It's like if a cloud and a muffin had a baby. Warm, soft, and so perfectly balanced between banana and nutty goodness that I almost bought another loaf just to avoid the heartbreak of it being gone. Don't ask how many pieces I ate just know I left with crumbs in my soul. Theo and Enoch are the best and they give you great recos on fruit choices that you can't go wrong with. After the back and Akaka falls we needed a much refreshing fruit punch and the ice cold coconut pineapple with fresh lime and tahin left us craving for more to say the least. We did pick up a bag of sugarcane ( chopped into bite size chewies) which will remind you of an amazing sour patch when you have those bites/chewies dunked in lime juice. Definitely stop here on your way to or from Akaka falls. It's small and unassuming, but they have great fruits and other treats, and you'll be happy you stopped by. We chatted with some of the guys there for a bit, and they told us about some cool spots to visit around the island. Left 'Akaka Falls State Park and the heat was real. I wanted something cold and refreshing, and Mana's Aloha Farm caught my attention from the road. The signs are bright and inviting, so it's hard to miss. I pulled into the parking lot and the dirt road offers maybe about 10 parking spots. There were other patrons leaving so I was able to snag up parking right when I pulled in. I purchased one of each on their menu offering for the day -- $10 for a fresh coconut and $10 for fresh cut pineapple. One of the guys cut the coconut right in front of me and even cracked it open once I was done with the juice for the coconut meat. The cut pineapple was extremely sweet and so addicting. The fruit sold here is grown on a local farm which means if you stop and purchase at this stand -- you're supporting a local farming family! Nothing better than supporting local. read more

My wife and I stopped by this place after visiting Akaka Falls State Park. The prices are reasonable. We shared a coconut to drink, it was plenty for us! The guys cut it open for us to eat and also gave us star fruit samples. They were also selling pineapples that they would cut up for you. You see a local vendor selling things on the side of the road... stop and buy something. Most likely their product is the most juiciest, freshest you'll ever have other than getting it from the abc store and your hotel. This is exactly what you need after you go to Akaka falls. A refreshing snack. Uncle got it all. Even tajin lol. It cost $10 for most and it's worth it. He cut the coconut right in front of you and all the fruits on ice. For the love of fresh buko please let's stop before heading elsewhere. And that's what we did after splurging our eyes at Akaka Falls from afar. MAF offers fresh buko juice, fresh pineapple, dried banana treats and crafted necklaces. Bandit and I gave ourselves buko juice fresh inside the buko shell. The two owners will be happy to open the buko so that you can have the flesh from it which is nostalgic to me every time coz it reminds me of my childhood way back home. And the best part of it is when the flesh is young! That's the sign that you got the good omen that afternoon. LoL. It was refreshing and feels good to have fresh sweet buko juice paired with its young flesh. In addition to that, Dumdumz got me a hono necklace crafted by one of the guy's aunt. It was simple yet meaningful. Took an extra minute to chill within the area and we were so fond with this chicken with fat legs (we call it bantam way back home). People come and go in a snap after grabbing their buko but I suggest you to take time immersing yourself on the area and feel the fresh trade wind and just enjoy while sipping your fresh buko juice. Suh-weet!!! Farm fresh coconut and pineapple! We saw this fruit stand in Wailea on our way to 'Akaka Falls State Park on Highway 22 (Big Island). We stopped by on our way back after a short hiking experience to see the waterfall. It was our fourth waterfall sightseeing for the day so we were a bit hungry and we didn't really see any food places around so we were delighted to spot a fruit stand. Mana's Aloha Farm offered yummy, fresh sweet pineapple and coconut. They cut up the pineapple for you and put them in a plastic zip-lock bag. If purchasing coconut first they cut the coconut, stuck a straw in it and handed to us to drink the coconut juice, then we handed it back to them so they could cut open and scoop out the meat for us. The price for each is $10 for each! Yikes! A little steep. We didn't want to leave Hawai'i without trying fresh pineapple and coconut right from local growers... we had to get both. I'm not fond of coconut as my hubby is but the pineapple was juicy, sweet and delicious! The last time we had fresh fruit like this was when we were growing up in the Philippines as kids. Fresh fruit and friendly folks at a fruit stand way off the beaten path normally would always get 5 stars. But the prices are crazy high. It's $10 for a ziplock of pineapple, $10 for a coconut, and $10 for some chopped up sugarcane. You certainly don't have to order everything, or even anything., but still The pineapple was fantastic. The coconut was very fresh and goes well with the pineapple. The sugarcane, with lime added, was really good (you don't eat it--you suck on it--and it's sweet and tangy). This felt like something out of a movie. We happened upon this lovely little stand on our way to Akaka falls and on our way back decided to stop in for some fresh coconut and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. They were so friendly and cracked a coconut open right when we walked up. I had never experienced fresh coconut right out of the shell and it was life changing. We stopped by Manas Aloha Farm to enjoy some fresh coconuts after our visit to Rainbow Falls. This place is really convenient and has great service. I have to mention it is a bit pricy especially considering how abundant coconuts are in Hawaii. We paid $8 for one coconut and even though they cut it for you to eat after drinking the coconut water I do think this price is steep. The price is the main reason I can't give it a 5-star rating. The coconut water tasted really good and refreshing, but I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of the coconut meat. The farm is littered with chickens and roosters walking around eating the leftovers which makes the experience that much more interesting. You can give them your leftovers if you'd like, but they won't stop bothering you after so be prepared for that! Overall I do recommend this place, but just be aware the prices are rather high and I believe they only take cash. read more

