The first time I came here, I was a happy accident and I had no idea what to expect. The owner was so sweet and helpful, guiding us through the menu and even giving us a pupusa to try since we were stuck between flavors. His kindness and the tasty yucca fritta stayed with me over the years. It's been a couple years, but on a recent trip through the area I decided to come back! The small shop is a quaint no frills location (fyi no public bathroom), just as I remembered it. I changed up my order this time around, opting for the seafood soup, shrimp cocktail, Salvadoran horchata, and a custom grilled chicken plate with the yucca fritta of course. Good portions and the food was tasty. The price is fair for the portions you get. It's a small restaurant in the middle of Palmdale blvd. They open 10-6pm except Monday that is closed. Beware that on Tuesday and Friday pupusas are $1.40 so you must pay with cash or you will get a $2.50 card fee. The staff is super friendly and family owned, always very attentive when we have come in and super nice. It's small inside so if you have a group larger then 4 you going to have to squeeze in but the food is really good, Yucca, pupusas, maduro, queso and all kinds of options for pupusas! I eat pupusas often and these are among the best I have tried. The fillings inside are generous and I appreciated how the pupusa held together on the outside without getting too soggy.
