I also tried their pupusas revueltas, especially during their discounted pupusa Thursdays, and they were outstanding. Alright, this is going to be a slightly odd review because this place markets itself as an ice cream shop. We first came here months ago looking for a sweet treat and figured, why not. The place itself is clean and the staff are genuinely kind, but the ice cream just didn't wow us. It felt a bit generic for the price. While sitting there, though, I noticed they had a full food menu. Salvadoran food, to be exact, and I absolutely love a good pupusa. So we ordered a couple... and wow. They were seriously good. Since that visit, we've come back multiple times, but only for the hot food. The pupusa plates and the Salvadoran dishes in general are consistently delicious and taste homemade. My mom and I visited this establishment over the weekend. Upon entering the place, there is an odor. It smells like a plumbing/sewer issue. As we were looking over the menu, we were both distracted by the unsettling smell. I mentioned it to the young lady helping us, and she said she didn't smell anything. I thought to myself maybe she is immune to it, which could happen if you're in a space for a while. On to the treats. After being indecisive for too long, I opted for the banana pudding ice cream creation, while my mother got the strawberry shortcake. We watched how they made it, and I think the rolled ice cream is such a cute concept. Everything about the presentation is very nice. We both LOVED our choices and everything was so fresh! We sat indoors and had a taste of our ice cream, and as we sat, we didn't smell that odor anymore. I took off one star for the overpowering odor when you first enter and for a little bit after being inside, but I observed the place to be cleaned and hoped for the best. I had previously given them 5 stars because of their service, the ambiance and pride they took in preparing their food but ever since they sold it to someone else, I feel like they're focusing more on food. The ice cream used to be delicious here but it seems like they're focusing more on the bigger food. You walk in and the lady's appear to be angry. The chick that took our order seemed impatient when my step daughter didn't know what to order ( no pictures of the rolled ice cream) so I had to explain to my step daughter what there is and all I could hear is the cashier impatiently tapping her long nails on the counter. First time trying rolled ice cream, so we stopped in to check it out. They did not disappoint! At first we were overwhelmed by the number of yummy options (they all sounded so good!) but we all loved our final decisions. The ice cream was smooth and even a bit dense, with cute extras on top that we didn't expect (the coffee one had whipped cream, pirouette cookies and Teddy Grahams). The ladies were courteous and efficient, & worked hard for all 5 of our rolled ice cream orders. Luckily they weren't busy so we didn't have to wait long. We've been here a handful of times. Ice cream is great, however this is our 2nd time with an issue. There's a guy who works there maybe early 20s he has poor costumer service when I asked a question regarding toppings like I should have already known the answer. Now we went in today, and the smell was horrible like sewer and rotten eggs. I read a review 9 months ago and see that someone had also complained and the owner stated it was fixed. Such a fun place to get freshly rolled ice cream! This isn't like Coldstone where they smush candies and goodies into already-frozen ice cream - they take whatever flavor pieces you get and pour CREAM onto the super cold metal doohickey. After the cream solidifies, they scrape them into the fun rolled version you see in the pictures. It could not get fresher than that unless you get a a cow involved. So glad they opened a location in Lancaster (there's one in Palmdale also) I find myself always wanting dessert in the evenings lol. Especially during these hot days. I've seen Manantial Frozen Treats driving by, but I was unfamiliar with what it was, so I never went. I had been craving something different. So I looked them up and we decided to try them. I'm so glad we did!! Fresh and well blended ingredients! We got; Mint Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake and a Mango Pineapple Orange Smoothie. The ice cream rolls were delicious! My rolls didn't melt the whole time it took me to eat it (I ate half in store and the rest in the car. Slow eater). I appreciated that every spoonful had toppings finely mixed into it. The strawberries were sweet and the cookie on top, and mixed in, were very tasty. It's definitely a different take on ice cream, and it exceeded my expectations. What was the cherry on top, was the staff. The owner, Rosie, was so welcoming, engaging and friendly, I honestly felt like I was at a friend's house who was spoiling me with food. It was just a nice place to sit in, enjoy the music, enjoy the conversation and eat with friends (and new friends on the other side of the counter). The one in Palmdale I go there like 2 to 3 times a week they're very good and I love it and I recommend the banana split roll and the one with the bears those are the bomb. Ladies and gentlemen you do a very awesome job I like it better than 31 flavors. I even left a $6 tip after paying BEFORE services were rendered: your employee decided to serve the family behind us because they had one kid. Make it make sense. We will definitely be back! They offered friendly customer service and even brought our IceCream to where we were seated. The ambiance was refreshing and spiritually healing. The interior was well maintained and they are very sanitary. Be prepared to wait a few extra minutes as it is FRESH and they literally roll your IceCream's.
