Another adventure, Another business! Walking to my car I spotted this cute Apothecary store. The owner herself popped out and invited me in to come check out the place after looking a little lost outside the store lol. The place is so organized, clean, and smells amazing. They have a variety of incense, oils blends, candles, skin care and more. That's not even the best part. It's also a space in the back called the healing sanctuary for massages, small wellness classes and healing gatherings. It's so relaxing and that's just upon walking in so I can only imagine getting a services or just relaxing alone in there from time to time. The owner Lisa and store assistant Meadows were sweet ladies. They answered all of my questions, provided more details on the healing sanctuary/ room rentals, and info about the products made and sold in store. Cutest little spot off of Wells avenue for essential oils, lotion, scents, candles and bath bombs. All homemade and was informed that they do refills on most of the items sold. I purchased a small container of Shea butter for $6. Everything inside was interesting to smell and look at. They even offer small amounts of sage for less than $10. From the massage lotions and the essential oils you can expect to get lost and explore all that they have without paying too much out of pocket. After 3 years of telling my co-worker that I would visit his wife's massage oil and aromatherapy oil shop, it finally happened. I was looking to replace one bottle of my favorite oil, but as it happens in any hippie paradise, I got sucked into the cozy nest of fragrance. Everything about this spot is enchanting, aside from some of the expected Wells Avenue riff-raff, of course. The exterior is charming; a calming blue/gray, a beautiful wooden sign to welcome you, even a recycled rebar gate and mini garden in the front. Inside, you will be treated to a dimly lit, soothing atmosphere. The tiny attention to detail can be found throughout the nooks and crannies within. And the oils. You will find all of them, and then some. I was buying a supplementary Christmas gift on this occasion; an oil blend to pair with a soak purchased for Steamboat Hot Springs. Lisa told me that she was a former employee there, and had came up with some of the 'Signature' oil blends that they offer for an additional charge with soaks. This was a win-win situation for the recipient of this gift. I got a small bottle of bergamot, a 1/2 ounce of hinoki wood oil, 1/2 ounce of almond honey, a package of nag champa incense, and two custom roll-on blends made by Lisa, the owner. The total cost was $32, which was great considering this assortment. Lisa is a former massage therapist, and though she offers products from other sellers, she mixes many of the oil blends found in the store herself. She was kind enough to accommodate a request to buy a smaller bottle of one the oils that I could only find in a larger size, and made me a smaller version in the back room within a few minutes. She also sells bulk base oil blends for massage professionals, and she seemed flexible about combining oils or providing her input if you feel a bit overwhelmed. I spent far too much time inside, and left feeling refreshed and smelling like a dozen beautiful things. I will be back! read more

Met Lisa last week at a music event in mid-town and visited her shop this week. Picked up a blend called "positive breath", which has lemongrass, orange, clove, tea tree, peppermint, and eucalyptus. Also picked up a small essential oil diffuser that works for rooms up to 200 square feet. We're absolutely loving the scent and the way it makes us feel! It's citrusy yet balanced and makes me feel energetic and refreshed! Will definitely revisit her shop when I need a refill and perhaps purchase other blends. read more

She left me to join the virginia street shops, which is much better for her visibility...Because this is the place to get all your essential oils, she hand mixes all her blends and is very knowledgeable about them. Love this place! I first learned about essential oils from one of my yoga teachers who misted our studio with some. Also learned about the immune boosting properties of the Thieves blend and the En garde essential oils. The owner is a certified herbalist and she made me up a custom blend of immune boosting oil similar to En garde as everyone was getting sick around me. I rubbed it into the soles of my feet and did not get sick! Also bought the lemon grass blend room mister "Positive Breath", and the bottle of healing arnica blend for sore muscles. I will be back. I came across this amazing store while visiting friends in Reno. The owner, Lisa, is very knowledgeable about her wonderful selection of essential oils, aromatherapy products, and massage supplies. She uses only high quality essential oils and carrier oils.Lisa is very willing to help you make a personal blend or you can choose from her great already-made blends. Just tell her what you need or want and she will help you out. I am somebody who suffers from rosacea and have tried many lotions and potions to help reduce the redness of my face. Lisa's Tranquillo oil blend has been the only thing that truly helps get the red out. I have been using this product for a couple of months now and I am seeing a real difference. I also love her Muscle Therapy oil that I use when my muscles are sore or tight from too much gardening or exercising. Then there is her Brillante oil blend (mixture of various citrus essential oils) that I use as an spritzer on myself or all over in the house. It smells amazing and will lift your spirits.
