Diana was half an hour late for my appointment and told me that someone else answered the phone the day prior and booked with me, not her. Ok, no worries, mistakes happen. The quality of nail care I received is poor and my gel nails look like a gob of gel polish sitting on each nail that makes each nail look bulbous at the top and slopes down into the nail bed. I had polish and hardened gel stuck to my cuticles and the sides of my nails and my cuticles and skin around each nail is torn up pretty terribly. I have dry cuticles to begin with but that's why I came to a nail salon; and that's part of a manicure. I didn't even get my hands soaked prior to getting my cuticles jammed back which hurt. I'm super disappointed and unhappy as I made this appointment for my birthday AND I paid more here than at ANY other nail salon for super haphazard service and quality. read more

My mom, sister and I wanted a little pampering afternoon, so I made appointments at BBM based on their reviews. I didn't realize that they were located in The Basement (an awesome underground area with retail shops, places to eat drink, a flower show, a barbershop and this nail salon). The vibe is very cool, (darker colors, soft music and very comfy chairs). We pretty much had the place to ourselves, which made for a very relaxing experience. They do pedicures and soft gel or regular polish manicures. The location is perfect, because you can walk around and enjoy the other businesses here either before or after your pampering. All three of the ladies that worked on us were wonderful. If you're looking for an elevated pedicure, and don't want to smell or use harsh chemicals, this is definitely the place to go! read more

Never got service here. Me and my friend are from out of town and needed an R&R. Found great ratings here and decided to head over. No sign that they were closed online and only found out they're appointment only. Their website didn't even mention that and it seemed deceptive that it was an option. So just be careful upon arriving. We even tried to called twice and no response and was advised to leave a vm. Not sure what type of business is being run here but definitely not tourist friendly. My wife and I have been here a few times now. We like the vibe here (and in The Basement overall) and how relaxed and laid back everyone is. Maria and Liz are the two that take care of us and they both always do a great job. They're both friendly and good at their jobs (even though they're both keep teaming up with my wife to try to put color on my nails...not happening. Lol). It's a shame The Basement hasn't gotten the love we feel it deserves. If you're a local, get out and support the businesses in there. If you're visiting, consider spending some of your vacation dollars here as well. We need more local business like that. read more

Loved this Nail Lounge! The seats are so much more comfy than your typical stiff chairs that are supposed to have comforting massage settings but they always just hurt me! The chairs are on an elevated platform with the mail techs at an angle below you which makes it so much easier to hold your leg up for services. They offer regular and gel manicures and pedicures. The leg massage was great and the techs all professional and friendly. This is easily one of my favorite new nail salons! read more

This place is true to its lounge name. The vibe here is chill and I love it. Diana had a cancellation and called to fit us in. We had the place to ourselves so she let us control the music, kick back, and was fun to chat with. Drinks were complimentary (every place should do this) so we settled into the uber comfy lounge chairs, soaked our toes in copper bowls while sipping wine and just relaxed. I opted for the top level Dr's Orders pedicure since my hiking calluses needed some serious attention and left with incredibly soft feet. It's worth the splurge, so just do it. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to BBM Lounge and get another pedi - especially from Diana. read more

