During the weekends you'll see the pool taken over by youth swim lessons. The deck is very small/narrow. When walking you might bump into a lifeguard walking and doing their job on the deck. It feels tight. There are no high bleachers so come early to find a good spot to watch from. They do have benches surrounding the pool on the deck. The center is an older center but has all your basic needs. Locker rooms don't appear the cleanest but has showers. The shower water goes from warm to cold when more than 1 or 2 are using it. This location also has a preschool with a small playground on site.

Normally my husband takes our daughter to her class, but he had a dentist appointment today so I attended instead. After this experience, I honestly would have pulled my daughter out of this gym immediately. The substitute/manager I spoke with initially provided me with inaccurate information regarding my daughter moving up to the preschool class. Later, when I spoke with the front desk employee, she told me the teacher had been giving parents the wrong information all day and proceeded to reprimand the teacher in front of everyone when she returned. It was very unprofessional to witness staff correcting each other publicly. Afterward, the teacher attempted to backtrack by saying my daughter needed a lot of help. This had never been mentioned during the earlier conversation about the preschool class, especially considering there were only two children in the class at the time. This was also the first and only time this teacher had ever worked with my daughter. Her regular coach, Shay, was on vacation. Honestly, Coach Shay seems to be the only person holding this place together. The staff turnover is extremely high, which is very concerning. Considering the cost of tuition adds up to well over $1,000 per year, there should at least be some type of progress notes or communication system in place so parents receive clear and consistent information about their child's development. When I called back to speak with a manager, the same rude front desk employee transferred me to the same teacher she had just reprimanded -- presenting her as the manager. This only added to the confusion and lack of professionalism. Lastly, the facility itself is very outdated and unclean. There is a noticeable odor when you walk in, and the floors and equipment appear dusty and dirty. The cleanliness of a gym where children are constantly on the floor should be a top priority, but that clearly is not the case here. Because of this experience, they will not be receiving any more tuition from us.

I genuinely enjoy this facility and wanted to share some feedback regarding the current pool safety…read morepolicy, specifically the requirement that children under 48 inches remain within arm's length of a parent or guardian in the toddler pool area. While I appreciate the facility's commitment to safety, I believe this policy may benefit from review in certain circumstances. My five-year-old is slightly under 48 inches tall and is a capable swimmer but he was still given a yellow bracelet because of his height. During our recent visit, a staff member (she seemed to be the one in charge) told us about the arm's length requirement while my son was playing in the shallow toddler pool area, which only reaches ankle depth. I fully support close supervision requirements in deeper water or for infants and young toddlers. However, the current policy creates some practical challenges in the toddler pool area: 1. The shallow depth of the toddler pool presents minimal risk for older children who can swim. 2. Multiple parents attempting to maintain arm's length proximity in a confined space leads to congestion and difficulty navigating around one another. Which can make things even more difficult trying to keep an eye on your child and your child's constant movement when you have a parent in front of you trying to keep an eye on their child. 3. The policy becomes impossible to enforce when children use the toddler play structure and mini slides, where parents cannot physically maintain arm's length distance. Maybe some parents can fit going up the structure, but we certainly cannot fit going down the slide. We would have to go back down the steps of the play structure and then try to get to our child who most certainly is farther away from us because kids do not sit still. I believe a modified policy that considers both the child's swimming ability and the water depth would better serve families while maintaining appropriate safety standards. Perhaps children who demonstrate swimming competency could be permitted greater independence in ankle-deep water, while maintaining stricter supervision requirements in deeper areas.

All competitive lanes were closed for swimming even though they were advertised as open online. :( I have yet to see the diving boards used as they appear to be permanently shut down. Also, please, be very careful when you come and go. Every single time I have been there, someone has slipped and/or fallen on the facility's wet floors in the entryway. No cash is accepted...you will need to pay electronically. Lap swimming (link) is available by reservation only Monday - Thursday (drop-ins are permitted on a space-available basis but be aware that the lane you pay for may be shared with another swimmer). Reservations are not accepted or required Friday - Sunday (drop-ins only) - Most recent hours of operation (link), but call or check their website for additional closures. Also cool was the music box feature,which played several songs including "row,row your boat", "here we go around the mulberry bush", and "if you're happy and you know it". The highlight for older kids is the stand-up merry-go-round. There is one of the swings where the adult and baby can swing together too. There is a long tunnel slide as well as a tiny slide for tots. The setting in the woods is nice too. Parking is available in the lot at the front of the path to the playground. The playground equipment is brand new; definitely worth a visit if you're nearby.