The pineapple with the tajin seasoning and lime juice was amazing! I don't think I'll ever go back to eating pineapple without it again! We had sugar cane after 25-30 years. Used to be a favorite ( especially sugarcane juice with salt, pepper, ginger and lime) when in Pakistan years ago. Hadn't even seen it again since then. So our group got pretty excited! This place is awesome! It's located near the entrance of Akaka Falls, pretty hard to miss. They sell locally picked coconuts and pineapples. We got the coconut, which they let us sip the juice, and afterwards cut up the coconut meat inside for us. Sooo delicious. They have this amazing white pineapple that's dank af too. The guy that worked there was so chill. I totally forgot to ask for his name, but he cut up our coconut and sat and chilled with us for a bit before we went to our next stop. Make sure to bring cash since they're cash only :) Got the coconut where they create a hole at the top so you can drink it with a straw. When you're finished, they'll cut it open and slice the coconut meat up for you. The meat was so tender it nearly melted in my mouth. We also got the sliced pineapple which was super juicy and sweet. We tried the sugar cane as well which tasted like candy. They serve it with lime which you squeeze over it, chew up the sugar cane, and spit it out once all the juice is gone. Simple and nice! After driving by so many fruit stands on the Big Island I had to pull us over after coming out from Akaka Falls. It's $8 for a coconut. We both got coconuts and no other fruits, because they were massive. The guy working will cut it on the spot, give you a straw, and then cut it up for meat after you're done. We walked our coconuts over to check out their peacocks while drinking, and then to play a little with their chocolate lab. It can be a little bit of an attraction! The coconut was fizzy(interestingly, they're apparently not always fizzy). The meat was crunchy and made for a day of snacks after. They apparently grow all the fruits they sell here. read more

Was leaving Akaka falls state park when I decided to stop here to get some fresh cut pineapple. There was a long line and I waited about 10 minutes. Not only is this place a big rip off, but they are also unclean. They charged me $5 for half a pineapple that they chopped up and placed into a small ziplock bag for me. Half the pieces weren't edible because it was the pineapple stem and two pieces had hair on it. Yes, this place is convenient and lures you in on a hot day visiting the park, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. read more

Great, great, great! We pulled into the stand after hiking around Akaka Falls. They cut 5 fresh, large coconuts and handed them to us. I had an ample amount of juice in mine. I ended up having to put the rest of the juice in a solo cup. We then handed the coconuts back and they harvested the meat right in front of us! My coconut ended having a "coconut gel" in it that turns out to be a delicacy amongst the locals. The two gentlemen were very nice, answered our questions, and did not mind taking photos.
