I cancelled at the last minute, my son went home sick with a stomach bug. I was not surprised to see the next day they had charged my card $300. I understand the fee. However, I was told when I called and cancelled I could use that credit to reschedule. The next week I called to book an appointment after my kids were done being sick. I tried making an appointment for Saturday. The receptionist told me she would have to call me back to confirm. I received no call back. I called again later during the day, and again could not confirm an appointment. She told me Erica was with a customer and they would let me know. I again never heard back. I called the next morning and was told that they would not be honoring booking an appointment with me . How is this okay? I have read several accounts of customers cancelling last minute due to emergencies, and in those reviews the money has been honored and put towards a service. How is it that we don't treat customers fair and equal across the board? I haven't ever really had to write a bad review or go to a manager before, I'm a normal person, a full time working mom with two little kids, I just don't understand how is this okay?

She was easy to talk to and truly listened to me. Together, we came up with a plan for my hair. I valued her input as she explained each step of her process. Sometimes, hairdressers can be jarringly rough with shampooing but Ava made sure the water temp was comfortable and massaged my head with just the right amount of pressure. The hot towel treatment after was heavenly. I'm happy to say my curls are back and well defined, unlike my last hair experience, where the hairdresser blew my hair out straight despite me sharing a photo of a curly hair style. After my hairstyling, I purchased small quantities of the products used. I've started using them and I'm very pleased. Salon Fig is not inexpensive, but I will definitely return. I called for an appointment the week prior to Christmas and they insisted that they don't take Groupons during Christmas week. After refusing me, I said that I would just pay for my visit and use my Groupon on my next visit. When I called for my next appointment in late Jan. 2019, they said that they only take Groupons for FIRST TIME VISITORS! I explained my situation but they didn't care and wouldn't honor the Groupon. The place seemed like an old lady salon, but I was lucky enough to get a younger stylist who did a very good job with my cut and color. I live within walking distance of the salon and would've been happy to be a regular customer but, after the way they treated me, I would never go back again. There a many similar bad experiences on the Groupon reviews, but I wasn't able to leave one there because I never used mine.