High price alert but worth the experience. . I got the second to highest price service. . So basically overall its a basic pedi but you get no stone massage. But comes with a drink of your choice, beer or wine or champagne. And a nice environment. . The service was phenomenal pay attention to cleaning and clipping. Also great with painting the toes in line and neatly. . Great stories being told while doing our pedicure. It was fun , funny , enjoyable and made our day. . We loved the comfy chairs and the environment. They even had a nice Bluetooth speaker where we can play our own music. . We will be back for some more pedicure soon on our next getaway trip. Basically you pay $90 to soak your toes, and have them spray on some almond oil to your fingers! Oh you get a "complementary" drink. If you want polish it's an additional $10 for toes and $10 for fingers. I walked out of there with feet that had been soaked, gel polished but not massage or lotion after so they were uncomfortably dry and still rough!!! Then for the toes...she barely filed them. Put on some gel. Didn't cure them all the way! Never touched my cuticles. I pay to have a manicure to have my cuticles and nail beds addressed!!! Great ambience but would never go back. A rip off for the price. So many other nail places will take the time to really smooth your feet and address your cuticles AND they'll give you a nice hand/foot massage! I want to give this place 5 stars because Diana truly made the experience a remarkable one. It was the day before my wedding and my girls had set an appointment up for us to get our nails done. Diana poured us some drinks and started my pedicure with cheers and even had a charcuterie board brought in. The ambiance really was welcoming and I love how she engaged in our conversations and was fun! But the reason, I give it a 4.5, is because the quality of the nails. One of my friend's nails broke the second day, a jewel fell off on one of mine and Im not a perfectionist but some of nails looked a bit messy. And it seems I don't convey what I want very well. At the recent Elite Event Soirée, I was introduced to the great new business. That's what I love about Yelp Events - discovering new places. At the event I wandered in and met several of the staff and talked about their services. Booked a manicure right then and there. Returned the next morning for my appointment with Connie. To start with, there's no more leaning over the table. You kick back in the huge comfy leather chairs. The tech wheeled from side to side while I relaxed. I went with a simple manicure. There's like five coats on my nails. They should last quite a while. Very happy. BBM Lounge offers wine and beer to sip on while enjoying a treatment. If you are looking for some hung stronger, you can order a drink from 7 troughs and it will be delivered to you. There are only six chairs in the lounge so if you have a party or more then six, you will have to get pedicures in shifts. Pretty dissatisfied. I went for some "me time" and I desperately needed a pedicure. I had walked past this salon before and it was extremely welcoming and it looked luxurious so I thought I would give it a try. I am new to the area and still searching for a nail spot. The pedi started out fine but shortly after starting, the nail tech began watching tik tok's and IG videos on her phone. I thought this would only happen for a short time but it continued through my entire pedicure. She had her air pods in so she couldn't hear me when I asked for another coat of polish. The color I had picked was thinner than I expected. I wasn't pleased. To top it all off, my nail polish started peeling the next day and my toe nail cracked right down the middle. Made appts here with my friend for 4pm on sat. Diana was who did my gel pedicure. They were running behind by about 25 mins. Which is ok but no one Ever apologized? They just told us to wait outside in the seating area down the hall and they would come and get us. It was almost 25 mins by the time they came to wave us in. Very small place, has a very masculine look and vibe. Dark navy colored walls, 7 leather chairs lined up facing towards the middle of the room. Large Brass bowls are what you soak your feet in. There is no tv, the walls are adorned simply with retro pictures of Reno. Cool thing is they have a menu from seven speak easy that is located right down the hall that you can order appetizers and drinks from that your able to enjoy while you get your pamper on. For the nails! I usually get the French tip everywhere I go and so I stuck with which I'm comfortable with. The bottom part of the Leather chair you place your feet upon is super soft and rounded, has no stability to it. So The UV light they placed on top would keep rocking into my wet toe polish and to stop it from doing that I had to hold my legs up myself. This is uncomfortable and although the leather seating is nice to look at it isn't practical? I asked her to cut my nails but make it flush with the skin but they were cut too short for a white tip. And bc of that my white tips are just too thin and not consistent throughout? Idk if she doesn't do many but this is not what I was hoping for. I did appreciate the scrub and hot stone massage that comes with it. But overall my white tips look too thin on a few where I can almost see through it.. I really wanted to love this place but price was $88 so $105 after tip for only gel pedicure which seems extremely high for the quality I received.. read more

Finding this place was an adventure well worth it. The decor in the basement reminds me of a tattoo shop. The exposed piping and ceiling are beautiful and the canvas paintings make it look very hip. Their spa chairs are so incredibly comfortable, I'll take these any day over massage chairs. Our pedicurists were super friendly and tatted up, we were so comfortable and pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, this nail salon is recently under new ownership, and I had a bad experience. My gel manicure and pedicure services from the owner were poor. My nails were filed jaggedly, gel on my cuticles, uneven polish that did not cover the whole nail, some bubbles = incorrect gel application. My toe nails were cut crooked, uneven coats of polish that did not cover the whole nail. My heel callouses were not addressed at all. Overall, the workmanship was unsatisfactory. The other nail tech (employee) seemed detail oriented, my sister received a good service from her. Update: gel polish cracking and flaking after merely 4 days! Worse wear than normal polish! I arrived a little before my appointment which must have been pretty close to opening so I was the only one in there and got started right away. I got the Dr's order which included nail care, callus scrub, salt scrub, foot mask, massage, then another massage with hot stones, and polish. Included drink but I ordered a mimosa from the bar. It was not considered an included drink which was a bit of a bummer. The package included trimming the cuticles, clipping the nails, and softening rough edges. Korrie (nail tech) was amazing. She made the whole experience relaxing for my husband. She was able to soften his heels that had cracked. He was apprehensive because of the word "salon". Unlike the majority of nail salons, BBM doesn't have the acrylic smell. The large leather arm chairs and copper basins help make the experience stress free. Of course the wine offered didn't hurt either. We already have another appointment booked in April. After discovering this super cool looking space in the Basement during a Yelp event, a friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a spa day here. I had a bit of a hard time getting someone on the phone to make an appointment at first, but I left a message and they sent me a text message to book aa couple days later. Once we were texting, the communication was very easy and I was even able to text for updates to our appointment times and such. The ladies who did our mani/pedis were so friendly and we had a great time talking and getting to know them while we got pampered. I love that every service is done from the comfortability of a plush leather chair. I didn't have to move the entire time we were there and felt truly relaxed. Their gel polish selection is a little limited, but all the basics are there, plus a few extra fun ones. And the pricing is pretty standard for a spa gel polish mani/pedi.
