Of all the night clubs on Vallarta's malecon, Mandala has been my all time favorite. I had my birthday celebration couple years back. Pretty much same program at Mandala, you're lured in by outside staff with either "freebies" or deals. Never had to pay cover charge, always had great seats, views and service. Seems to be not so much action on the dance floor before 11pm, at least times we've gone. However, the music always keeps you amped and pumped. Whether it be reggaeton or hip hop, Mandala will always pull through with their upbeat sounds. There's always tons of staff throughout the club and security crew at entrance. I sometimes think staffing is way overboard and it looks more overboard when staff are huddling around congregating at their post doing nothing. Last night's experience was good. We club hopped from one spot and ended up at Mandala where we got VIP and bottle service as well. Between the two spots we went to, Mandala definitely had the vibe we were looking for. In fact, we left the first club because Mandala left a lasting impression on us when we passed by it. Mandala was an interesting club. There wasn't really a centralized dance floor, but people were just dancing all over the place next to tables and lounge chairs. The women's bathroom was excessively clean and massive, which was much appreciated. My bachelorette party had the pleasure of sitting in the VIP booth with the DJ. It was for sure the best spot in the house. It overlooked all the club minions below and was in a prime spot to be seen by people walking on the Malecon. The DJ was great. I thought he played better music compared to the spot we went previously. He had a good mix of hip hop and reggaeton going, and he even played a song for us that we requested. I didn't handle the ordering, but I was told that the bottle of 1942 Don Julio we initially wanted was double the price in USD. We skipped on it and got a cheaper bottle, which we found to be comparable to the US price. In other words, you're not saving any money by doing bottle service at this club. Not really a club in my opinion. It's a huge bar where you can dance in the hallways and they overcharge you for a picture. $25.00 for a picture. They try to get you in and treat you nice until they start getting packed and inform you that you must give up your seats unless you buy bottle service. The dance floor is nonexistent and the music was pretty bad. Not really my cup of tea but it was my birthday and I wanted to dance gosh darn it so I had to suck it up. Checked out Mandala when I was in PV for my birthday. The locals we all asked said go to Mandala on Saturday. So we proceeded. We got a hook up at our local resort and did the open bar wrist bands. It was worth it as we finished 4 bottles during the time. The club itself is nice and the music was good when we were there. Overall, everyone had a good time. The bad is they pack the club so tight, you are literally pushing people to walk through. A lot of locals and tourist, so the mix was good. Second reason why it's 3 stars, are the table guys who demanded a tip. We tipped the guys throughout the night and the guy came back and said we need more. Not only did he came back after we gave some more. He came back again and wanted even more but went to a different person in the group. Stood around us and waited. Enough was enough, we left. This place is packed every night as it is right on the strip with a bunch of bars and clubs. I was there for my Bro's bach and we hit up every spot we could in a weeks time and this spot was the best. We came to this club every night as it was the most crackin club in PV. They had all types of themes each night. All the contests they had were definitely Snap worthy and the service was off the hook. It was hot af in there and they had ice and bottles on rotation and we never had to ask for a thing. It was full service and they ended up knowing our names and drinks by the the end of the trip. Better mainstream music would have got this place jumpin as the high energy EDMex music lol gets old after awhile. They have Mandala's all over so I'm now on a mission to compare them all. read more

Came here with a group of girls and got bottle service. It wasn't that hard to get it and was about $40 US dollars per person (for a group of 11) but got plenty of alcohol and were even able to take the stuff we didn't finish home. There is a very mixed aged group of people here! Music was great, they played Spanish and some English music! I think the best part of this club was the bathrooms! BEST BATHROOMS EVER! Loved it here! I came with a group of friends and it was our first time coming to exploring Puerto Vallarta and its downtown. We had heard good things about mandala, with the only negatives being the priciness of the place. As tourists from America, we wanted to make sure that the club and the area it was in was safe and it definitely was! This was honestly one of the most upscale nightclubs that I've ever been to. Another thing worth mentioning is how clean, huge, and nice the bathrooms of this place are, especially for a nightclub. From what I hear, the ladies bathroom has the best lighting! We got here on the early side around 10:30pm, and there was barely a line and no cover, which was great! The staff was friendly and the vibes were incredible. Everything from the lighting, music, dancing area was awesome. We even made some friends who were actually from Oakland, CA and turned out to be so much! Original Date: 7/2/2015 Last night in Puerto Vallarta...party time! We brought our tickets from Misael and Giovanna beforehand (staff members from the activity center of our resort). We took a taxi with our new amigos Andres and Walter to Mandala which is located on El Malecon Boardwalk. Wow it was a huge crowd to get into the club as there was no lining up like back in the states. Our friends were drinking so they got a wristband as me and my friend got a ticket indicating that we aren't drinking. The security guards had to pat down the male attendees and check the purses/handbags of the female attendees. After all that is done, someone pointed to an emptied table which is right back the stairs where people are constantly going up and down the stairs. The music is pretty much all fist pounding and techno style but with one or two songs that you can really dance to. The decor is so awesome and the vibe in the sections are very loud and crowded. It was their Mardi Gras celebration with majority of the people were in white attire. Overall it was a kick ass way to end our last night of our vacation here! read more

