Very good neighborhood pizza & grinder shop. My husband and I split a calzone and it exceeded expectations; the crust wasn't too heavy, the sauce was robust and tasty, the fillings were good (though if I had one critique, the sausage was probably fairly average and not the best I've had). We had about 1/3 of it for leftovers. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. The service was good (you order at the counter, but the food came out pretty quickly and the staff was responsive), my friends also really enjoyed their reuben (which was huge) and bbq chicken pizza. When we were there, their credit card machine was down so they were only accepting cash. Hopefully they get that fixed. I'd definitely come back for a casual meal or takeout. read more

Trying to find pizza in Kentucky was not easy ! We checked out some reviews and found this local restaurant . The restaurant has several tables and seemed to be a popular place , as a lot of people were coming in for pickups. The pizza was fairly good yet different then what you find here in NY . We ordered a 12 inch size pie , it had a nice sauce and decent flavor with a softer dough and a crisp crust . We also tried the Cheese Calzone , it was small but crispy and cheesy . They don't make hero's but their big thing is grinders , basically a grilled sandwich . We tried two kinds , the marinated chicken and the steak grinder. To our surprise they were really delicious! They had me at "hello", when I walked in to pick up my to go order it smelled like the locally owned pizza joints of my youth. I got a personal pan with Mushrooms, Pepperoni and Sausage for $5.99, kids that is a bargain these days! 'Shrooms were sliced super thin, sausage pieces were large and pep had a great flavor. I was traveling to Virginia and found this place on Yelp for lunch. I have to say up front we were so hungers when got there completely forgot about taking pictures. I had the half blazing Chicken grinder and my wife the beef Ravioli. Even as hungry as I was I could only eat half of the half grinder as it was huge and very good. The place is in the shopping center at leestown and new circle. It's a nice place inside with a lot of seating. The Italian sandwich is very good. The bread seems house made and the ingredients were abundant and of a fairly high quality. Also, it's a big sammitch. They also offer a larger size that's like 18 inches long or something ridiculous. My husband surprised me and took me to mancinos for lunch. It had been quite awhile since we had been since we live on the other side of town. They have large sandwiches called grinders. A full grinder is 16in and a half is 8in. They also have pizzas and pastas. We ordered a half Italian grinder and a pepperoni pizza to split some of each. When they brought it out they had cut the grinder in half and put it on two separate plates for us. That was delightfully unexpected so we didn't have to try to cut it ourselves with the plastic silverware. One note, if you are not a fan of pickles tell them to leave it off the plate. I forgot they served sandwiches with a pickle on the side. I'm not a fan so that was removed from my plate quickly and thrown away. Outside of that the grinder was awesome and the pizza was delicious. We ordered a large so we would have some to take home. I will definitely be back. read more

Took the drive across town to give Mancino's shot after reading Heather P's glowing review! I called in a carry out order of pizza and a Reuben Grinder. Both were delicious! I had a traditional pepperoni pizza, extra cheese. Delicious, essential a New York style pizza with a nice, bright tomato sauce and delicious, fresh-tasing crust. The Reuben Grinder, in particular, stood out as being unique, which my reasoning for ordering it, plus I love Reubens! It was HUGE, about 18 inches long. Easily enough for 2 dinners. As noted by Heather, the bread they make is outstanding! If there's a better sandwich bread/roll in town, I'm not aware of it. This was my first time to Mancino's. I'm not a huge grinder person I guess you would say, but I gave it a try. I ordered the meatball grinder and my roommate ordered the chicken bacon and ranch grinder. All in all they were both pretty good, and cheap for the size (I could only finish half of the half). The only downside for me was I wish the meatballs had a little more flavor. It was good but lacking on flavor in some departments. The bread was also a bit soggy but I'm blaming that on the fact that I got it to go, and was running a bit late. I only had a few bites of the chicken bacon and ranch but it was pretty good! The fries were also soggy and a bit odd, I would not recommend them. The staff was nice and easy to work with. It was average, I'm not longing to go back but I'm glad I gave it a try! read more

We got the Pride large pizza (8 slices) and cheese fries with bacon as a to go order. Typically you know the routine with to go orders (a lot of times it's cold, especially fries) but I was definitely wrong. The pizza was phenomenal and the fries were piping hot. The Pride pizza comes with sausage which we substituted it with extra ham. I've ate their grinders too and they do not disappoint either but you better bring your appetite. read more
