They are in‑network and the test is covered If Quest is in‑network for your plan and the test is a covered benefit, they cannot refuse service solely because: - they "don't like" the insurance - they think the reimbursement is too low - they previously had billing issues In‑network providers must follow the contract terms. Quest's own corporate policy emphasizes that in‑network status obligates them to provide covered services. Meanwhile - we all know uninsureds are getting treatment everywhere for anything, while our insurance is paying for their care - I got denied right here in LWR.

After waiting for nearly an hour and a half, I knocked on the door after fasting and it was close to 10:30 am. I explained I was going into adrenal crisis and am dependent upon my medicine to stay alive or my organs shut down. It's fatal. So, I said I could leave and go somewhere else, was reassured I only had two ahead of me and dropped again to bottom of list with 10 ahead of me, quickly having a medical emergency. I'm definitely paying for it today medically. Maybe just assess the situation better or understand the bigger picture or just say make an appt or don't come at all. We don't know what we don't know. I could have died waiting and I'm a stranger so no one would have known what adrenal insufficiency means or to have given me my emergency shot. 5 kids without a mom and a widowed husband. I never get back to my mountains and die among strangers in a state that isn't mine that I'm just visiting.
