Gluten free pizza is excellent. I have to leave wheat alone so it is very hard to find GOOD gluten free pizza. I am not a huge fan of thin crust but this pizza was excellent. I scanned the Yelp reviews of the numerous dining options in Brannon Crossing and decided that Bellacinos would be fine in spite of its current mediocre rating. 3 stars was about the max for all the spots nearby. It was, after all, within sight, so that was appealing. I'm nearing the end of my meal as I type. An Italian Grinder and fries. It was .... Fine. Ok. Nothing special. Mediocre. I've had dinner. Okay, so admittedly we like cracker thin crust anyhow, but this gluten free pizza selection is top notch. My newly gluten free wife (by force not choice mind you) has been in mourning over the mountains of food she can no longer consume, pizza being a hit straight to the heart. Because of severe food allergies in addition to celiac, eating out has become increasingly difficult so we have begun to search for, and chronicle, our gluten free adventure. For the sake of ensuring equal comparison, my wife has rated this pizza much better than MOD's but about the same price point. My Bellacino's Pride was excellent and next time i will get the gluten free crust just because i liked it better than the original! We will make this place a regular stop seeing as it's 2 minutes from our house!! Can't wait to try more things on the menu!! And THANK YOU for having gluten free options!! In my opinion, one of the best pizzas in the Lexington area. I'm a one topping guy, so I've tried a cheese pizza, sausage pizza, and mushroom pizza. They're all good. The sauce they use is flavorful, and they don't skimp on it like a lot of locals do. I hate a dry, sauceless pizza. Not here. My favorite of the three is the cheese pizza, but that's a personal preference. I do like the sausage they use. It's spicy and makes for a really flavorful sausage pizza. But the mushroom pizza is good too. You can't go wrong. I recently tried their grinders. Wow. They're good too. I went with the Zesty Deli. It has Capicolla (Italian ham), salami, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese and pasta sauce on it. I highly recommend. The employees at this Bellacinos are always super nice and helpful. They know how to find good help. Every time I come in here, I always wonder why it's been so long since I've been in. Taco Pizza is a total joke. 80% of the pizza had 0 meat and the parts that did have ribeye steak instead of ground beef. The sandwich had more tomato than meat. The staff acts clueless and I really had to pull up old photos to show them how hood it use to be. Little to no lettuce and its poorly chopped iceberg lettuce. This place use to be great but is a complete and total joke now. Do yourself a favor and get frozen pizza from Kroger or go to Little Cesars. I will not return unless something changes. read more

As always had a great meal here. I had the bellacinos club, my husband had the brazen buffalo chicken and my daughter the ham and cheese kids sandwich. They are kid friendly here with a "treasure" map for the kids to lock out a free toy in the treasure chest. The cheeses bread sticks are delicious. The bread tastes fresh and is light and crispy around the edges. They do have free wifi and saw they had gluten free pizzas. read more

It is not a bad looking place, better than some pizza places. We ordered a 9 inch turkey grinder. The price wasn't bad and the flavor was fairly good. However, I've never had such a little bit of meat on a sub anywhere. To paraphrase the old Wendy's commercial, Where's The Meat? This brings the value of the sub way down. I love a good sub; I've been all over Nicholasville, Wilmore and the southern part of Lexington, so I have had quite a variety and am not just being picky. You are well taken care of here. Service comes with a smile. The food is excellent. They do a grinder that's not on the menu I don't think. It's called the Wildcat. Have not been here in a good while, and I have to be honest, this place seems a little different. For one thing, they were crazy busy! The dude running the register was also answering their phone for orders, and they had six people running around in the back assembling orders like crazy. It probably didn't help that we were there at 6 pm on a Friday right before game time (Go Cats!), but I was still a little miffed that it took 20 minutes to order when I was only the third person in line. Regardless of wait time, I feel like they've definitely upped their game on the pizza. I was never super impressed with it previously, but tonight it was delicious. Ate here for lunch while visiting family in Kentucky. I had eaten at a Bellacinos back home in NC and wasn't impressed so I wasn't expecting too much when my brother suggested this place for lunch. But I was presently surprised!!!! Lunch was great! I ordered the turkey light sub and it was very tasty for a "healthy" option! The bread was light and crispy and is said to be baked fresh daily. My brother ordered a pizza for him and the kids, the crust was light and crispy and the sauce was flavorful. My aunt ordered the Italian sub and loved it!! Check it out if you have a chance... For instance, tonight 10/29 we placed a to-go order and my order was missing an ingredient and instead of making my wife's order fresh, they obviously used one top and three stale bottoms (it was thin, cut in half and the bread was't uniform and pointed in opposite directions) and then overcooked it. It was hard as a rock and inedible. I had to watch her pick the toppings out and eat it without the bread, having to throw most of it away. The good: the pizza and grinders really are cheap, along with that comes a decrease in value, the cheese is good though. The bad: the bread is chewy and thin, no real taste to it. Sometimes delivery can be slow taking up to an hour. The quality of anything other than cheese is cheap sandwich meat. The interior: only been in once, you can tell this place is meant to be delivery for sure. Nothing impressive to go in for. The rundown: if this is all there is that delivers to you it is ok, the people are nice except when they are busy then they can be a little curt. The crust was soggy/spongy, the sauce was bland, but the toppings were fairly decent.