Anyone else felt like they were in Vegas here? Nothing wrong and to be quite honest I found this club aesthetically appealing. I really wanted a once in a lifetime experience to party in Puerto Vallarta and it wasn't here. Womp. Planned a bachelorette party for a night of clubbing and they were able to get us bottle service last minute. Many thanks. Mind you that their bottle service is pretty pricey! Do your research. The songs they played were pretty modern which includes EDM, BUT they repeated some songs. Womp. We definitely wanted to hear more Rigaton music, which they rarely played. There's good security here and I felt safe. The staff were amazing and very attentive to any requests, i.e. more drinks haha. Definitely a hotspot for tourists. Not many locals here, which makes me question where the real party is at? Anyways, the line to get in is pretty long, so I recommend getting here before the crowd. :) read more

This club was really a fun place to say the least. Great crowd and good music. I took my brother and 10 guys for his Bachelor Party Trip to Puerto Vallarta and we settled in on this club which had the lights and music and scenery which drawn us in. Its right off the Malecon and access to the beach. The ratio of girls to guys was 3 to 1 (girls to guys). The drinks where really good and they actually had good service with making sure we were taken cared off at a table, not even any bottle service needed. I highly recommend this place to any group interested in having a good time with tourist and locals a like. I will be back again soon! read more

The music was way too loud and it was impossible to talk to people. One member of our party saw the member get escorted in a very demanding and dangerous manner. The club was nice but the DJ sucked. We went on a Sunday night (August 19) and our crew loved the environment. The bartender, waitress and staff were all top notch. The only thing that sucked was the DJ. He played music that was cool in the US like 5-6 years ago but he was not in line with what's cool in LA and NY today. We requested Cardi B and Bad Bunny which is what's trending in the US and he made a face like he didn't know what that was. This is the nicest nightclubs Puerto Vallarta. We were walking the boardwalk, aimlessly rather, and stumbled upon this place. Really lively vibe. A lot of tourist and locals. If you are a couple and not with a large party, they are very accommodating. We were walked right in no cover. We were seated at a VIP table for 2 ( we didn't even buy bottles, as we don't drink alcohol). They have your extensive club drink menu. Ambiance is real modern, great lightly, decor and sound system. Horrible place - stay away!!! They're such scammers and they take advantage of tourists!! My friends and I went there for a bachelorette party. They said we'd get a table for a bottle service, we got a 3-person bench . They wouldn't give us any of the liquor bottles we wanted and our waiter kept saying that he had one could give us this other bottle that was a lot more expensive than what we wanted. We said fine bring that bottle. After we finished the bottle that they brought us, a new waiter showed up and he brought our check and it was more than what was on the menu. Then he thought that I was drunk and he showed me a total on a small calculator and he was tipping himself $100 (USD). I told him no, and he wouldn't give me my card, and he took me to the back where other staff members surrounded me trying to scare me and force me to sign the receipt. I finally got my ID and CC and left. My friends and I went to a different place. If you're a guy and speak English or a tourist, they will take advantage of you. The WORST CLUB EVER in PUERTO VALLARTA !!! Do NOT COME HERE. Let me start with the worst that happened, the table service guys will keep pushing you out of the way rudely while trying to dance. They pushed my mother who is 70 years old and the pushes were completely hostile. When I asked him why he kept pushing my mother, he decided to radio the rest of security to kick us out.
