaning is secondary! As a side note, I've only really dealt with Diane and Dr. Mancino, so I can't speak to the other employees there. But based on the vibe I get there, I imagine everyone is great.
